After installation of windows patch KB5028623/KB5023788, Kepware is giving intermittent error. We trying refresh by re-importing tags and kepware starts showing good values.  

Hi, I have a situation with a connection:Im using Allen Bradley Suite to connect to some Micrologix 1100, they are on a service called dyndns.org, which allow to see plc remotely, the thing is that sometimes Dyndns change ip address, for example when the station lose power supply and then goes online again the station wont display online status, the Micrologix cant be seen again because this causes to change ip address, I create a solution with a script using cmd sending commands, for example sending pings to the device in dyndns.org and if the ip change send commands:net start KEPServerEXV6net stop KEPServerEXV6But the bad thing with this solution is that this causes a general reset in kepserver so all the stations go out temporally, my question is if theres a way to only reset one channel or tell to refresh IP address, Im also exploring options using Kepserver API service.Using Kepserver versión 6.6.362 (Because newer versión have issues resolving hostname) 

Hello to everyone,I use a KEPServerEX with the S7 Plus Ethernet connected with Ignition SCADA.I have a problem writing inside an array tag through a opc client. Every time I received this message: "bad_write not supported the server not does support writing the combination of value".I think that this message appears because clients are not enabled to write inside an array. Is there some setting to enable this functionality or the only way to write inside an array is by referencing the exact value? Thank you.   

Dear community,yet again I am troubling you with basic questions; unfortuntely the help document and the net search could not solve them.Currently I am trying to set up a simple subtraction with advanced tags:I subtract the current value minus the value from the memory tag into the derived tag  (I run the expression every 5 minutes)then I update the memory tag value to the current value tag using a link tag (every 5 min and 5 seconds)Sometimes my calculation works but other times the memory tag is updated before the derived tag is executed; the executed tag is sometimes 10 seconds late.Why is that? Can I set the order in which the tags are executed? I do not want to use a bigger time offset.I could use the data logger but it just doesn't seem right to me that it doesnt the execute the tags at their specific time.Thanks in advance.Kind regards,Kepware User

We have 2 kepware servers that needed online licensing. I was able to do online licensing for one of the servers but the other one failed with the error shown in the image below. I then did the offline licensing with success on this server, however, I need it to be online. I verified the server has internet and the credentials are correct. Can anyone help as to why one of our servers is rejecting the online setup?

Hi, I am trying to set up an MQTT Client Agent but I cannot get it to recognize the server certificate.If I disable SSL on the server side and change the MQTT broker URL to "tcp" it connects without issue. I have checked this instruction:https://learningconnector.ptc.com/tutorial/1651056322726/manage-iot-gateway-certificates?source=search It seems to emphasize that you should put the certs in "Trusted Root Certification Authorities", we have our certs as "Intermediate Certification Authorities", could this be the issue?We use Thingworx Kepware Server 6.13.Thankful for any help./BR Martin Siverbäck

The system that's currently logging historical data doesn't know if the data is bad or not. Communication to the device it's getting their data from is good but that device may not be talking to all the other devices it's gathering data from.  When the device we are getting data from thinks the data is bad it just maxes the value and doesn't leave it as last known. They then have all of their reports, trends, graphs, remove the high values from those requested from the current database. Is there a way to have KEPServerEX mark the data with a bad quality code, when a certain value is read? So that the Ignition Tag Historian will know the sample should be excluded from data requests.

Hello Everyone, I am doing POC to integrate the Modbus TCP device data to IOT platform.Here my challenge was IOT platform not accepting the tag name with "dot" delimiter in Json payload. so, i need a support or guidance to change the tag hierarchy or delimitator of Tag name in Kepware.Ex: channel1.device1.voltage  -----------> channel1_device1_voltage Background requirement: I need to read the tag values in IOT platform through MQTT gateway with Advance Template but unfortunately IOT Platform not accepting "dot" in payload variables. So, is anyone can guide / provide the possible solution to the same. thanks for your sincere response.

