Hi all, Unable to create balloons from repeat region bom table. I'm getting return error (Drawing not displayed) for last line api "ProBomballoonAllCreate". but drawing is already displayed. Also Only one dwg table present inside drawing. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS276430 . Already tried with this solution, but still no luck \\status = ProDrawingFromTmpltCreate(model_name, drawing, &model, PRODWGCREATE_DISPLAY_DRAWING, &newdrawing, &errors);int drw_windowID;status = ProMdlWindowGet(newdrawing, &drw_windowID);ProWindowActivate(drw_windowID);ProWindowRepaint(drw_windowID);ProDwgtable *tables = NULL;status = ProDrawingTablesCollect(newdrawing, &tables); int regionId ;status = ProDwgtableCellRegionGet(newdrawing, &tables[0], 0, 1, &regionId);status = ProBomballoonAllCreate(newdrawing, &tables[0], regionId); \\ Thanks.
I can't find how to set the colour of tangent edges in the drawing. Say I have a a simple extrude with fillets (rounds) on the corners: The tangent edges (from the Round feature) appear to be green in the drawing: The tangent edges are dimmed. If i set them to be Solid instead of dimmed, then the tangent edges become black: When I print the drawing (save as PDF) it gomes through with black lines (not green). But I think i have some config.pro setting to ignore pen tables, but i can't remember exactly what exactly it can be. Anyway, it seems to be only a visual thing at the moment, but it is still doesn't look right. I looked through Creo settings, drawing settings, pen table and I seem to be unable to find anything that changes this colour. Can somebody guide me into the right direction?
I find that the default cut list generated in a drawing on the Framework tab is very unsatisfactory; it creates a new line for each item even when many are identical, it displays the length in the same column as the part name which is not very readable, it does not display angles for mitered ends.Is there a way to customize the standard cut list or generate a satisfactory cut list in a table? I would like to display a table that does the following:1) Collapse identical members and display the quantity of each2) provide cut lengths in a separate column in fractional measurements3) provide columns with the miter angles if necessary 4) Ideally I would not display the part names at all, only the type of structural section in use. (e.g. 2x2x1/4 Tube Sq) I have not been able to locate the source of the default cut list table to see if it can be modified, and I have tried to use a repeat region table but I haven't found the syntax to use to find this information. Thanks very mu
Can someone please tell me what this glyph/icon means when next to an assembly, in the model tree?(see temp.png)PTC website offers no help. Thank you.😐
when i run model check all the datums (planes, points, axis, curves) all become greyed out in the model tree and layers. i do not want this i want to see them at all times. i have been told that this is a default setting in Creo from PTC. is there a setting i can change for this?
I want to create a layer for hole notes at the assembly level. This is because many parts do not have a layer for hole notes. An additional problem I have is that we use Windchill and therefore some parts are on release. Does anyone have an idea to solve this?
Dear all, We are currently working on large assembly drawings. We are encountering some troubles regarding the launch/reaction speed between the different step of the drawing (view, annotation, ...) during the creation. We see that the multi-threading is usable from the version 5.0 so can we have some advices to improve our process? Many thanks in advance
Using CREO 10 .0.4.0 When we save a drawing that has several sheets it always goes to the last sheet. This seems counterintuitive to us and my users would very much prefer to have the first sheet or the current sheet displayed once the save has happened. I looked for a config option but could only find "Default open drawing sheet" which controls whether the 1st sheet or the last open sheet is displayed on opening a drawing. Is this just CREO 10 behaviour or is there a way to set CREO so that it doesn't default to the last sheet on saving a multi sheet drawing?
I installed the student version following the instructions but once started it gives me this error and I can't use it. how can I do it? Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate. ho istallato creo versione studente seguendo le istruzioni ma una volta avviato mi da questo errore e non riesco ad usarlo. come posso fare?
I am looking for a post processor that I can use to output cam files for a Mazak VCN510C-11 VMC machine. Does anyone have one or if not can you point me in the right direction to find one? Thank you
I need to access the Creo API, but the toolbox has proven extremely hard to set up. The directions said that in Visual Studio, it would build without errors, but there were indeed errors. From the error messages, it seems that it does not run on Visual Studio 2022 and requires Visual Studio 2015, which I'm having many other issues installing on account of it being incredibly antiquated. I am rather new to coding but need this for a project for my university. Please help if you can!
To all Pro/E WF4.0 and Creo5 gurus,Is there a way to use variables inside the paths in a config.pro file?Example: system_colors_file c:\pro\Garland\%USERNAME%\sf\syscol.sclThis does not work. Saved the syscol.scl from inside Pro/E to have old school background. Restarted Pro/E, no beuno.Weird thing is though, the one for trail file location works:trail_dir c:\pro\Garland\%USERNAME%\sfgo figureIf anyone has any insight on this I would appreciate it. I just want the users to be able to store things like system colors in default user location that is specific to only them. Thanks! This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am using Creo Parametric 7.0. Background:I am producing a mdl/dwg for manufacturing which uses the final machining mdl as a merged part. I am doing this to create a mdl/dwg template for automation which will be driven by the final machining mdl. Majority of the dimensions from the final machining mdl are needed for the manufacturing dwg. Question:Outside of manually recreating these dimensions in the manufacturing mdl, does anyone know if there is a way to display the dimensions from the merged final machining mdl in the manufacturing dwg? Thank you!
