Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I have some simple parts that are used in a number of places.  In the Reference Viewer I see a lot of External References... Is there a way to remove or break these references? Thanks

I have an assembly that has several sub-assemblies that all have Pivot constraints.   When I try to drag one assembly it also wants to move the other... Is there an easy way to lock the other assembly so that only the one I selected will move?   Thanks

Somewhere buried in this assembly there is a constraint that is preventing the ability to drag a sub-assembly that was installed with a Pivot constraint.  Is there an easy way to find it?

Hello community,   I just made a simple form and saw that two sketches are still visible which normally shouldn´t be visible. I can hide them manually but I wondered why they are shown now (like said, normally they are hidden automatically) I made a composition between the sketch "RAND" and "BODEN". Boden is the inner sketch and rand is the outer sketch. I have enabled the material for better visualization. Attached you can find a photo.   Maybe someone can help me to adjust this error. Hi all together   I have the following problem and could not found something about:I have an STL-File (with facets) and need the position data of each point at each intersection. Ideally in the form of a text table. I do need that to compare the CAD values with the final values after the production.   I made a section, than right click to get a curve of the cross-section. Now I have the curve but does that help me? I have no more ideas and hope someone of you can help me?!   Best regardsPatrick

What does your company do to show MBD on assemblies?  How do you get away with not having assembly drawings?  Do you do any sort of "ballooning" or a bill of materials?  Or do you just assume that the downstream user can navigate their way thru CreoView to find the information they need within the parameters of each of the parts?

Hello, I´ve used the ProEdgeTessellationGet() method in my CreoToolkit App, but realized that I only get a few points as an output (22 points for a 180° 200mm arc). Is there any possibility to get a better tessellation of Arcs, etc. or to even set a distance between the  points of the output with the ProEdgeTessellationGet method? Thanks in advance

I would like to preface by saying that I have lurked through the community forums in hopes of finding a resolution to my specific situation, but I haven't seen something that applies.  I have however run into methods of Family Tables and Configurations, and "Model Properties > Flexible" edits -- none of which have resolved my case. Hello   As we know, we can have dimension in drawing from part itself. All dimensions can be collected from solid by doing solid dimension visit for solid of drawing. Now, I am unable to recall visit API should be used to identify whether that solid dimension is visible in drawing or not.   I am having Creo 4.0 M070 toolkit license.   Something related to Displayed is there I guess, but that was deprecated and right now I dont have access to API

Hi, I have run into this issue before and haven't been able to find the setting to fix the issue. I have a workstation with a RTX2080TI NVIDIA graphics card running Creo 4. The surface in the attached image should show a single line drawing in the view in the upper right corner of the image.Anyone know how to fix this and what the config.pro settings should be?Thank you! I'm trying to remove a part simplified rep but it says it's referenced by drawing I have in memory. I checked the drawing and removed all references to the rep. Every view I have references the master model and there are no erased views that may point to simplified rep. Am I stuck with this rep in the model? Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks  

I am trying to use the blank from one sheetmetal part to make a new part.  The goal is to have a reference link in Windchill between the two parts to help insure that both models will be considered when a change is needed to one.   I tried creating the new part from an inheritance feature of the current part.  I was able to create the inheritance and unbend all bends.  However, when adding the new bend, the bend feature fails when the bend crosses the boundary of the old bend.   Thanks, Kevin   Here are the models.

In CREO 5; How do you show annotations (e.g. axes) by drawing view for one component in an assembly?  There is a right-click option in the model tree to show dimensions by drawing view, but not annotations.  Thanks.

looking for some help i was busy making some changes in a part with the assembly open in the background. i don't know what happen, maybe a caught a keystroke, but my model fell over and the undo button would not undo whatever had happened. in creo how do you close a part and discard the changes from the assembly? effectively putting the assembly and part back to before the changes where even started.   thanks

I want to utilize an offset section that I created within my assembly but when I go to apply it within my drawing the option is greyed out. This seems like I'm missing something obvious here, is this a limitation of Creo? Is it because it's a 3d view and not a planar view or is it because i am using a shaded view? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

I'm looking for a simple way to toggle all the components in my simplified to be the opposite display. Master rep items set to exclude and exclude items set to master rep. I have an assembly the way I want it but I have A LOT of trial and error / options / unneeded components that would like to get rid of or evaluate their need.  

I've been struggling to get Creo 5.0 to cooperate with section views in my assembly model drawing.  The assembly model contains a shrinkwrap.  When I initially created the drawing, Creo was able to create section views with no problems.  But now that I've gone back and made modifications/additions to the assembly model, Creo is suddenly failing several of my previously created section views.  Mind you, not all of my section views are failing, only a couple.   Creo is giving me the familiar error message, "Cross-section creation in "new_view_XX, on sheet X aborted".  I've tried all of the suggestions I've seen in these message boards to no avail; 1. Making sure the "Include quilts" box is checked. 2. Offsetting a plane from the section plane.   In the drawing configuration, I have the following set: 3. show_quilts_in_total_xsecs is set to "yes" 4. crossec_type is set to "new_style". I've also tried switching the values for these two options and nothing

I have a drawing format that I am creating. I have it all set to go but when I add it to a drawing, the only way to get the text to fill in is to add "&" to the text in the pulldown. How do I get the "&" to be included in the symbol so I don't have to add it all the time? Thanks.

Hello everyone I have a simple part with an internal diameter driven by a family table (changing it from 13 to 28 mm, see picture) Is it possible to have one manufacturing file updating the A diameter and consequently the TPs of the internal part? - holemaking (different drill diameters) - internal turning area (different boring tools)  - different distance from the center for the profile used for cutting the part     Thanks  

I want to extrude away some threads on hardware models that I imported as STEP files.  When I go to do this the "remove material" option is grayed out.    Questions: Why can't I extrude cut imported geometry? Is there an error in the model that needs to be repaired before I can do this? Is there another way? Thanks, Bob

Admittedly, "breaking" relationships between Copy Geometry / External References (model / skeleton relationship) should be done with extreme caution and after a lot of careful planning and thought.  It is generally speaking a terrible idea for a truly well planned and architeched Top-Down Design workflow in Creo (my humble opinion)... but does raise some interesting debates on design management philosophy...   So.... WHY would any sane person do this?!   Good question!  The most common reason we have heard "to decouple models for reuse (without the relationship baggage), eliminate accidental changes or make things more autonomous after design freeze or production release, etc... "...    So the "how?" has come up enough that we decided to create a short video to highlight some cool things about dynamically generating Creo Mapkeys using Excel Tables and Power Query... using Nitro-CELL.   Nitro-CELL makes the data in / out of Creo a breeze

Hello everybody,   I have the following task/problem at hand: I have an assembly of several parts which are placed with constraints. These parts can be moved within defined limits (for example on a translation axis). How can i extract the limits and axis on which movement is possible with the help of JLink? The part of the documentation that I think is relevant (chapter: Assemblies and components) does not seem to provide a clear answer. I am using Creo 4.0 M070.   Thanks in advance for your help!!
