Hi, can someone please provide me some pointers/hints on how to achieve the following:    I get data about mistakes, which happen on a specific machine in the production through the composer to my thingworx studio. (sql- database) I can show theses mistakes by using a toggle button. Then a table with all mistakes of the last hour will be visible.    What I want to achieve now is:   A pop-up notification in the App on the device of the worker, which is always triggered, whenever a new mistake happens. So the worker can react immediately.   In my understanding, I need a pop-up which is triggered by an event. And this event is the datachange of the specific "mistake"-service.    But how do I do this? Is a js script? How am I then connecting it to this service as it should be triggered automatically?   Thanks all!

Hi,   Currently, I'm building a ThingWorx system and going to hand over its operation to operators.So I need to tell them which log files they have to monitor and what text patterns in log files show signs that they need to alert.   I thing it might cause unnecessary alert if we check any "ERROR" in Application Log file of ThingWorx directory because of errors which are not critical such as an execution error in service script, and only observing "ERROR"  in Tomcat catalina log  might miss system failures.   Is there a best practice on that? Or is there someone who has any suggestions?   I will appreciate your help with this situation.

We want to open up pdf file stream data (i.e. typically byte stream) in WebFrame control. Is it possible to do that in Twx? or Is there any other widget to open pdf file in Thingworx? Thanks in advance.     Regards, Imran

I have installed analytics server 8.3.2 on windows 10 home edition 8gb ram and intel i5 processor with 2 cores I see that there was an error during installation which said descriptive analytics service couldn't be created as there was already one present. bur analytics server installed fine. I don't see analytics server thing present after I start the server

It shows only shows selected one only.I thought because of auto suggest feature in combox blocking list rend.Please help me on this.

I have a situation where I have to access external data (reference data) while writing a service for a thing.   For example, if a cooler has a temperature sensor as a property and a service where the temperature value read from the sensor has to be compared to some external reference data like average_monthly_temperature, which is fed from some external database call or some API call from the service, how can this be done ?        

How to include a remoteDatabase thing to  Asset Adviosr equip list?   How to put a RemoteDatebase Thing , to be showed in the equipment lists in Asset Advisor, Production Advisor? The background is, the remote thing is an equipment with Microsoft Access Database, and we can get all necessary OEE parameters from it easily.   I have tried Kepware to connect to the access database , but it has a lot of issues on SQL query and datetime calculation logic. ------> Kepware is not OK here. so I established a RemoteDatebase thing, resp this equipment ,based on Thingworx EMS ADO services solution. And finally I can get the properties of the equipment in Composer.-----> OK to get properties with EMS solution.   However, the only issue now is,  I can't get this equipment showed in the Asset Advisor, Production Advisor, because it is based on the RemoteDatebase ThingTemplate(not PTC.ISA95.PhysicalAssetThingTemplate)...

I have created a project(Project A) , Template and a thing. Now i need to create 10 things dynamically using a service and then each service has to be configure a project (Project A). I am able to create a thing using a service CreateThings but while using this service it doesn''t provide the param named as project so that i can provide the name of the project  that i want it to be binded.

Hello,   I use the value of the "lastConnection" property to display the date of the last connection of the device to server. The problem is that when i save the Thing after a modification of a script in the ThingTemplate the value of the "lastConnection"  gets updated with the current date (I'm losing the date which the equipment  is really connected). Is it normal?   Thank you.

I have set up Thingworx with forms login, some of my users have multiple logins, as they look after other users. If they happen to already be logged into a user account and then in the same browser login again, it causes issues with the sessions data which I store in the user extensions properties.   I need as way to stop multiple logins occur on the same browser, I would be happy of there was a way to know if a user was logged in already or not, so I could then redirect the user to the home page.   I have been trying to make changes to the FormLogin.jsp page, but have had no luck so far. Is there anything I can do to see if a user already logged in from the FormLogin.jsp page? Or any other suggestions on handling this situation?

Hi, I try to style my Mashups with custom css, but I don't know where to find the syntax for the widget classes. For example: my collection widget has a custom class (customfoo). Now I can style it in the css, but how do I access for example the cells in it (or any other element)?

We have a Thingworx 8.1 server running, and I'm unable to perform any REST API calls on it. I've tried in both postman and curl at various URLs, starting from as simple as https://server.com/Thingworx/Things?appKey=[appkey] as well as on various things. No matter what, the response is a 401 with no body. The app key is valid and I've tried generating 3 or 4 different ones at this point just to make sure that they ARE valid. My user can, of course, view the things that I'm querying against (why I went for specific things instead of calling it at just /Thingworx/Things.) Anyone have pointers for what could be going wrong?

Hi, We have connected assets which is sending data to Thingworx platform from last two weeks, but from yesterday data is not reaching platform. It's showing all assets isconnected=true but none of the assets data is not reaching platform. I have checked the logs on device, its' giving me error code 1114(TW_GATEWAY_TIMEOUT), but the device is sending data. Below are the set of Application logs keep on getting on the thingworx:    - NULL MessageSynchronizationContext! I was testing a service I wrote to allow users to create users using the CloneUserWithGroups() API.  When testing, I created a couple users while logged in as the Administrator.  That part worked fine.  My issue is: ThingWorx won't allow me to delete those users!!??   ThingWorx returned a Delete Failure error message saying, "Editable System Objects Cannot Be Deleted."   I've removed those users from the groups the Administrator is in, but I'm still getting the same error message.

With the trends in IOT and the use of it moving up the hierarchy would it make sense to make KepServerEX a bit more Enterprise capable? Things like: - Able to manage and run multiple projects - so different teams or lines/areas can be connected and changes can be limited to multiple smaller projects rather than just one - Active Directory integration for configuration (and run-time if possible for UA?) security - Web client access for configuration and control - Maybe through REST-ful API in ThingWorx? so users don't need to be given access to the server to make changes or manage

We made one edge update a temperature property increased by 1 every 5 secs. If 300k ~ 400k edges update logged temperature properties(value streams) every 5 secs concurrently, the ThingWorx Platform(TWX) could only receive/queue 85% ~ 90% of properties. When the edges' connections are established stably, We observed the 'totalWritesQueued' value of Value Stream Substem every 5 secs and computed its minus, then divided this minus by the amount of edges.My question is, why the TWX couldn't handle 100% of properties when  more than 300k edges update properties concurrently?+ TWX System Resource:  - CPU E5-2650 v3 @ 2.30GHz with 10 cores * HT * 2-way  - CPU usage: less than 50%  - Total Memory: 128GB  - JVM Memory: 96GB+ TWX Subsystem Configuration:  - Default except:    > Value Stream Subsystem:      ' maximumBlockSize: 50,000      ' maximumQueueSize: 10, 000, 000    &nbsp

Hi, does anyone know if there is there a way to select a menu item via a service or some logic. In one of my mashups I use a dynamic menu widget which drives a contained mashup. There are times when I wish to refresh the whole mashup but keep the menu item last selected, rather than go back to the default menu item.   Thanks, K
