Our vendor who uses a CNC machine to cut out our sheet metal parts needs our fabrication drawings to show decimal inches to create his CNC program. When we receive the finished parts back from our vendor, our shop verifies the bent sheet metal parts using tape measure which are imperial fractions. The parts aren't highly critical so we don't get into any problems using decimals and fractions. Is there are way using dual dimensioning to show decimal inches as the primary dimension and fractions as the secondary dimension? I've tried several different configuration options and none have worked. If there are no settings to do this, does anybody have a work around? Thanks, Steve
I see, that I'm not able to have some different corner reliefs in my part done by copy geometry from skeleton. Are there some suggestions?I can apply modified corner reliefs, but this do not have any influence on the geometry. Thank you!
I am modeling part, which will be 3D printed, using SLA/FDM printers. I am looking for any tips to model a representive weld on a part. The basic design is a tube inside of a yoke, and I would like to represent a stick weld on the end.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M190 In the model tree in the lower left corner of the engineering drawing, opening the model, and then clicking the drawing window from the model to switch back to the drawing interface will crash. What are the reasons for this kind of problem? Hello, ProGroup t_Group;ProLocalGroupCreate((ProSolid)asm_mdl,feat_id,num_refs,L"COMPONENTS_TOP",&t_Group); I have something like this, asm_mdl is an assembly with many part components in, feat_id is an array (feature id) of some (not all) components part inside the assembly, num_refs is the size of the array. When I run it, a confirmation window opens and says "Group all features in between YES or NO".When Yes, it creates a Group with all components in the assembly. When No, nothing happens. My problem is that I want to group only some part component (the id I have putted in the array) not all.Another problem, when I create two groups sequentially, the second group is created inside the first group. How can I avoid it? Thank you guys! @MichelH @YaroslavSin @rghadge @RPN

Hi, We'd like to take advantage of the Windchill 'Publish to CAD' functionality, which allows a CAD structure to be driven from a WTPart structure, however we're hitting a regular problem where a part with dependencies is removed from a structure. Steps to recreate the problem... 1) Create a Creo assembly of 2 sub components, with the 2nd component assembled to the 1st... 2) Create WTParts for all components, and build the WTPart structure... 3) Remove the 1st component from the WTPart structure, and use 'Publish to CAD' or 'Compare to CAD Structure' to drive the changes into the CAD structure... 4) Open the updated CAD structure in Creo, the changes are correctly shown... Everything works correctly until this point, however after accepting the changes, Creo reports an error and rolls back the changes... It seems Creo is unable to deal with a component being removed where it has a dependency (assembly constraint, sketch, datum, xsec etc.), this

