Hello everyone, I created a component in 3D, and then created any simplified representation, such as NO-A, N0-B, and then saved it. Then I created a new engineering drawing and selected a simplified representation such as NO-B, but the repeated area still shows component B. How can I solve this problem? Thank you --------------------------------------------------------------Translated the topic from Simplified Chinese to English using Google translateSubject - 工程图简化表示不起作用Body - 大家好,我在3D建立一个组件,然后建立任意一个简化表示,如NO-A,N0-B,然后保存,接着新建工程图,选择一个简化表示如NO-B,但是重复区域还是会显示元件B,请问这个问题如何解决,谢谢-By Community Moderation Team--------------------------------------------------------------
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0Why is the next version of Creo 12.4.0.0?
Hi, I have a parameter called cage_code. I want the blank cage code in the bom column to read 96906. I have another parameter called part_number. I want part_number MS51959-15's cage code to read 96906, which is currently blank. I saw a tutorial on Youtube that showed the following relation that worked: IF asm_mbr_part_number=="MS51957-15"asm_cage_code="96906"ELSEENDIFThis looks pretty straight forward and looks like it will work. Why does it not?Do I need to do something to the cage code in the bom that reads &asm.mbr.cage_code? I tried something like &rel.asm.mbr.cage_code. That does not work. Please help. WayneF
We want to export multiple Creo drawings to PDFs that are in a windows folder. I am considering to export using Excel based VBA macro. I combined the sample macro provided as a part of installation, Async_Mode_Example.xls & the VBA code provided at https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS141963. When I run the macro it fails at model.Export line. The error thrown is pfcExceptions::XToolkitNotDisplayed. I am stuck and not able to proceed. Please help. Let me know if additional information is required. I tried with Creo7 & Creo9 but still I see the same error.
Have an imported STP file. Using the IDD repair too, have selected Repair, Fix Tangency option. Seems to just make it worse every time I run it. End up going from 7 'Bad 2 side edges' to 141. Can someone point me in a direction to solidify this part? Path of least resistance, hopefully.
Hi,I am currently working on creating an interface between Creo 9 and KISSsoft. I am following the manual provided by KISSsoft (2023) to complete the necessary steps, but I am encountering difficulties. Additionally, the information available online is quite limited, which makes troubleshooting challenging. (I have tried all three variants from the manual) Issue: When I click "Create New Gear" in Creo 9, an error message pops up. The message refers to Applisoft, which I´m have also contacted. However, when I check the specified folder, there is no such file present. If I create a file with the suggested name and then click "Create New Gear," nothing happens — not even an error message anymore. So what is wrong? Also this text is in the Creo console: (Nothing there is linking to the Folder above) Or is there a specific procedure I should follow to make this work (e.g., opening certain files first, executing specific steps, calculate a gear first, etc.)? Thank you
I am having trouble with using the spring idealization in simulate. We are on Creo 9.0.8.0. I read through the different PTC resources and have tried a variety of different tactics to see if I could get a model that makes sense. At this point, I think it has to be a lack of experience/understanding on my part. I attached the files I could. I am at the point now where I will probably just create a surrogate material with the properties I need to continue, but I would like to understand where I am going wrong. I used Spring point-point pairs where the point is on the surface of the model. Tried constraining the points to be rigid and leaving them free. Tried "burying" the point inside the material. Tried using holes in the material with the points centered on them with both rigid and free connections. We tried to go through our reseller to have their consultant help, but unfortunately that guy had some recent medical trouble and is unavailable. Any help or advice would be great
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to measure radial forces, axial force and moments acting on beam.I' ve been trying to achieve it by compouted measure but than quickly realized that moments which also acting on the same beam completely ruins the result of a calculations. Example:How can I measure radial forces and moments acting on a beam so at the end i can draw two vectors of forces and moments?Example model is in description. Idea of example model is following: model has known forces and moments acting on the middle of the beam(they are given by load case). Measures has to measure the same values given by loadcase. 1N in X, 1N in Y, 1N in Z, -1Nm in X, -1Nm in Y and -1Nm in Z
While working in Creo, I see that the “view change” window opens every time in the assembly parts we open in the Windchill system, which I share as a screenshot below. Although I have corrected the errors in the system, this screen appears every time I open the assembly file in Creo. Actually, I found the solution to the problem, but I want to know what the root cause of the error is. In which error situation this screen appears. Can anyone write if they have information about this subject?
Hello, is it possible to create a flat harness with wires that are not in direct contact? As in picture 1, it is composed of separate wire. the problem is when I decide a start point, I can not go and look for another point on a non-attached wire.I would like to know if it is possible to do everything in one flat harness or if it is necessary to separate each wire that does not touch into different harnesses?
Hi all, I'm in quite a pickle here. I have a multibody part, but the performance is getting horrible (file size is nearly 1gb), so I need to split it up into a new part file for each individual body, and remove unused bodies I have done this part, but now I am left with a single part, but it of course still has all of the features from before the 'Remove Body' feature. I am looking for an expert's take on what the best course of action is. Do I manually go through and delete each feature that doesn't contribute to the end-body needed? I have thousands of features, and about 10 individual bodies that I care about. As such, individually selecting the unused features that I want to delete will be very time consuming. I am wondering if anyone has a better way to do this, or has been in a similar situation. I would appreciate any advice! Thank you,Jeff Houston
Hi everyone,I'm trying to customize our drawings. We need to display the Wtpart version in the drawing format or template. Are there any methods to do this? How can I use this information in the drawing? Thanks!
