Does anyone else have a problem with the Roughing toolpath not machining all of the way to the bottom of pockets? I have messed with the min and max step depths and step depth adjust. To all, I have a user that is simply creating an object like the one below. When he goes to complete the extrusion, it will not allow him to make the depth any less than .239???   He gets the following error gui in Creo:   I cannot reproduce the issue on my machine. The scale operation in Creo is not a true parametric feature and as such cannot be used for models where it is needed for design history, modifications, family tables, etc. The mold extension has a feature called shrinkage that is a scale feature; however, a license is required and the part must be a manufacturing part such as a mold cavity, or similar.  Consequently, this method is prohibitive.Another method exists.  I created this video for a coworker and it shows how to create a scale feature using the warp tool and creating a family table using the warp as an instance.  I apologize in advance, the computer I recorded this on is slow. Does anyone know if a toolpath like the "I-Machining" exsists for pro-e???? Basiclly what it does is make full depth cuts and use the total flute length to cut pockets out. Speeds up cutting nicely and i've seen it reduce times by 60%. Good morning, I am running into a situation where when I went to WF5 M220 and inthe couple months I have crashed my vertical CNC machine. First time millingaluminum with a 2" inserted cutter running at a little over 200 ipm the toolwas at the bottom of a pocket and the code tells it to feed right into apart. It totally destroyed my spindle on the mill. I had to replace thespindle and all PTC can say that they will submit it as a SPR to R&D. thathappened in May of 2013 case number #C11370982. The next problem happened inJanuary of 2014 where it destroyed my mold core that I spent 32 hours ofmachining case number #C11839437. The latest one is February 25, 2014 wherethe tool went thru my part at 1" depth and snapped the pull stud seized upthe taper inside the spindle. The weird thing was on this last one I ranthrough gouge and vericut with a 2" cutter before I release the program tothe floor and it was fine. Hi, I'm trying to create a "custom" drill cycle for a gun drilling application on my NH4000 Horizontal. This requires a the gun drill to enter a counter bore with the spindle off, then fire up the spindle and coolant, feed to depth, feed out to counter bore area, stop spindle, retract to cleanance plane, move to next hole and repeat. I was wondering if anyone has had to create a similar tool path and if so, how? I'm under pressure for these parts and will end up hand coding to get it done, but would much rather have a clean file for any future revisions or reposts. Just tried to integrate vericut with Creo yesterday. When Vericut is launched from Creo, version 7.1.5 launches. I spoke with IT (new machine) and 7.1.5 has never been installed on the machine. I work with a lot of manufacturing files that were created years ago with several different versions of ProE as it evolved to Creo. I find a lot of these older mfg files have a disorganized trees. Of course the operation is always higher in the tree than any of the sequences, but the sequences are in the tree all over the place after that. Without reorganizing, process manager doesn't work.So, a lot of times I try to staighten it out the way I think it should be. Rather than read through all the bracketed operations in the sequence names to find out where they belong, I often select the operation and then hit delete. This highlights everything that belongs to the operation. Then I cancel out of the delete process and re-organize. Is it just me or is everyone seeing this random tool numbering ?When I use templates that I have created in Process Manager from other milling / drilling sequences it seems the tool numbers seem to be random. It used to be the tool order was set as they were selected by sequence number in the model tree (sequence 1 tool 1,sequence2 tool 2) now they seem to be just random tool numbers. the only thing I can think of is they follow the numbering of the sequence the templates were created from.Getting old having to go in and set the tool number to the order I want them to be in which is the same as the sequence order in the model tree.this has been going on for a while I have just had enough of the re-ordering of the tools for every jobCre2.0 M080 This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I downloaded the free version of Creo Modelling Direct in January 2013 with the objective of producing a few simple models of steam engines aimed at encouraging and inspiring young people to consider engineering as a career. The program worked fine and I started a couple of models, however my work commitments preveneted me using Creo since March. With the coming new year I decided to try and make time to get a few models prepared and have been unable to start Creo on my machine. I cannot open or create any manufacturing files. When I look "in session" , the manufacturing file i try to create has a ".asm'" extension. Hello, I have a drawing that I am working on that has multiple instances. There is a part # table that I would like to have the PRO_MP_Volume in the first dash # and the PRO_MP_Area in the second dash #. The reason for this is our manufacturing process takes a -1 part to be plated into a -2 part.   Yes I could make a bunch of dash numbers in my family table and sort them out. But this makes model larger than need be and increases my regeration time. And I am currently not adding an offset to represent the plating, the manufacturing team just likes to have an idea of the surface are they will be covering with plating, so there is really only half of the part numbers in the family table.   Is there a way to write a relation to pull the pro_mp_volume for an individual instance into a cell and the same thing for pro_mp_area?   Attached in a picture of the table to help clarify what I am trying to achieve.   This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Managem

I need a post processor for a Haas toolroom lathe. There is a post in the library for a Haas SL20 but it really doesn't fit the toolroom lathe.The post processor library in ptc support hasn't been updated since the switch to gpost. I wish there was a spot on here or somewhere to upload and download post processors with the understanding that they might not work and use at your own risk. Okay.....I have to ask this again. Have we totally lost the ability to specify a two color draft analysis?If we have, note to PTC Developers: A five color draft angle range is CRAPPY! There is no way actual plastic partor casting designers were consulted on that.If we do still have this essential ability, please enlighten me on how to do it. Just thought I share this....Today I found a bug with Creo 2.0 M050 in regards to turning, this has caused us to scrap 5 wheels today of a new wheel typeNORMAL METHODNormal practice for roughing our tread profile is to stop the cut at the apex of the flange and then continue out on a tangent, we achieve this by setting a TREAD_APEX datum plane. Normally the tread is a single radius or two radius with a small flat in between, As such the common practice for creating the profile is to let it continue underneath, and let the datum end the cut, as shown below. This tread profile has two radius, but no flat in between. The datum is set to allow the cut to feed out at a tangent, as is the common practice. INCORRECT TOOL PATH CALCULATIONWith the profile stopped at the end of the R12 radius and the cut set to stop at the APEX via the datum plane, the tool path calculates incorrect as shown, causing it to undercut The finish product, it appears to calculate the R16 & R12 radius as one m
