Hello,In Creo direct Annotation, how can we add Hatching to Glass ? For example Steel, wood, Copper, Etc material has is Hatching pattern. In Creo Direct Annotation, can we add Glass Hatching pattern? THANK YOU,
I believe that "artists from PTC" should see how great Solidworks have ability to organize balloons - its tragedy right know in Creo
Have ability to have favorites to add text after dimensions and ability to store typical text NOTES without constantly typing them
Instead calculating distance and divided by 2 mark 4 surfaces and part will be placed in center between opening surface Solidworks have this last 15 years and its great feature
Solidworks have it since I remembermulti window view option
Ability to place dimension along vertical direction
keep balloons when changing format of drawing
have ability to choose - round, squared, rectangular or other shapes after this PATHETIC SPILINE is finalize to shape suggested in description with leader to or not ( choice) detail right know it looks like DOS FROM 1995
Hello, Please refer the drawing of 2 plates with several holes. I would like to create lets say smaller plate first and when I need to create bigger plate I would like to reuse smaller plate and by changing only few parameters new model should be ready. I have seen functionality in SWX which is called driveworks. How to achieve this with Creo modeling? Thanks in advance.
one of most aggravated functions for me What is your intention to revise a part - change - correct ? so why when you change revision level Windchill does not ask - "do you want to check out' ? of course not - because you have to get back - mark it again and then check out don't you think it would save many clicks and time?
why form tools need to be matted and holes have drag and drop handles ?are we talking about same company ?
We recently had a request for information on how to measure the distance or offset between planar faces in Modeling (though these tips really apply for measuring the distance between any two points). Here is a simple video (about 4 1/2 minutes) that shows a few different options, including one tip showing how to get the X, Y, and Z components AND the overall length between the points using a single operation! https://youtu.be/_4dmHQe5mlk I hope this is useful for some of you! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! andy
I'm not sure what I'm missing. It looks like I've done everything, the feature is displaying, and I'm not seeing any errors/warnings, but ok is greyed out. It's a shelled hemisphere on top of a cylinder, and the whole is going onto the hemisphere. I've projected a sketch onto the hemisphere for placement of the hole, with the idea that there are multiple holes that will each get patterned around the hemisphere (each would be a distinct pattern, with the attention of creating a distinct hole feature for each pattern. Any help would be appreciated.
The ideas section is not active, so I will pour out my pain here. While this is great software, there are some things I'm sure can be improved, but no one has improved them in decades as far as I can see. Like the good old BOM!How good would be for the designers to be able to create a BOM directly in a 3D modeling application and then just to call it in Annotation application or just to print it in a file. Also directly to set some properties for the parts or subassemblies in such a 3D modeling BOM like the following: ITEM, PART NUMBER, REVISION NUMBER, DESCRIPTION, COMMENTS, STOCK NUMBER, MATERIAL, QUANTITY, MASS (automatic, depending on material) and other properties - like in all contemporary programs!I started reading the help on how to configure BOM and I think I have to finish my second higher education to be able to do something! Then I saw that various people had difficulty with this back in 2007 and still have. Why? ! I hope this will be improved, but my hope is very weak.&
Hello , I have a file wihout extension, but according to my researches it is ME10 file with (.mi) extension. Firstly I tried to open it by changing name and extension. As a result I wrote (.mi) and opened it on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". So it is succesfull method to open 2d ME10 file. Also I have an another file that it is without extension too. But this file is not working with (.mi) extension on "Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 8.0". The reason of this problem that probably this file was created by ME30. It is 3d model. I tried a lot of extension to open it on the program but failed. I cannot drop this file here because of company's policies. Years ago, files as these files without extension created on HP-UX OS. By years by as technology changes, ME30 became Creo Elements/Direct Modelling. I made a deep research in internet and found this kind of knowledges. Can anybody help me to open this "ME30 file" ? Thanks for reading my
Dear All,Some news about Kotom-Eng: new macro for drawing a table from a csv file and vice versa.Have a look at http://kotom.eng.free.fr/drafting%20tools.php
can anyone help me in adding a table, in creo direct drafting? In creo direct modeling, we can add a table when the BOM is active. can we add a table without a BOM?

Wondering if anyone else has seen a similar issue to this and knows the cause. An engineer shared a complex model with me today and said that when he saved out a STEP file, the STEP was empty. I was able to reproduce the same behavior on my machine. Not only for STEP files, but also for IGES and parasolid as well. For all of these, the "save as" runs instantly, and creates an file with no geometry in it. I did find a workaround. We're using Creo 7.0.2.0, so I was able to save the single body in the model to a new part file. In that part file, I was able to save out a STEP file. Of note, the STEP file did have an error in the geometry, but at least it saved something out. Any ideas as to why the original file couldn't be saved out, but a new part with essentially a copy geometry of the original part's body was able to?
I am having issues with Creo crashing when trying to add views to a drawing for sheet metal parts. I am able to initially add both a flat state and generic drawing view. However at some point after adding both view types, and trying to add another view to detail, I get a warning message (Error(s) in XXXXX\prodetail.dtl. See datafile.ers) and Creo will crash if I try to place the view. Does anyone know where the datafile.ers is saved, or how to find the setting in the config file causing the issue? I have searched my "start in" location, program files, and everywhere else I could think of.
This is more of a suggestion than a question! PTC Crew.... My idea is to have a delete button at the edit bar of any feature. This idea came to mind because many in times whenever I'm editing a feature and I realize that it is no longer needed I am forced to click at least 4 times to actually delete it. And with the Delete button it would require just 2 clicks.
Hi Everyone, I just installed CREO Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0 and I'm running it on Windows 10 Home Version 21H1. My laptop has the following specs: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz RAM: 16GB Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX2070 When I launch the program it stalls out and never loads. I have launch the program in verbose mode. The launch process stalls at initializing base_start. Anybody have this problem and have found a work around?
Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to configure the Direct Manager Webserver to use https? We already know how to configure the ModelManager webservices to do that. But we also use the old Direct Manager webserver for 2D drawings and conversion of them to other formats (PDF, DXF) for the purchasing process. Regards, Thomas
Hi, I received a file with .pkg format and I've tried using Creo Pro 5.0, Creo view express, and Creo Elements Direct Modeling express but all of those can't open the file. Can you please help me to convert it into .dwg? I'll send the file through the message. Thank you in advance!
it should be possible to show different color for identify left-hand/right-hand thread. Otherwise, the manufacturing process could be wrong.
