Now other 3D modeling software can save STP with Chinese name. When can Creo save STP format with Chinese name? It's hard to save it now!!!!!!!!
Hello all, I am using this software from 2 weeks now and was able to complete and understand some of the basic functions and examples with the help of the tutorials. Now, I am eager to solve some more complicated problems. But to make sure that I am doing it correctly, I am in search of some pre-solved solved problems or some advanced tutorials. Can anyone just help me in getting those or please share the link? Thank you all in advance.
Using CP 4. End goal is to be able to swap out un-related PN in the next-higher-level assembly via family tables. Intermediate Assembly #1 has a tabulated drawing. It uses instances of part #1 and part #2. They are mutually-exclusive (i.e. it uses either part #1 or part #2, but never both at the same time). Key point is that they have similar form-fit-function, thus are mechanically interchangeable for the purposes of this discussion. Part #1 and Part #2 are separate files. Made by different people. And each of them have instances. The key point is that they DO NOT follow the same modeling philosophy. But in the context of my next higher assembly, they are "equivalent". I made an interchange assembly containing Part #1 and Part #2 so I could automagically switch them out. Defining reference pairs between Part #1 and Part #2 is the *FAIL*. Assembly #1 references a datum plane of Part #1. The per
This is for Creo 7. We have mapkeys tied to buttons in the GUI that allow users to very quickly pick some of our more common materials. They work great the first time but one of the issues is the "set as master". If a user clicks on the mapkey a second time however the material changes to be PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS. It appears that everytime you invoke "set as master" mapkey(continued) ~ PopupOver `finder` `listPopup` 1 `FFileListPHLay.Filelist`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Open `finder` `listPopup`;~ Close `finder` `listPopup`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `finder` `FAddPushLib`; it toggles between the material you meant to assign and the PTC system material. Anyone figured out a way around this so it doesn't toggle the PTC system material? Obviously training is an option. I could tell users to put the material in a tree column or just to pull up the assign material dialog box and check before pushing the button but the goal here is to make their li
Hi All, I am trying to get the outline points (bottom left & right Top points) for the Table & Note but not able to get success. Although we can get outlines for the view using 'ProDrawingViewOutlineGet' function. Anybody can help me on this. Thanks for the help.
I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 6.0.2.0How to get license usage information in a text format?I followed the procedure mentioned : Double click “ptcstatus.bat” located under C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\bin which shows license utilization in command prompt. Is there any way if this data can be shown a word or document format? Please suggest
Help! I'm starting to tear my hair out trying to figure out why this won't work. I've created an .xml file that I want to import from the Parameters dialogue box. I've double checked the format. If the parameter in my list doesn't already exist, the parameter is created just fine. If the parameter already exists in the part, however, I can get the file to create a Duplicate with the "_1" suffix. But when I uncheck the "Duplicate if cannot Replace" option so that it will only replace the values of existing parameters, nothing happens. It never changes the values of the parameters. The example I have is a parameter that is simply called "N". Its value is an integer. The Designate box is unchecked. Access is Full. Source is User-Defined. The Restricted box is unchecked. There is no Unit Quantity or Unit. When I import the .xml file and click the Details... button I get the following message: The following conflicting parameters CANNOT be imported (possibly because they are used in R
Hello community, in the context of my master thesis, I want to consider the possibilities of Creo Simulate. I know that Creo Simulate uses p-elements, whereas e.g. Abaqus uses h-elements. I also know the general principles behind the two methods, but I could not find any detailed explanation of the element formulation in Creo Simulate. So e.g.: - are p-elements basically h-elements, but only with higher polynomial order? Or is there a basic difference in the formulation of p-elements? - do the p-elements in Creo Simulate also have midside nodes? - are the elements in Creo Simulate isoparametric? - does Creo Simulate use numerical integration, calculate stresses at integration points and extrapolate them to the intersections of the plotting grid? If you have any explanation or know a good literature, I would be thankful for your answers. Many thanks in advance.
Hello All, I have this situation where I create a drawing and I add a complicated geometric tolerance with text and symbols etc, which is fine and required for the design. But when I want to add a new geometric tolerance it shows the complicated one. Meaning I have to delete all the text, symbols etc. I think Creo remembers the previous one. Is there a way that I could get a blank slate every time when I add a new geometric tolerance? Best regards, Vincent
Hi, Is there a way in Creo to make a feature the same way as NPTF threads are made in the attached picture? The tool is not an ordinary threading tool with helical grooves, the spiral is instead produced by simultaneously rotating (blue) and feeding (red) the tool in the hole which is bigger than the tool. Is there a feature in Creo?I would like to make an accurate representation of a fully modeled thread for FEM analysis and “Helical Sweep” feature is not how the thread is produced. In Helical Sweep feature, the axis of the tool and the axis of the hole are the same. Can this be done in Creo?
