I'm a structural engineer just getting into Mathcad and I see that they offer some premade worksheets for purchase.  The Civil & Structural package is listed at $200.  Has anyone used these or have an opinion of them.  I'd like to see some sheets to see how Mathcad can be applied.  Right now I am using the very basic features and I'm familiar with Excel so that's how I'm approaching my worksheets.  I'm sure I could learn quite a bit from seeing other sheets/approaches, but if the sheets are all out of date like the ones that are availible for free I think I'll pass.   Anyone have an opinion?

Hi everyone! I am trying to find a better solution (working for many more "boxes") for the problem exemplified in the attachment. I have a list of "boxes", defined in a matrix of X,Y,Z coordinates.  I would like to get a 3D representation of the boxes. What I have attached works, of course, but it would be much better if one could represent the "walls" of the boxes, without all the points inside.  Is this too much for MathCAD?  what do you think? I am trying to solve a cubic equation for the unknown X, but one of the input parameters is a vector. I tried to solve symbolically and then substitute the vector but something doesn't seem right. Then i tried to program a function that solves it for every value of the vector input, but since the result contains 3 solutions, it doesn't work. I hope you will be able to find a solution. I could not solve a simple problem (the radius of the ball) by the method of scientific poking (see please Trial and error). I decided that one bug got into my head. But I decided not to give up and converted the file into Mathcad Prime 4 (see please attachs). The bug was not in my head, but in Mathcad 15. What is this bug? Mathcad 15Mathcad Prime 4

Why am I not able to see the plot ? 

Hi everybody! what happen with my integration?. I generated a function f(y) and integrated it in it's step and the value match with the simply calculation. But when I integrated the function from begin to end in one step, the integrate shows a wrong value. The function plot is clear!   Is this a mystery?   Thank you everybody

the ordinate values for W(D,M) exceeds 10^307 at some points in calculation. I want to assign 10000 to W(D,M) in those cases. Please see attached mathcad file. Thanks for A to A.

Hi, All -- I'm trying to build a solve block with the following constraints:   s1*sin(q1) = s2*sin(q2) = ... = sn*sin(qn)    However, the number of terms (n) is not know a priori. Is there a way to do this in MC15?   Thanks. Matt

We've been upgrading our servers and now I need to move the licensing for Mathcad Prime 3.0 as well. The new server is a Windows Server 2012 r2 and I'm trying to install lmadmin 11.11.1. I would like to solve this problem https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad-Questions/Chebyshev-step-macine-optimization/m-p/500155 not with the Minimize function but with the MinErr function. But do not know how. Help me please! The Mathcad 15 and Prime 4 files are in attach.

Does anyone know if there is a an equivalent mcad function to the filter() function in MathLab? Don’t think there is . See picture in attached file attached   I am looking at the standard SRS calculation but the recursive loop is not producing what is expected.

Using symbolics (4.0) to develop an algebraic solution - but I get more than I bargained for.     I can't seem to find an assume or other feature to simplify this.  I'm assuming I need to specify real solutions or similar but that doesn't seem to work.  What I'm expecting to see is: PR=  Any ideas?   Thanks,

I created an if function for one of my equations and when I plug in the equal value as a solution, it does not recognize it as a correct value even though the inequality symbol shows that it has to be.

I am trying to code ASCE7-10 table 27.6-2 to find my wind pressure of my roof but it is based on different parameters like the slope and the height and the wind speed.     Is there a way I can interpolate a table instead of having to do a bunch of matrices and interpolate each individually to find the pressure?  The image below is what i am trying to avoid, doing a bunch of matrices to then get the final answer.

I am trying to determine the width that a 1.1um object would appear when imaged through a microscope and detected onto a camera.    This involves the convolution of 3 functions - the psf which quantifies the optics performance, the bead object itself - modelled as a top hat, and the detector pixel response again modelled as a top hat.   I cant understand why the artefact appears when I have a span of 100 but doesn't when the span is 80.   Also I perform the fwhm calc (via gaussian fit) on the pixellated image.  How would I more accurately perform it on the high resolution image and express the result in um.

Hello!I am used to MathCAD Prime but I am currently using MathCAD 15 for the weekend due to my computer being packed up for a move.I use a lot of text regions with inserted math regions to describe my work, for example if I wanted to type out a base formula that I do not need to calculate, but only need it to express the validity of a following equation I might type something like the following:   {If [A(x)] = [B(x)] for [x]=[0], then [D(s)]=[C(s)]}   [C(s):=s^2+4] [D(s):=C(s)]   Where {Curved brackets indicate opening a text region} and [Straight ones indicate a math region inside the text region].   Is there an easy way to do this on MathCAD 15? I only know how to start a text region but not how to start a math region inside the text box.   If there's any other easy way to use an equals sign without calculating or assigning any of the variables that would also meet my needs.   Thanks in advance!
