Guru'sWe want to name the default datums starting with the model name (i.e."modelname"_top, "modelname"_cycs_def).Is there a way to use the system parameter, "&model_name" to do this? Thanks
I have a face in my model which needs moving a small amount in an offset fashion. The only thing is, that face has a logo on it which isn't simple to re-apply. I'd like to offset the face and preserve the logo. The would take all of 5 seconds in AutoCAD or SpaceClaim, but I'm not entirely sure of a simple solution to do this in Pro/E. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
I'm running Creo 1.0-m020.After exiting, I tried deleting the trail file, it will not delete because:[cid:image001.jpg@01CCDB3F.7C626EB0]Looking in the task manager I see this process still runningCreoagent.exe *32Killing the process tree allows me to delete the trail file.Running Windows 7 64bitAnyone else see this behavior?David HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550
HelloHas anyone used the Expert Model Analysis and Best Practices Academy services from PTC?Were they helpful?ThanksJoe
how do i create a tetrahedron or any other polyhedral model
Does anyone know the unit of measure pro pipe uses for the weight/length spot in the line stock file. I would like to not use the weight/length spot in the line stock file as we drive weight through a materials file that is not used with pro pipe. Does anyone have suggestions?
Is it possible to create acylindrical coordinate system in WF4? I only see how I can create a cartesean coordinate system using an OFFSET definedin cyclindrical terms(r, theata, z) but NOT how to create a cylindrical coordinate system.Searches of theHelp CD and these forumsdid not help. Inthe forums I found severalduplicates of this question (all being answered incorrectly with "set the offesttype box to cylindrical"), but no answers that actually produce a cylindrical coordinate system. The reason Iwant a cylindrical coordinate system is that I have an analysis I am trying tocomplete withPro/Mechanica and in it, there isa radial load that I would like to apply. I am assuming that if I apply a load with itreferenced to a cylindrical coordinate system it will allow me to define an appropriate direction vector to produce the desired radial loading. I will also be posting this up the CAE forum...thanks...
Last week I notice a problem when trying to download software from PTC using Chrome. Seeing the same thing today.[cid:image001.jpg@01CCD9E1.DF836120]I'm having to resort to using I.E. to download. Which is considerably slower.I opened a call with PTC but haven't heard anything from them about the issue.Anyone else having this issue with Chrome? I'm running 10.0.912.75 mDavid HaighPhone: 925-424-3931Fax: 925-423-7496Lawrence Livermore National Lab7000 East Ave, L-362Livermore, CA 94550

Hi folks,Today I launched the blog CAMZone.org, a personal project where I'll attempt to promote discussions about CAD/CAM with a strong emphasis in the CAM side of the acronym. CAMZone.org does not have any tie with advertising and the goal there is to learn and share unbiased opinions, thoughts and experiences about CAM and the CAD/CAM industry. That being said, I'd like to invite you to check it out. Hope to get your comments there!Check it out: http://camzone.org/Thank you!Daniel Santos
ProE / Creo users, Just a quick poll on employee status, if you are a CAD Administrator areyou an exempt or non-exempt employee?, I have looked into this in somedetail regarding the exemption laws - professional, administrative, creative professional and computer employee exemption. I just wanted tosee if someone has dealt with this before.
Hi Everybody,If I import an aluminum extrusion into ProE/Creo, what is the best way to cut it to exact length using Creo? For example, http://www13.boschrexroth-us.com/partstream/Search.aspxThanks A Great Deal!!
I imported a point cloud in .DXF and so far the only way I know how to make a spline is to click on each point individually. Does anyone know if there's a better method of doing this? I appreciate your thoughts.
Does anyone have data on the drill point angle for a broached hex pilot drill? I downloadad the ANSI spec for set screws and it tells me everything except for the drill point angle. I am using set screws for control orifaces. I need to hold a length of the oriface hole length. This hole length is from the flat face of the set screw to the bottom of the drill point for the broached hex drill point..TIA

Team, in the past weeks several emails to - userID generated some interesting feedback about Creo NC applications. In order to get a structured feedback I would like to ask you to fill upthe Creo NC 2012 survey, but clicking on the link below:
Hello Creo Users!I was curious if anyone had designed fasteners like nuts and bolts or even stuff like spacers and washers. If you're willing to share I'd [and I'm sure other members as well] be very interested in seeing your designs. The more unusual the better.Feel free to embed/attach them in your reply here or upload them into a photo album.Looking forward to seeing some creative uses.-Dan