Hi everyone, I am currently trying to apply a force on an assembly, a delta robot, more precisely on its end-effector. The problem is that the stress/force is not passing through the different parts. It is like if the static analysis is only considering the part I applied the force on. I have simplified this first analysis by bounding some parts, the one that are screwed together. I have also not included the bearings for all joints, the idea was to link the parts without the bearings. For that, I have used the "Function Pin" of the constraints. The first joints of the delta robot are blocked axially and radially, then, all other joints are just blocked axially. This method works on Catia V5. Attached to this post: creo-study1-1 and creo-study1-2 : show the result of this wrong analysis. creo-study1-3 : shows the way I have constraint the joints, which have 2 bearings. catia-study1-1 : this is the analysis on Catia V5 Anyone can help me, please?
Hello! I use Creo 4.0 M150 and sketch is slow on the new computer (intel i7, 32Gb ram, 512gb ssd). I use Creo 4.0 M150. New sketch contains many used edges from the assembly. Dimensions in the sketch is set for 3 seconds. What can i do to speed up work with this sketch? Everything else works quickly. Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) 6.0 6.0.4.0Getting XToolkitGeneralError when doing asyncConnection = (New CCpfcAsyncConnection).Start(startArgs, ".").Already made sure the env vars are set as follows :PROE_INSTALL_PATH=C:\PROGRA~1\PTC\CREO50~1.0\PARAME~1PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE=C:\PROGRA~1\PTC\CREO50~1.0\COMMON~1\X86E_W~1\obj\pro_comm_msg.exePRO_DIRECTORY:\PROGRA~1\PTC\CREO50~1.0\COMMON~1PTCNMSPORT=11239Also deleted the following reg entries so they would get reconstructed:a) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTC\pmap_mutex_listb) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTC\volatile_portmapHere are the errors that I faced XToolkitGeneralError, Im also getting "Creo Agent is not available : CREO Agent did not initialize correctly" when launching CREO itself, not sure if its related.

Hi, I was trying to make a simple spring mechanism for school project When creating this, I faced a problem that two pairs of dots are not simultaneously selected. As shown in the attached figure, pnt0 and pnt1 were set on the top and bottom of each part, respectively.I tried to select the other point by pressing and hold Ctrl key , but it didn't even work. How should I solve this problem? I don't know what the problem is.
Hello Everyone, I am trying to use spring from creo mechanism but unable to select the second point. Second point is circled with blue in attached image. Please suggest. Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.1.0I am unable to access files on another computer that we currently use as our storage/server It does not even show up as an option for access
Hi, I have subscription ending on 2025. I've received an email "eNews and alerts" announcing Creo 8-0-2-0. But Creo 8 doesn't appear on download page.I've just retrieve my licence file and there is just Creo 7.I can't understand why I don't have Creo 8. Is there anything to do ? Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric 2.0 M190When we try to connect creo parametric to windchill, creo parametric crashes when we go to the server management or when we validate the server. The browser cache and windchill local cache has been deleted but the result is the same: creo crashes. We have 2 computers with the same problem. I am using Creo Parametric - Release 8.0 (connected) 8.0 8.0.0.0When I am modeling a part it is rounding my dimensions to the nearest fraction. So when I type in 0.1943 it rounds it to 3/16. I looked in the configuration editor but nothing stood out. Thanks

Hi everyone, I have part A and part B in an assembly. Is it possible to have part A displayed as shading with edges while part B displayed as shading only? I have tried combined stated, played with view manager, but so far can't do it. Your help much appreciated. Cheers Sandy
Hello everyboby, I am curently designing a folding knife and I would like to use external references for the blade both in the open and close position relative to scale of the handle, could you please advise me on how to do so ? I don't know if it is possible to reference a sketch relative to 2 different geometries Best regards
Good morning. Wondering if anyone can help me with something for my programming guys. We are in process of moving to Creo 6 for machine programming and one my guys noticed when he is doing a standard drilling cycle, pecking, or tapping that the parameters for the tools selected are being auto-populated by a relation and not leaving the parameter tab yellow, signaling to my guys they still need to select the right pre-made drill parameter file for the operation. The auto-populated amounts are extremely high cut feeds and spindle speeds. The concern here is if the auto-populated amounts get forgotten and not changed it could be bad. In Creo 3, which we use now, it does not do this and leaves the tab yellow with empty cut feeds and spindle speeds, even after the tool is selected. We can then go and select a drilling parameter to use which will fill in the proper feeds and speeds. I'm wondering how I can eliminate these auto-populated relations tha
