Hello,   I am configuring an algorithm to collect holes from a solid model.If ProSurfacedataGet returns 2, it is determined to be a hole. In the case of the slot, there is no sense of how to deal with it. The argument we use to identify the hole is a solid model, surface.   Can anyone share a good idea to identify the hole in the case of a slot?   Thanks.   Warm Regards, SeonHo Cha

Is anyone else having issues with creo 3.0 loading their appearance files through the config. file? I am at a loss to get these to load on opening of the program. Had no issue with 2.0 now just a hassle

I am creating a new rubber material. I add the "rubber-black" appearance and save it to the material library, however, whenever i model a new part and apply this material, the model turns white even though in the properties the default appearance is rubber-black. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

After upgrading to Windows 10, our Creo / NCSimul workstations sometimes crash, when the users sign on the machine again, after they locked it. There is also an error message appearing (see attachement, Translation: "Attention - Connection to server not available! The Server is not available. Would you like to change into offline work mode?").   It seems, that the computers lose the connection to the Windchill server, while it is locked. After the reconnect (when the user signs on again), Creo somtimes crashes - the message can't get confirmed. Sometimes you can confirm the message with "no" and you can work on...   With Windows 7, there were no problems. Hello, I have an assembly with a number of flip platforms. I have created them with pin connections and am using mechanism analyses to drive the assy into different configurations using servo motors on the pins. This works well as long as I am careful with the constraints so I don't lock up one or more of the connections. These flip platforms also have guard rails and ladders that need to be installed or stored depending on the configuration. My current method is: Run the mechanism analysis for the desired configuration. Edit definition on all of the different guard rails and ladders and enable and disable the appropriate constraints. Update the snapshot of the individual configuration. My model has grown more complex and step 2 is becoming quite tedious. I loathe family table assemblies and they are forbidden here as well, so I will not/ cannot use them. Is there something I can use in Mechanism, to switch between them?  I have tried using Rigid connections and was then hoping

Hi,   I'd like to create a snapshot-animation of an assembly.   I click on "animation->new snapshot animation". Then I click on "body definition" to define the group of parts that have to move together. I want to select multiple subassemblies that have to move together. Hello, What is the difference between Creoagent and Qualityagent ?

It seems that I cannot get around the requirement to "have the Microsoft Universal C Runtime in Windows installed on the ... network computer where [I] want to install Creo software."  As quoted from page 13 of the "Preparing to Install Your PTC Software" document.  Unfortunately that is a significant change for me from Creo 2 & Creo 3.   With Creo 2 & 3, I was able to take a local installation, copy it to a (server) shared network location, and simply modify the PSF file(s) to make Creo 2 & 3 available to a large number of people.   With the introduction of the CREO_AGENT_LDP_LIST and the genlwsc.exe process with Creo 4, I can't get Creo 4 creoagent.exe to properly initialize (since genlwsc.exe won't start).  I believe this must be due to the prerequisite to have Universal C Runtime installed on the "network computer where [I] want to install Creo software."  Now I need either server admin privileges to install the C Runtime on the s

I have an assembly I'm trying to analyze that has several formed plates welded together. I had done this analysis several months ago and got realistic results, but I had to rerun the analysis this week due to a change in the profile of one of the plates and now the results don't make any sense.   If you take a look at the first picture you can see that the weld is showing high stress along one edge while it is showing a fairly even stress in the second (original) picture. This is the exact same analysis with the exact same loading conditions. The only difference is that I changed the profile of one plate slightly and updated the mesh.   After having this issue I tried recreating the welds but I'm still getting the same results. Does anyone have a clue why this would be happening or what I can do to try and resolve it? UpdatedOriginal

Hi, When we import some STEP data from suppliers, we often get floating 3D annotations showing on the assemblies. However, they do not show on the model tree as an annotation, they do not show in the annotations when the annotations tab is selected in the ribbon and we cannot select them in the graphics window.    How do we hide / remove them?

We recently deployed Creo 6.0.2.0 to our organization, and we have had a few users that have complained about a stall when the family table opens on the first part or assembly to be used in that Creo session.  Basically, the users will click on the Tools, Family Table to open it, and it stalls for 10-15 seconds before allowing functionality to start as normal.  This happens ONLY on the first time opening a family table in a Creo session, and all subsequent family table openings are fine.  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or noticed it.  Our users find it very annoying.

Hi! The scroll button on my mouse is quite hard and after a few hours of work my middle finger hurts a lot. I wish to move the rotate function from the scroll button to the 4th button on my mouse ( it is a gaming mouse with the 4th button under my thumb). Any idea on how to change it? thx

Hello,I try to auto associate the ECAD Schematic & Board in Ecad Neutral WGM.We use the non separable generic ECAD Design.From the generated files ECAD generic, ECAD Schematic and ECAD Board, we use the Schematic as Board Files for structure purposes.The ECAD schematic should have a owner Link to a WTPart. This WTPart has also the BOMThe ECAD board should habe a owner link to a WTPart.After the first advanced Check-in we want to auto generate the Parts for Schematic and Board.How can i do that?If I try to auto associate the two files then i get a error message.I think I need to change a Preference but i can't find it. Hello,  I have o problem with creating a part. I have 3 sketches of 3 views and I want the common part of these sketches to become an object:   I'm trying to cut one block using the sketches but I find it impossible.     Can anyone help me?  

Okay, this is driving me crazy.I have a part, and I've made datum planes on various surfaces of the part so that they show up in the drawing. I do NOT want them to show up in the model. I have added them to a layer and hidden the layer but the planes still wont disappear in the model. If I hide the planes directly in the model tree by using right click, the datums disappear in the drawing.Please help me fix this problem! I've had mutliple people look at it and I'm about to give up and "fake" datums in the drawing instead of having them in the model. Like I said - they are in a layer that has been hidden but they wont go away!I appreciate the help!

The issue I am having is the size that is being reported from plates created using the Advanced Framework Extension (AFX) are rounded up to the nearest .100"  For example a .750" thick plate is being reported via the code BUW_SIZE as .8" on my Bill of Materials.  If I create the part and then go to the parameters window I can clearly see the thickness is .750" but the BUW_SIZE is .8".  The parameter is locked and cannot be edited.   Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated.  My main goal is to get the Size, quantity and length of structural steel parts all on the BOM using generated code from the model.  I do not want to manually type any info on the BOM to avoid mistakes.  All necessary info should be contained within the solid model and be reflected on the BOM in drawing mode.   I'm trying to do this to comply with AISC standards and if anyone has tips I would love to hear them and would surely pursue them.   https://youtu.be/pmp0oHDI5F

Today I'm not able to launch creo5.0 because appears the message "-15 cannot connect to license serve" Yesterday everything was working good. The license expires on January   Does someone can help me?

During the move of features in model tree with the mouse, Creo Parametric did not stop it if the move position is before its parents, it move also parents features from some groups which were created and  mix all features in my model tree. The undo is not available in that case. Is it possible to have an option to block moving of features in mode tree when you reach parents? Thank you Regards