Hello! I'm fairly new to this area and have been tasked to setup a new server for a client. The old server is running kepserverEX using OPC DA and my job is to configure the new server and run OPC UA. I'm trying to test this out locally with a plc on my network with a few tags on it. The system in production has a ton of tags and ideally i'd like to see these tags imported in kep. I just cant seem to get it to work though. I was hoping to set up a channel with a OPC UA driver and add a device. But after that i just cant seem to figure out the next logical step. If I try select imported items in the setup I get a message saying I can't connect to localhost:49320. If I try tag generation i get the message "Unable to generate a tag database for device x: driver not started."I've tried to check for similarities in the setup on the old server, but it's running version 5 of kepserver and the configuration doesn't match all that well to what im looking at on version 6. I've gone thr

Hello everybody. We have a server with KepServerEX  (6.12.361.0) and Ignition (7.9.21)  installed as client of Kepware. In the OPC UA Configuration, the server endpoint is setted as default : opc.tcp://127.0.0.1:49320.Everything was working fine until last week. but now Ignition is in error becuase can not connect to the OPC server (kepware) . I noticed that even if the KepServerEx service is running, I can not see the port 49320 in Listening state ( I used the command C:\ ....\netstat -aon). I installed a Kepware on my laptop and when the service is running I can find this row (with the same command ...\netstat -aon):TCP      127.0.0.1:49320       0.0.0.0:0      LISTENING       15340 I tried to change the port number in the server but nothing changes.Other informations:The device connected to Kepware (channels) communicate perfectly.The server is not connected t

Hello everybody. As I posted in another thread, I have a problem with OPC UA Server endpoint. Port 49320. Until now I did not removed completely Kepware but only made Repair and Maintenance. If I remove KepserverEX and then, after a reboot, I  reinstall KepServerEX on the same machine, are the licenses still working? Which is the right way to do this operation. Is there an article about it?Thank you for your help.Guido De Biase 

Hello,  I'm using kepware datalogger. I have set it up to log to an existing table called "Interval". It has been working fine for a while. I stopped the data logger and added a few more tags to log. When I restarted the logger I get this error: Unable to query recordset on Log Group 'Test_IntervalReading'. Reason: Cannot find object ID 2063930610 in database ID 33.  This has happened once before, and by dropping and recreating the table it goes away. Obviously I cannot do that in future once I go live with my application. Does anyone have any idea what this error means and how to resolve it ? It seems to indicate to me that kepware cannot see the database or table ( I assume that's what those IDs refer to). However I can confirm that user has the right access to those tables. Not only has it been working already, but I've double checked by logging in as that user directly to the db etc.   

Dear community,another very basic question from me;if I want to "execute" a tag which basically just sends a hard coded string to an device; how do I do that from the client perspective?I have configured an tag in UCON which sends a string. Furthermore I do not want to periodically send the string; only when the client application wants it.I know I could get data from the client for this tag (for example a '01' ASCII string)  and could use IF-branching in UCON to execute the transmit command if the tag contains the data '01'. But I think I have overlooked something; I feel like there should be a "right"/"easier" way to do that from the client application. I have looked into the documentation but haven't found an satisfying answer yet; please help me.Kind regards   

Hello, I am currently using KepwareEx in conjunction with the DataLogger plugin for recording data from PLCs and CheckWeighers. The process works seamlessly when I log the data to dbo.FrequentReading. However, I'm experiencing issues when trying to log data to Kepware.FrequentReading (Kepware schema instead of dbo schema). Despite setting the default database and schema to Kepware for the user connection, the problem persists. Interestingly, Kepware does recognize the table and allows me to select it, but fails when attempting to write to it. Furthermore, when I try to set the table definition to Kepware.FrequentReading, I receive an error message stating that the table doesn't exist. We make heavy use of schemas within our databases, so it would suck to have to use dbo for the datalogger tables.  I'd appreciate any advice or solutions to this problem.  

Hello, I am working on an IoT program that needs Water level sensors, which are supported by or compatible with KepServer. Are there any Water level sensors that have been tested with KepServer? If yes, can I know the names of those Water level sensors? Thanks in advance