In Creo 10 Is it possible to move the location of the Section to the Top of the ModelTree or even attached this to the Insert Here line. Is there a setting controlling this location.
Hello there, I'm currently dimensioning an epicyclic gear reduction system and I was wondering if it was possible to use the CREO 9 (the version used in my school) parametric functions to dimension this system directly in the assembly. For example, for a given number of teeth on the sun gear, an input torque and an output torque, it might be possible to calculate the planet gear teeth as well as those of the ring gear, and thus directly modify their dimensions. (including the center distance between the gears, the pitch, tip and root diameters, etc.) I've already done a few tests but they didn't lead to anything except errors. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Requirement is to update CAD template of a Project.Initially, these CAD template is created using a source CAD file (drawing) which includes a format file.We have new format file and drawing file. Able to update them from A.1 to A.2?But how will the CAD template created in Project using A.1 version be updated? We don't have an option to choose source CAD file when checked-out? Any help would be appreciated.
Creo: 10.0.0.0 education version Hello everyone, i am trying to create a sweep in the shape shown here:I tried using the sweep blend feature but this results in weird interpolations between the segments. I know that by just sweeping from one section to another the interpolation is linear, but i want some sort of spline as shown in the sketches. Here is the image showing the interpolation. Using the blend feature to control the sketch with trajectories doesn't work properly. I do not know why the trajectories are ignored here, but when i change the sketch to an ellipse at leas one trajectory is followed.Maybe someone can help me with this, since i am out of ideas what parameters i need to change in these features to get my desired result.
Hello, Software used: Creo 8.0.When I set up combined state view in the model I can show different dimensions and annotations in each combined state view, but when add a new view to the drawing and select the combined state view, the annotations and dimensions are not displayed in the drawing as they are in the model. When I select show model annotations for the drawing view it shows every single dimension available not just the annotations and dimension I displayed in the Model according to the combined state view. In older versions of Creo, this was possible, not sure if there is a setting that should be changed in new versions. Thanks,
Hi, I am trying to run the torque analysis on the flange assembly with stiffeners welded using weld features. Unfortunately I am getting errors like "Problems were encountered while preprocessingthe features for the highlighted surface." I could not understand the root cause of the errors. please help me diagnose the issue. Regards,Kishore
If I am not a designer, but an analyst that adds cad to my workspace and labels, takes pictures, makes leader notes for my own reports, is there a way to preserve items like notes, model colors, after i perform a model updated to check new geometry, fasteners, materials. I usually work in a separate self made assembly, so technically i could make items in this assembly that are unique and don't belong to the real cad being built but it seems like notes refer to part features.
I am making sweeps and swept blends using datum points then creating a curve through those points then sweeping along that curve. The datum points exist as one feature, Is it possible to edit the feature to insert a point at the start or halfway down the list? I'd like to add a point after point 7 in the screenshotCurrently I only seem to be able to add a point at the end of the list.I'm using creo 8.0Thanks in advance
When creating a counterbore style pin hole with IFX, the software defaults the 'thru' diameter (labelled 'counterbore diameter' in the UI) to 1/2 of the nominal pin diameter. Our manufacturing standard requires a different diameter - is there a hole chart column that can be used to drive this dimension to a specific value so that the user doesn't have to manually change it every time?We have tested with the known hole chart columns and none seem to work.We are currently running Creo Parametric 10.0.5.0.
I have a rivet I want to show in an assembly. The rivet data was 'imported'. In order to show the installed/deformed position, I added a 'deformed' feature that can be controlled by a flexible dimension. The Master Rep displays the 'imported' rivet AND the deformed geometry. I created a Simplified Rep (INSTALLED) which displays the deformed rivet without the 'imported' rivet. So far, so good! The flexible dimension will allow me to display a deformed/installed rivet for different panel thicknesses. When I add 3 flexible rivets into my assembly, I can change their dimension to fit 3 different panel thicknesses (0.75-inch, 1.00-inch, 1.50-inch). However, the display shows both the 'imported' rivet AND the deformed/installed rivet data. When I active the INSTALLED Rep, all 3 rivets default to the original dimension (1.50-inch) and do not hold their flexible inputs (0.75-inch, 1.00-inch, 1.50-inch). Why won't a flexible dimension hold when changing the assembly to a simp
I am currently using Creo Parametric 7.0. I want to switch between open windows using Ctrl + Tab like every single other software does. I searched for a while and found no options in the software or even anyone asking about it. Is there some way I can make this a keyboard shortcut or something? Is this feature just not integrated into Creo at all?
Hello. We've recently switched from Creo4 to Creo9, and in Creo9 I'm facing a challenge I never had in 4:In part and assembly design, when I hover over geometry, some of the surfaces appear to be highlighted in "broken" or xxx-patterned highlight, like below: while other are fully shaded, as if masked with transparent layer : for both, selection "repaints" them just fine with selection color. Went trough all reasonable config options I could think of, all regarding highlight, transparency, selection, with no visible changes. I'm looking for a method to achieve consistency in the highlight, preferably with all being the second option, without xxx pattern. Thanks 🙂
