I'm trying to have the feature of multiple selection in Thingworx 8.4 in standard grid from touch devices, does anyone know how to perform this ?  from desktop pressing ctrl + mouse click i am able to select more than 1 row , but from tablet only 1 per row, can you please help me ? Thanks !

Hi, I think that the time has come to try some of that Analytics stuff.  Few years back the situation was quite unclear. Can someone explain what is the difference between Thingworx Analytics server and Platform Analytics server.  Or somebody willing to point me into the right direction in regards to How to start with Analytics?  Some slides would be nice to get my head around this area.  Thanks

Hi All,   I want to update the limits of an alert by triggering a service. How can I achieve that? From Thingworx Support, I got the following code which I have pasted below. I tried running that but it doesnot work. For example: I have a property "Suction" with basetype as "INTEGER". I have already created an alert for that named "AboveLimit" which will be fired when Suction is above limit 5. Now I want to change the limit through a service. Hi - I am attempting to setup the Delivery Truck example fro Java SDK guide. I am still very new to Thingworx and Java development. I have imported the example into both Thingworx and Eclipse IDE.   The DeliveryTruck Client connects and I can see the java application running. So for example 'DeliveryTruck_1 Is Making A Delivery'. However according to the guide, when the truck stops it should update the properties of each Truck 'Thing' in Composer.   However, this never happens. Is there anything else I need to create in order to get this example working?

Hi, We have had a major problems with upgrading ThingWorx version from version 7.3.8 to version of 8.4.3. We tried the whole procedure on our TEST environment and had some problems.  What we have done: Setting "run as user" for all Timers and Shedulers Performing all update scripts one by one (as per Upgrading to ThingWorx 8.4 document) All scripts went fine (no errors) Modified platformsettings.json Deploying new war While starting Tomcat an error occurred (ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "root_entity_collection_pkey") (https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Upgrade-to-Thingworx-8-0-Errors/m-p/510085) I had to perform following sqls: delete from root_entity_collection where name = 'NotificationDefinitions'; delete from root_entity_collection where name = 'NotificationContents'; delete from root_entity_collection where name = 'StyleThemes'; Note: I dont like that I have to modify underlying DB by hand, Upgrade scripts should handle this

Hi All,  I created a trend showing the OperatingMode property, butthe graph is not showing the correct values when I change the time range selection.   OperatingMode property values are the following (QueryPropertyNamedHistory service output): The graph is correct when I select the time range From 2019-07-31 07:00:00 -> To 2019-07-31 10:39:00   While the graph is not correct when I select the time range From 2019-07-30 07:00:00 -> To 2019-07-31 10:39:00 The property value is not equal to 1 in the selected time range   Any idea? I need to hide username and password when inspect using browser. I tried form login but there also it is not working. When F12 is pressed, in background it shows the username and password once we logged in. I need to hide that information due to security reasons.  

Hi All,   I've been working on getting this Azure IoT Hub Connector started for a while now, and it finally seemed like it was going to work however, when I enter the 'azure-iot.bat' command there's no output in my command prompt but the connection server appears in my ThingWorx platform.  While the command prompt is open, the cxserver file grows rapidly.  Then, if the command prompt is closed the connection server disappears from ThingWorx.   Is this normal behavior for the connector? Everything I've read says it should start to process data after entering the 'azure-iot.bat' command but I get no output in command prompt.  The images contain the different errors I am getting in my cxserver file.  

My scenario is that my kepserver is in local timezone and Thingworx instance is in UTC timezone. How can I get the difference between the timezone in Thingworx so that I can convert the date time in machine timezone itself.   With regards Yedukrishnan U

Hi,  I have a data table and one of the fields is JSON type .   I can write a JSON object into the table successfully,  but when getting the JSON object back,  the array property of the JSON object becomes {}.    The workaround is that I have to convert the array field into String and then call JSON.parse to get the JSON array back .  Is it a known issue ?     I uploaded a reproducible XML file for the problem , you can run AddJsonValue firstly , then run  GetJson to observe the log  .    ThingWorx 8.4.2 + PostgreSQL 10   Regards, Sean  

Hi all,   I need to format current date time on ThingWorx expression widget, but javascript functions do not work without libraries (i.e. dateFormat(newDate(), "dd-MM-YYYY HH:mm")). How can I format datetime with native functions?   Thanks, Elisabetta      

i am in a situation where i use 40 to 50 fields (textbox,label) in a single mashup, currently for showing values in that fields i use the same 40 to 50 service, each for fields.This huge amount of services results in a slow page with massive lags. So am searching for a way -     there we can programmatically access all the fields(40 to 50 counts) in a single javascript service and manipulate it there itself, setting or getting text values of the fields like we do in native javascript(eg: that_specific_label.gettext())

I want to load students data into a mashup which will be given by user. My vision is , on click of "Add student" button in main page, a window has to pop-up and ask for student name, age, department, photo (image) and so on. After giving all the values, the detail has to be shown in the same main page in addition to the "add student" button. Like this users will add as many students they need.   I'm a newbie here. Hi,In our customer release, we need to download a file from Thingworx remote Repository to the system where C-SDK edge server is running.We are trying the same with get file api in the below format, but its giving some errors and we are not able to achieve this.twFileManager_GetFile("SystemRepository", "/", "test.txt", pConfigparam->m_ThingName, "twx", "\\test.txt", 0, TRUE, &tid);1) we have tried transferring from SDK to TWX repository, that works with below format.twFileManager_GetFile(pConfigparam->m_ThingName, "twx","test.txt", "SystemRepository", "\\", "test.txt", 60, TRUE, &tid);2) When transferring from systemrepo (Thingworx) ,we get errors using the twFileManager_GetFile api.Please suggest us how we can achieve this, provide us the steps/samples to do the same.

I m trying to display the data coming from property of base type infotable on mashup vertically. Vertically in the sense all the Headers should occupy first column and the values corresponding to it should occupy subsequent columns. Tried with creating a service to transpose the data, it didn't work out.    It would be Great and Thankful if somebody helps me with an example code with which i can understand and implement it in my project as well.   Please find attachment for required format.   Thanks in advance.    

Hello. I've got an issue.   The problem boils down to one general issue: I've got an infotable with four boolean properties, and each property is assigned to a shape. Based on the value of the property, the specific shape is visible or not. I have connected the infotable properties (some are true, some false) to the shapes via Selected Rows, but all the shapes are visible, when in reality, some should be hidden.   Can anyone help with this regard? Hi Team,   Is it possible  export an appkey (or list of appkeys ) programmatically? I would like to select all the appkeys by Tag and export them, but I didn't find any information about how to do that. If possible, how can I do it ?   Thanks in advance.
