Hi,   ProSelect dialog goes back , can not be top. User can not check ProSelect processing is stopped. (if ProSelect dialog was hidden status.)   so we try to make ProSelect dialog position in top. 1. using timer callback function. 2. using ProSelectionPostSelact Funtion.   method 1 is worried about performance about timer func and creo work. method 2 is not work if select item is not matching filter.   if you guys have good idea, please help us. thank you.

Are people using Object Toolkit (C++)? We have several Creo custom utilities written with Toolkit (C), but I was curious if other developers have switched to using Object Toolkit (C++) when possible.   Here's my current understanding of the 2 APIs: Toolkit (C) Pros: The API wizard HTML is great (<creo_loadpoint>\Common Files\protoolkit\protkdoc\index.html) Ability to search for API commands and to click on hyperlinks for more information. Easy to find example code on many of the older APIs (sadly many of the newer Toolkit (C) APIs don’t have example code). I believe Toolkit (C) has more API commands than Object Toolkit (C++). Can still use C++ code with the Toolkit (C) code. Toolkit (C) Cons: Strings are overcomplicated. (char vs wchar_t, ProLine, ProName, ProMdlName, etc.). If PTC changes the length of a string (ex: ProName (32) to ProMdlName (180)) then you may have to make updates your code. Memory management – need to allocate and free memory. Can lead to a

I'm reading the following article (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS420647):  Trying to unbend sheetmetal through Creo's C++ TOOLKIT provided example (without user interaction) results in memory access exceptions no matter what I do. Looking for alternative solutions, I've found the article above. At the end, it says I could use the following functionsProCmdSmtFlatPat()ProCmdSmtUnbend()Using Creo's interactive mode, but I can't find any reference forthis mode neither for the functions listed.Where can I find these two functions?

Hi All!  My creo is creo Parametric 10.0.3.  How does the wfcAssemblyExpressionRule works ? Can not find any details. Situation goes like: There is a part with given parameter like YEAR with value 2012. Part is child of "activeAssembly" After calling ListComponentsByAssemblyRule with expression  "YEAR==2012" I got something in message window like : WARNING: Symbol '�䋐ȃ' not found in model XXXXXXXX. Retrieving submodels. where '�䋐ȃ' is totally random and varies form run to another.  LogTrace  shows that everything is ok with expression string and model. Hi,I am using an Async Java App with my Creo 8. The app adds a few commands and buttons on the Global Menu in Ribbon. Whenever I am using the app, the annotation shows sluggish behavior, like, if I type a sentence in the Note, each alphabet takes around 1 sec to be typed. This only happens when my async java app is running, if I disable that app, the sluggish behavior goes away. Any help?Thanks.

Has anyone utilized Selenium to automate the Windchill interface within the Creo Parametric embedded browser? I recently started experimenting with this concept and it seems promising. FYI: I'm using Python, Selenium, and the Chrome web driver.

Hi,   I have used  "ProAnnotationplaneForcetoplaneflagSet()" and "ProDimensionPlaneSet()" to move an annotation to selected plane. But annotation "View Direction" and "Angle" are not the same, the resultant is rotated. I found the drawing setting for the default font size for new views however, I can't find any options to change the font style for only view names. Our views are like shown below where the view name is larger and bold and was hoping to find a setting to have this be automatic.  Section A-A We're using CREO 7 currently

When I run the weblink example, pfcSelectionExamples.html, it works mostly fine, but the model name always comes up as undefined.  Not matter what I do with my own code that I've made, I can't seem to get it working either.Does anyone else have this issue?  Is it because my files are from windchill, and not stored locally?I know this is the third weblink post I've made lately, but information on the topic is sparse to say the least, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!This is creo 9.0.3.0

I have specified a local folder as the working directory in Creo.then want to use Weblink to retrieve models. I am trying to get the color of surface after selecting it with a selection pointer as described in the toolkit user guide. It appears that the information resides wfcAppearance which is extracted from wfcWSelection. pfcSelection_ptr selSurface = pfcCreateModelItemSelection(pfcModelItem::cast(surfaces->get(0)));wfcWSelection_ptr wselSurface = wfcWSelection::cast(selSurface);if (wselSurface->GetVisibleAppearance().isnull())     cout << "Error: wfcAppearance nullptr" << endl; but GetVisibleAppearance() is returning a nullptr. However, when I select a surface using user selection process by directly clicking on it after invoking session->select(), I am able to get wfcAppearance where i can access surface properties including its color. Can anyone please help why is GetVisibleAppearance() returning nullptr from pfcSelection_ptr when selecting a surface programmatically using pfcCreateModelItemSelection() instead of clicking on it
