Mathcad

I see that Prime 6.0 has been released today. On the e-store I see either a full license or a student license. Maple offers a home use license, but it doesn't seem like Mathcad has that. Does anyone know for sure? Also, does Mathcad 15 come with Prime 6.0 purchase. The e-store doesn't say.   Based on all the forum posts, it looks like Prime 6 delivers a lot more than people expected. It seems to address a lot of the gripes. I'm curious what the new symbolic engine is. Is it home grown or licensed from someone. The Knitro solver is mentioned, but I think that's something different.   Thanks,   Anthony

How to download mathcad free trial? I've downloaded it on my girlfriend computer, deleted, and now I wish to install it on mine. But I can not, cuz It's when I submit free trial button it redirects me to Issue Logger.

I am incorporating mass as a defined variable a mechanism force analysis and I keep getting an error that the value needs to be a vector. The file is below. What can I do to fix this issue?

I am using MathCAD Prime 2.0 for design calculations for a building I am engineering. I am fairly new to MathCAD, only learning a little about it in college. However, I am running into a units issue when calculating pounds per linear foot (lb/ft) to just pounds (a point load). I am taking 480 PLF * 4 ft, the feet should cancel out and you are left with just pounds. MathCAD is spitting out a lb*f, like the units for a moment. When I go to change the units to just pounds then it changes my units to (ft/s^2)*lb? Please explain to me what is going wrong here. Ich habe von Ihnen am 15.11. einen License Pack per e-Mail bekommen. Ich wollte nun heute mal die Vollversion von Mathcad ausprobieren. Leider kann ich die 30Tage kostenlose Lizenz nicht benutzen. Wenn ich über aktivieren gehe und meine Benutzernamen eingebe, dann erscheint, dass ich schon alle Lizenzen ausgeschöpft habe. Wenn ich die Datei die sie mir am 15.11. geschickt haben unter Optionen als Lizenzkonfiguration angebe, dann Kommt die Fehlermeldung (-9)/invalid host. In beiden Fällen kann ich die Vollversion nicht ausprobieren. Können sie hier hefen? MfG Marcus Schuck

To all   Q : How is it that mathcad 15 can solve a 3 unknowns , 2 equations problems? BackgroundI suspect I am overlooking something so obvious as to be embarrassing. I was writing down some “blocks” of stuff to figure out/decide how to set-up some syntax in mcad for a larger worksheet. Doing so I copied-and-pasted some equations from another worksheet and to my surprise mcad solve the problem i.e. I got number out! See attached This is based on static equilibrium Sum of force = 0 & sum of moments =0I added a 3rd equations (sum Fx=0) and mcad solve it too – fair enough I simply can’t quite get it – The issue is both math fundamental and understanding Mathcad. Hopefully some of the expert (you know who you are guys) can enlighten me on this Thanks in advance

I want to add beam section profiles to an excel list to expand the calculation options for this sheet.  I have added the beams that I want, but now i must add and in a new "if" statement to the bottom of each variable selection list. How do i do this?.   

Hi all, I am new to MathCAD and i can just not figure out this bug.  I am trying to plot a chart for beam deflection on prime4. I am using an old mathcad15 sheet as a reference and the cad 15 sheet calculates it fin so this should work but I cannot figure out why it's giving me an error.

Hi Guys, I have one question about how to use mathcad prime 6 to optimize two parameters in order to get a highest efficiency. For example, I have two variables A and B as input, and I already wrote one efficiency calculation file that using this two as variables, and output an fixed efficiency result. How can I use the optimization function in prime 6 that can help me get a highest efficiency (3D curve) when the two input A and B vary in a specific range? If you have any examples, please let me know. Thanks.

I've been using PTC Mathcad Prime 5.0 (student edition) for several months, and my computer crashed, so I need to re-download the software. (My license last for a few more months) I was able to look up my original order on the PTC Store website, but the link to download the software was not working. Is there another way to install the software?

I cannot install the new license. I have Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0 installed already, but the new license is refused due to apparently wrong host ID.I cannot install the PIM from the link with the order confirmation page. When I run it, nothing happens.

I could not activate the program.

Are this two ovals the two cyrcles - Apollonian circles?

I'm trying to plot the function listed below but it seems to have an issue with the label formating or something. I have a second copy of this file that was modified for other uses but does not have this issue. I checked the 'label' setting of each variable and made them the same as the other sheet but it obviously doesn't work. When I try to use Vopen in another funtion I get errors as well like...and...Although in my other sheet, both yield a 1x8 array of answers...What am I missing here?

To all, I am looking at using the CreateMesh() if not using a “constant" X & y range. I had a look at the “amazing image in mcad” e-book but for some reason none of the hyperlinks are working – just images!Is there a way of plotting a function f(x,y) for a non-constant range of  x&y values i.e. not a rectangle. In other words filled the area enclosed by user defined points? See attached for exampleIs it possible to fill the area enclosed by the I-shape with function S1   Thanks  

Do you know an analytical solution of this problem - a closed chain on the horisontal cylinder? Mathcad Prime 5 two sheets (Find & Minimize) in attach.

Hi,I´m currently using MathCad_Prime6.0 trial version as I need to edit some of my old scipts calculating statistic methods from my former studies. So I use those scripts as I set them up 5 months ago, calculating probability distributions and convolutions of them.Trying to plot them in a diagram, identically according to e.g. >>https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r6.0/de/PTC_Mathcad_Help/example_prob_dens_and_cum_prob_dist.html#<<, plotting does not work graphically (there is only a single point in the plot depending on the diagram type, for instance), nor is an error message displayed. When changing the diagram type, the scaling, the variables or the functions nothing happens either. So is this connected to the trial version licence or am I missing something else? Unfortunately I cannot add a screenshot, but its excactly the typing of the example shown in the link. Maybe you can give me a short support. Thanks a lot in advance! Marco

When I try and run the instalation program, only extracting window appears, then dissapears when it reaches 100%. After that nothing happens anymore.

Why I don't want to create a chart.Will you help?

I have entered all the equations and attempted to set up a solve block but to be honest I am completely lost. I have attached my file here, if anyone could respond and show me what this in the end looks like I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,I am unable to license my MathCad trial. I keep getting a license request failed error on the basis of an invalid host. The host ID show in the MathCad license manager matches that in the license file and the license file was generated on the same machine as I am licensing so I don't fully understand why I am unable to license the software. Ich möchte das Widerstandsmoment ausrechnen und mit einer Exceltabelle in der sich schon  Hohlprofile mit Widerstandsmomente befinden, vergleichen und mir den richtigen Träger anzeigen lassen und die Höhe ,Breite und Dicke in eine neue Exceltabelle speichern, damit ich die Maße an Catia v5 übergeben kann.     Ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen.....
