In Mathcad15 , the solution of the following simulataneous equation is correct ?Because the solution of MM,NN,LLKs is zero. If so, zero division is in equation. One solution is also attached. Please advise me.<< one solution of above equation>>
Hi, I seem to have worn the internet thin, and have scoured posts here aswell and have not found what i'm looking for. i might have misset it, if so i apologice. Also, please excuse my english. So what i'm looking for is a way to have mathcad prime look at an equation and store coefficients as variables - maybe by comparing the equation to a "mask". please take a look at the attached file to see what i'm talking about. Thank you in advance /Tonni
No idea why this doesn't work.Even though this works as intended:So it works for substituting B1 for D1 and F1 just fine, but for some reason substituting B1 for whatever it is defined doesn't work. Thanks in advance.
I run Mathcad 15 on a virtual Windows XP machine within my iMac Sierra. I have not used Mathcad for more than a month. when I came to use it this afternoon (9th June 2017) I could not start it up. Can anyone direct me to someone who might be able to help, e.g. a help department of PTC, please?
Hi,I need help regarding a user input method. I'm creating and programming a list of calculations derived from a materials properties, such as Yield Strength, UTS and Young's Modulus, and I'm wanting to include a function where the user can select their choice of material, rather than typing it in manually, such as a drop down list or a tick box system. I'm currently using prime 3.1, but have the option to upgrade to prime 4.0. Could anyone assist me?Thanks
Hi all, I have a question regarding the selection of a proper value for a parameter from a list based on the evaluation of its transfer function. As shown here, if I have a variable a, whose value can be selected from a list. A transfer function TF(s,a) is an s-domain function including this variable. We can calculate bandwidth and phase margin of a selected value of "a". I am wondering if it is possible to specify the criteria for the bandwidth and phase margin, and let Mathcad follows these criteria and select the optimized value of "a" from the list?Thank you!
Hi, I am trying to create a nested while loop in Mathcad prime that takes previously identified matrices (global, outside the loop) and augments them until the variable b_uc_cp in the third row of the matrix converges (<5% change). The while statement itself has a try/on error statement because for initial cases, the criteria would have a divide by zero error.I have been having issues with this loop, and am wondering if anyone here might have any solutions?Thank-you so much!
How to identify the Max Value in Table automatically?
Hello guys,i want to know if someone know how to create a circalr diagramm on MC prime 3.1 ?something like that!Thnaks for your help !
Hi all, I have a nonlinear function whose bode plot have multiple crossing of the 0dB line. I want to return the first zero crossing point from the bode plot as the bandwidth information, would anyone help me about this? The method I used to do only works for the function with only one zero crossing point. But it get some problems in this multiple-zero-crossing cases. Thank you!
Hi everyone,I have a strange problem that I am not able to identify. It is a system problem, not a technical question about Mathcad.Nevertheless maybe someone has experienced this and can help. I have already re-booted my PC.It happens in Mathcad 15, not in Prime. When I try to save, I get:my Disk E: is not full!If I save on Desktop and then move the file to the target directory, it will be saved there ok. The problem happens now for many Mathcad files in that directory (but not for all).thanks for any hintsRegardsClaudio
Hi,How can I purchase Mathcad 15 or renew its license after the trial period has finished?Regards,
As a user in Mathcad 15 and below, I know how to setup the default unit system for mathcad worksheet. For instance, Length = inch, time = s mass = lb force = lbf, pressure = psi. When I calculate such as Force/ Area, the unit of the answer is psi. When I try to do a very simple test in Prime 4, the unit always is always wrong..How can I do the same task in Mathcad Prime?
Hi All, I have a question regarding using the if condition inside the "add line" block, would anyone help me about this?My target is to assign a value to the parameter "c_calculated". If logic=1, I want to use an equation to calculate the variable "c_calculated". If logic=0, I want to assign a number "c_initial" to the variable "c_calculated" . However, it seems like Mathcad does not allow me to do it in the way showing below. Would anyone tell me what is wrong with this?Thank you!
I am using Mathcad Prime 3.1 and I can not find the minimum or maximum of functions at certain constraints.
How do you copy and paste cells from an excel spreadsheet in Prime? I would like the cells to be editable
One my student have been calculated in Mathcad a turbine and have created on the 3D printer its rotor:
Hi All, I have a variable x that can be calculated by a function. I also have an array to determine the practical numbers that can be used in this variable. I want to use lookup information to find the closest information from the array based on the calculation results. However, it seems like the guides in PTC Mathcad Help cannot really solve my problem. Would anyone take a look at the attached worksheet? Thank you!
hi all,I'm fitting data to an expression in Prime 2. i'm formulated the fit usinggenfitleastsquaresfitminimize (SSE...)issues:genfit is fast but I need to implement constraints.leastsquaresfit is reasonably fast but the results don't quite match the other two methods.minimize results match genfit but it's wicked slow to converge.questions- why is leastsquares not matching genfit or minimize?- can I speed up minimize?
Hi All, I have a variable with selection menu in the middle of a worksheet. Ideally, the default initial selected value should come from the calculation of a previously calculated number (which depends on the previous calculation).Would anyone teach me how can I add a button or do some operation to set up the initialization of the selection table? Thank you!
When I got Prime 4 I also bought one of the worksheet add-ons, but cannot find a way to access them within the program other than directly opening the document like I would a file I'm working on. Is there ebook functionality to the use of worksheets like there is in MC 15 where they are part of the help system and may be viewed alongside your working document in a separate window? Or capability close to this? If not, what is the intended approach for their use? (I'm use to MC v14 handbooks and quicksheets and wondering if that functionality is reproduced in any fashion in Prime 4).TIADavid
HiI am wondering wether or not you can calculate FEM matrixes with units, does anyone have any experience with that? The main issue I am stuck at is when you need to take the inverse of a matrix with mixed units, then you'll get into trouble...Would be really sweet if you could calculate them with units though any ideas on how to?I have attached a file exampleBest regardsMartin
I'm currently using Prime and I really need to downgrade to 15. Does anyone know how to do this because for the life of me I can figure out how to downgrade from Prime to 15.
Hi!I have a solving problem with the numerical solver. As you can see in the sketch, i have a heavy tube which is held with two steel-strings. The fixing point of the tube is not in the middle. Now I'm searching for the forces, angles, and the length change of the strings accounting the hooke's Law, the geometrical relations and static equilibrium. So far, so good. When changing the guess-values of the angles i get different results, what should not be.What is going wrong here?Any help is appreciated.Thank you, best regards, VolkerI'm working with MP4.
