Hello everyone, I have a problem with the hole notes that IFX creates for dowel pin. Notes mentioned a threaded hole as in attachment while it should be a smooth drilled hole with tolerance. Could you please advise me on how to manage this issue ? Thanks
Hi all, Is there a way to save a Creo file without the model tree history? I need to send a large assembly in Creo format to a client, but I don't want him to have access to the parametrization. I know I can save as a step or igs and then convert to creo again, but I'm wondering if there is a more direct way to do this. Thanks
Hi all, using Creo 7 here. I'm trying to set up some drawing borders formats using tables. I don't want to merge the cells. No matter what i do i cant blank a table line. I've selected the whole table - line display - blank - select line....but doesnt blank it any ideas? thanks
Hello, I have the standard version of Creo3 M050 and i can't use the copy geometry and publish geometry options (it's gray) Do I have to activate them in the config.pro? If yes how? Do i need a additional licens for this? actual licens are: 4DNavigator, AE, Assyperformance, CDT, Data_for_PDGS, Detail, Design_Animation, Ecad, feature, flexible_modeling Thank you for your help 🙂
Hello, Our company is investigating model based definition for parts and assemblies. Going through the CREO 4.0 tutorial on PTC university, we haven't seen a start part for an assembly. Is there one available?
I go to save as, and try to save as DWG and it does nothing.
I have an assembly model that I need to place coordinate systems at the CofG position for both the computed and assigned results, is there a way of doing this via parameters? Each model in the assembly has an assigned CoG position and mass. At the assembly level I can get the assigned values using MP_CG_X etc but can't figure out how to get the computed values - any ideas please? Cheers!
Hi, i'm new on CREO (3 month). new job new company. i used to work on different software to create 3D harnesses. i have an issue today regarding Harness Mfg. we just got the licence i try to flatten simple harness. it work (sometime) but when i want to use a component to route my harness sometime it will work and sometime i got the following message: Unsupported Axial Topology when i remove the component from the path it will be ok, but i use the same component somewhere else and it is working fine so i don't understand what is happening. i think the part i use to route the wire is created properly as it is working fine somewhere else if someone has an idea i will appreciate. Thanks Ced1
Hi All I am using a VPN then Microsoft's remote desktop connection. Then using my computer at work with CREO 2.0 and Windchill etc... The graphics seem very laggy and big complex surfacing is difficult with the laggy / slow screen refresh rate. And I cant use twin monitors. Is something like "team viewer" better? Has anyone got any experience on this? David Hale / UK
Hello, I have a part with different colors, then export to parasolid, step and solidwks. When Solidworks open the parasolid file all colors turn to gray, but in the step and solidwks files all colors are show. Anyone knows why this happens?
good morning how can i simulate robot systems in creo parametric for paletize? i need simulated in creo parametric 3.0 a kuka robot kr120 with a gripper to move a cement bag between two conveyour belt, but a i not know simulate it. Can someone teach me? this is a similar proyect of an other person 2e jaars eindproject - De Gripper - Avans Hogeschool - Werktuigbouwkunde / Mechatronica - YouTube
I need to add an annotation feature note to ~300 parts. I wrote a maco that will add the feature and it seems to work well. I tried setting up distributed batch to call this macro that adds the feature and then saves the file to the working directory. The process will run processing ~10 parts at a time and states it completed my 105 test objects successfully. However, when I go to the output file location there are only about 40 new parts in there. If I run the distributed batch process with only one of the objects it "missed" in the object list it will work fine on that file. How can I troubleshoot this or is there a better way to do this?
Cordialement. Denis
It seems that the most recent Windows Defender update has targeted the PTC License Daemon again. For the last year or so I had been able to get around this by using the Wildfire 5 license server install and updating the executable. This time around it is even hitting these. I know that PTC is taking no responsibility for fixing their server and will tell me that this is a Microsoft issue. This is not a Microsoft issue. It is an issue with the way PTC installs the service. Does anyone have a good solution to this issue?