i already did a topic about this, but im still have the same problems the path only works on the first try after i change it. But on the 2nd inicialization doesnt work anymore, i dont know what to do anymore.maybe its something in my config search_path_file $CREO_COMMON_FILES\ifx\parts\prolibrary\search.protemplate_new_ecadasm $PRO_DIRECTORY\templates\inlbs_ecad_asm.asmtemplate_boardpart $PRO_DIRECTORY\templates\inlbs_ecad_board.prtsearch_path_file $CREO_COMMON_FILES\afx\parts\prolibrary\search.prodrawing_setup_file C:\Users\Nicolas Santos\PTC CREO\Geral Caterpillar\(Loc)Start_files\Active Drawing_REV.dtlformat_setup_file C:\Users\Nicolas Santos\PTC CREO\Geral Caterpillar\Folhas\mfgtb-c.frmmdl_tree_cfg_file C:\Users\Nicolas Santos\PTC CREO\Geral Caterpillar\(Loc)Start_files\tree.cfgpro_font_dir C:\Users\Nicolas Santos\PTC CREO\Geral Caterpillar\(Loc)Start_filespro_material_dir C:\Users\Nicolas Santos\PTC CREO\Geral Caterpillar\Biblioteca_elementos\Materialspro_plot_config_dir

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0, there is some unexpected exception happended with following code,I.m sure that the .prt I got from session is valid.My finally purpose is creating a new pfcTransform3D and setting the matirx data, then call this api to change view in window.//Get Current Mdl From Sessionvar session = pfcGetProESession();var part = session.CurrentModel;if (part.Type == pfcCreate ("pfcModelType").MDL_PART) { var pfcTransform3D = part.GetCurrentViewTransform(); //below code cause an exception (pfcXToolkitBadInputs) part.SetCurrentViewTransform(pfcTransform3D);}
Hello, I would like to to override a few items in a BOM table and keep all the items programed. I have the following code entered but its not working, I would like "XX" to be renamed to the actual part name "HEX BOLT" Are there any specific settings I need to review?Does the type need to be defined, if so where do I do that? The view contains an assembly with a simplified rep. I'm using Creo 7.0
Modelcheck can currently check for component states including: suppressed, flexible, failed, missing, etc., but it does not seem to be able to check for hidden (that is, not displayed) components. Please refer to the attached picture.
Hi! For a few days ago i have upgraded my Creo Parametric 3.0 up to 4.0. When i try to open it, it says that quality agent could not run and all crashes. I have win 10 and M020 version of Creo if it has something to do with the issue.
We are using Creo 8.0 and want to add a header row to our BOM table which includes the part number - in our case this is the parameter MATERIAL. An example is attached. I have no problem with the BOM/repeat region part of this. I can easily add the part number to the header by changing the text in the header cell to: ... &MATERIAL. The problem comes when I want to save that table and have others use it on their drawings. As soon as I enter: &MATERIAL, Creo adds the session ID &MATERIAL:#. If I then save the table and put it in another drawing where the session ids are different it comes in as material:#. If I make the table in a part, it saves the table input as &MATERIAL without the session ID but then I can't have the BOM repeat region I need. I have tried it both with and without additional text in the header: BILL OF MATERIALS FOR: &MATERIAL versus just &MATERIAL. PTC says this works to spec and the
Hello,I want to automate the drilling process using XML – I am using UDFs to create holes and I want to add XML for drilling and threading. When I do this, I have, for example, 10 holes and 10 annotations with XML. In Process Manager, I call them, and even when I check AutoMerge, it inserts 10 drilling and threading operations instead of one merged drilling operation and one merged threading operation that would include all 10 holes in two operations instead of 20. I found this video (17:30) where it works, and I am not sure where I am making a mistake.https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Tips/Mfg-Automation-Tips-Techniques-Session-Recording-West-Coast/ta-p/820680

Hi All, I'm quite new to customisation using web.link. I have a customisation that is very close to doing what I need, except that I cannot work out how to trigger a certain option. I have already worked out, from the documentation that the pfcModel.ExportIntf3D() instruction will use the default export profile for the export settings, which is OK. I can control this easily with our setup. However, when exporting manually there is the option "Customize Export", a check box in the "Save a Copy" dialogue box. If I use this, I can export my assembly with the origin point set to a coordinate system of my choosing. How can I either invoke this dialogue or set the origin of the export to an existing named coordinate system (e.g. "export_csys") in the assembly? Is this possible?
Hello all, I am having issues with incomplete boundaries formed when I apply seperate mesh parameters to two parts. This mesh size difference is required due to the size of the part and fluid transfer taking place in the pipes (it's a cold plate). This incomplete boundary means that there is almost no thermal transfer between the two parts as the meshes don't actually touch the majority of the time. Both parts are meshed with different parameters in both relative and absolute terms but with zero minimum cell size, and done via 'update', so my belief was that they should follow a common boundary. Is there a technique I should use to ensure consistent boundaries with the seperate mesh parameters? Below are a couple of images. The X-section shows a clear disconnect between the two meshes, and the coloured plot shows the blue general boundary that has suceeded between the two parts. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have spent many hours trying to solve th