hi. CREO 4 user, here. sometimes I need to have different arrow sizes for some dimensions (i.e. on a second page or a detailed view). I know that I can set the arrows dimension (height and lenght) for the whole drawing, but is there a way to set these parameters for just one dimension? or, maybe, to lock these values to the text size through a ratio parameter? I'm asking that because I don't know if it's even possible, as a lot of other options are locked or hidden by default by the IT department of the parent company. thanks for your help, for reading this. have a nice day
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.3.0When I print the main wiev of a welded assembly in creo parametric, it prints all the welding symbols even if they are hidden. How do I print just the assembly without the symbols?
Hi All, In Cabling environment, I need to get connector Ref_model attribute as shown in below image using toolkit.I was trying to read parameters of connector but there isn't any parameter which refer to this Ref_Model.After loading the .nwf file where this Ref_Model is stored to particular connector ? Thanks in Advance for the help. Regards,Harsh Patel
Hello All, We have a PTC service contract where we can upgrade to the latest Creo version. We were quite behind on this so we jumped from Creo 3.0 to 6.0. One thing that we have noticed is that we lost access to the Merge/Inheritance feature when we moved to Creo 6.0. I am not our administrator and that person recently left the company. My understanding is that the Merge/Inheritance feature is only available with the Creo Design Advanced license tier. We are running Creo Design Essentials (T1). If we had Merge/Inheritance with Creo 3 under the same license contract, why did it go away when we moved to Creo 6.0. Did the creo package tiers exist with Creo 3.0? Did our company drop our tier level down on the last license renewal?
Hello, Do you know how to get model ID in an assembly.I tried ProMdlIdGet but it gives me the ID of the model part separated from the assembly. And when the model part has the same name but not the same placement, it always gives me the same ID.Well, how to get those feat ID in the picture?I have the assembly model, the list of part model, the ProAsmcomppath. Thank you very much. @MichelH @YaroslavSin @rghadge
Hi,I am not able to set Text below drawing dimension, If any one has solutions please suggest.
Creo是否有像UG一样的功能,在装配下可以直接忽略约束,直接对零件进行拖拽操作,而不用进到编辑模式进行? Does Creo have the same function as UG, in the assembly, you can directly ignore the constraints and directly drag and drop the parts without entering the editing mode? I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.2.0When trying to delete a pattern and all components in the pattern (not the delete pattern function that leaves the first item in the pattern) Creo freezes and I have to end task it. This happens randomly on patterns. Usually when I have 3 or more files open.I don't think this can be fixed in the current release I just have to remember, but I think this is something to look at for 8.0.3.0Here are the errors that I facedProgram Hangs
Hello everyone. I have an issue: Two pipes with straight edges (i.e. not prepared edges) are connected to each other. By using the Weld Wizard I create preparation with the following parameters: 2 mm root opening, 2.5 mm depth and bevel angle of 35°. Everything works well except that the weld being created as a surface. When I choose "Solid" in "Weld geometry type" Regeneration failure message pops up. How do I get Solid weld type?I will appreciate some help in solving this issue. Best,Sergey
When printing drawings from two computers where CREO is newly installed, the thickness of HIDDEN LINE, etc., does not match the setting. If you output the same drawing file from CREO on the computer where it is installed, it will be installed normally. This phenomenon occurs even though the CONFIG.PRO,DTL,PNT files are the same as the existing ones. Translated with Google Translate Translated by Corina Ionescu, Nov 22nd 2021
Hello, I'm not able to set LineStock Parameter with multiple values. If I use the following code, the BEND_ANGLE values are NOT set, and after this call, it is not longer possible to modify the line stock values in Creo manually. Technical Support seems not capable to give an answer. Here my Code, tk_linestockparam_Single_Debug() is an helper, code not here but the debug output. For testing have an assembly open, including one linestock, the code uses the name MYLINESTOCK. Hi,I am trying to define a spare parts catalog but I encounter many difficulties ...I notice bad behavior in handling snapshots and exploded view created by the "Make snapshot available in drawings" command. I'll explain:- I create my snapshot and make it available in the drawings, the program creates a corresponding exploded state.- I modify my exploded state by spacing components and adding explode lines. So far so good. The problem arises if I then need to modify the snapshot, if I update it, the program resets the exploded state !!! Frustrating ...Is there any procedure to avoid having to redo all the work from scratch?Thank youP.S. i use Cro 2.0 M250 and Creo 8.0
Dear Community, inside OTK Java free I am registering another JLink application using BaseSession::StartJLinkApplication. This works fine. JLinkApplication::IsActive returns true and I can see the registered app in Creo (4.0). Furthermore I can register a task by using BaseSession::RegisterTask. But if I want to excecute the task (JLinkApplication::ExecuteTask) with the same TaskId that I used for registering the task I get a XToolkitNotFound exception. If I want to register another task with the same TaskId I get a XJLinkTaskExists exception.I do not understand why! I also do not understand why I have to register a task on the BaseSession object but execute it on the JLinkApplication object. Could anybody help? Thank you and kind regardsMichael

Hi Guys. We have about 20 plus years of UDFs with family tables in them for all of our drilled water line holes, and drilled features. They were all made originally with a 59 degree drill tip angle. I want to change to 70 degree (140 total) on these...but not have to redo 20 plus years of UDFs and family tables. I added in the config.pro this line:drilled_hole_tip_angle 140 This works great when using the hole creation feature with in Creo 7 (making new) But i want to use my udfs with family tables....that has a lot of standardized depths, and sizes for certain fittings and such already defined. I cannot seem to modify the udf, and add in drill tip angle into my family table. Anyone care to take a quick look at this? attached is one of the many UDFs i want to modify.Jay
Hi Guys,So we have a plotter that used to be to be on the network.I was able to have my .pcf file point to this. Below is my .pcf file.Plotter was on network “...”Plotter called “...” plotter postscriptbutton_help Print C sized ANSI to Ricohplotter_command windows_print_manager “...”delete_after_plotting yespen_table_file “...”paper_size Cplot_label NO plot_stroke_text YES Now we are pointing directly to the printer on some older windows 7 computer.printer address is: “...”printer is called “...” What should my .pcf file look like. I cannot seem to get anything to print. I tried editing the above .pcd file and just calling out the printer name with no luck. plotter_command windows_print_manager “...”also tried:plotter_command windows_print_manager “...” Do i need to change the plotter call out to something other than postscript? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Plotter prints fine in other software on these older windows 7 computers. Just not Creo Thanks,Jay