Blog Post 01 - I wrote a blog post about the topic of Multibody – Intro, Model tree interaction and What’s that default body doing? I figured it made sense to provide a more thorough explanation that would attempt to answer all the questions likely to come up. Check it out and if you have any additional questions/comments, add them under the blog post itself. Thanks! Martin (view in My Videos) Back to Creo 7.0 Multibody Home: Start Here!

Attached please find a video on the exposure of Flexible Modeling tools in Sheet Metal. It focuses on selection and geometry modification tools that are available in regular part mode and had been adapted for the Sheet Metal environment to honor guidelines such as constant wall thickness and other specific rules. In particular note how Move and Remove refine the selection automatically and how other tools like substitute, offset, etc are only allowed for side surfaces. Pattern recognition and propagation are supported for operations such as move. Have fun! Looking forward to your feedback. Best regards..Martin
Our company (anonymous for now please) has a large library of standard hardware like MS, NAS, ASME fasteners, inserts, nuts and bolts as part of our hardware library. The problem comes when we receive a STP of a customer assembly as a starting point for design, their STP also contains a large number of standard hardware with the same name as our library file names. (e.g. years ago, companies stopped generating custom PNs for standard hardware and just created these items using the specification number.). As a result, multiple companies end up having the same PN/Filename for a standard hardware item like a screw or nut. This poses a problem when we want to capture the customer's data items (STP, PRT, ASSY files) in our Intralink system. It causes too many conflicts for our own custom designs which also call out these standard parts. So, we capture them in ZIP files outside the I-Link environment. You can see that adds a lot of file manipulation dur
In an effort to standardize our sheet metal parts, I have been searching for a bulletproof model structure to accurately and consistently measure the flat state for blank sizes. Our standard practice has always been develop the part model through adding features, unbend, measure, bendback, and an unbend or flat_pattern which is suppressed. (UMBF for short) We then create a family table instance for the flat state that will be used in deliverables, (a drawing for forming operations and flat pattern geometry for export to CAM software) The issue with this practice is the measurement can be incorrect if features are placed after the "UMBF", the measurement feature references fail or do not regen, or are not oriented correctly to reflect the true OAL and OAW . The flat state includes measurements, (SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_LENGTH & SMT_FLAT_PATTERN_WIDTH), but can also be incorrect if the flat state is suppressed as the FLAT_PATTERN feature is inherently for
How do you show Pipe Bend numbers that reflect the same location as what is outputted by the repeat region? I have followed the procedure in the help files and set default_pipe_bend_note to &bend_num:att_pipe_bend, but when I create my views the numbers do not show up with the bend notes. We are using Creo 4.0 and the application Creo Piping.
Did the name of the Simulate license change in Creo 7? I can't seem to pull a license. I can pull a license with every version but 7 and my psf files point to the exact same license server. I can pull other floating modules with Creo 7 just not Simulate.
Hi all, We have the full license for IFX. I have access to some catalogs (mm for example) but I can't assemble fasteners from the ANSI-ENGLISH catalog, which is what we use in production. I get the below error: I know that the ANSI fastener files are not stored in the common files/ifx/parts/IFX_fastener_data folder, but instead in the common files/ifx/parts/prolibrary folder. What setting do I change so that I can use ANSI-English catalog fasteners?
Is there any way to add parameters to multiple files at the same time or some way to automate it? Currently I am working on Creo 3.0 & Intralink.
Hello, I recently did a fresh reinstall of windows, and when I went to reinstall creo, I got an error when putting in the license. What am I doing wrong?
I am creating some new family tables of standard hardware items and 1 column is the weight of the item.Currently, I am saving the generic file, then opening each instance and running our Mass Weight update mapkey to get the proper weight reflected in the instance parameters. Is there a way to automate this so it is even faster than the 8 keystrokes it now takes. It isn't the keystrokes that takes time, it is the 300+ instances to be updated that does.Creo2 M220Windchill 10.0 M040
