Mathcad

Hi,PTC made this good video showing the new features of Mathcad prime 10. But they did not make any guides or tutorials in how to make it work. You can see the feature in action here, where the text box change from "PASS" to "FAIL" and the color change from green to red. I have a foundation calculation which have multiple checks. Basically I have a load and a calculation which gives med the max load on the foundation. Here I have made a simple "if" formula which give me "OK" or "Not OK". But they do not have color. I need to change the color manually.  I have this:  When I saw the feature in the above video, I knew that would make the calculation so much better. But I simply don't know how to do it?  I have tried Input/output -> Controls -> Advance -> Text box I have the feeling that this

Hi there,  I have 2 questions:1) Can I choose the location of the excel sheet in Sharepoint of our company ( using link) like I did below? I need the file in company data not personal PC.2) How can I generate the same excel sheet for all the results instead of generating new sheets for each ?The sheet is attached below , page no 4 , using Prime 9 

Hello. I created a range variable "y" with units (see attached file). Then I try to calculate parameter "H". Mathcad says that "This value must be scalar or a vector". I think it is strange that the calculation fails. What do I do wrong here? Sergey

I cannot find any language option in the menu. Anybody had this problem?

I can't export my results to excel file when the results contains more than one matrics .I am generating excel files for some results using the function(WRITEXCEL). When the matrics is vector which means has only one colunm it easily export it to excel file. However, when the results has more than one colunm like shown below it doesn't work. this error is on page 33. how can I solve that?      It shows error  

Hi guys,   I'm having issues with embedded Excel files.  After opening a Mathcad Prime 10 file with an embedded Excel file (from which I'm reading in data for calculation) MC suggests that I might be editing the Excel file and thus the calculation can't continue; see screen shot. Has anybody experienced the same issue and (hopefully!) a solution to the problem? Some more information: Win 11, 64 Bit machine. MathCad Prime 10 Checked Task Manager for background Excel files running - none. I've deleted the Excel file and "re-embedded" a new one - same issue. New Mathcad file with new embedded Excel file - same result.

At my uni, MathCAD was recommended to our class by a professor and I saw online that there are 2 programs available, one is MathCad Prime and other is MathCad. Which one should I choose if I want to use it for math, physics and mechanics? Some collegues used in the past MathCad 15 and told me this one is good, others says that MathCad Prime 4,5 or 7 is good. Is one from these 2 better than the other? Are there updated versions for the ones mentioned above?

I'm YJ from South Korea. I'm a user of MC prime 10. Recently I'm solving 2D Reynolds equation in polar coordinate with FDM. I've obtained a p(r,theta) in 11 x 11 matrix. Now I'd like to plot it in 3D cylidrical coordinate. I wonder how to do it. I need tutorials or examples to get familiar with ploting in polar coordinate or cylindraical coordinate. Help help me out of here! I always appreciate your help.

Are there any file format rules about "Save as PDF or "Print to PDF? I generate 30 page workshheets with a few plots with many line styles and trace colors.Very often the PDF conversion process ignores some colors and changes line styles.Text and graphics are well spaced.This has become an on and off case-file for some time and I am working with a PTC help agent in India.On one occasion I removed all text and plots were perfect!  We have no ideas about the problem.Files will not be shared online:  Patent submission. 

I'm converting a MathCAD 15 worksheet to Prime 9.0.  The MathCAD 15 worksheet uses sliders to control input variables for a design.  The slider in MathCAD15  is installed via insert/control/slider.  I do not see anything similar in Prime 9.0.   Am I missing something -- are there any options?

In the attached mathcad 15 worksheet the following error message is seen when double clicking the header area.  This area is an excel spreadsheet. The header is not accepting input from the form in the shaded box to the right.  I have used this header for years and now all of a sudden it has stopped working.  Can anyone please help me get this back and running again.

I am having issues with the Include Worksheet command in Mathcad Prime 7.  I have a template with all of our standard materials propeties which I want to point to for our range of standard calculations.  I am finding that it looses the link because of how sharepoint downloads the files to you machine, it creates a personal folder on your C drive. Is there a way to keep the link live rather than it using the cache data no matter what machine its downloaded to?

Hello PTC Community, I had calculations in Mathcad prime 10.0 version. When I am trying to open the sheet in prime 9.0, it gives me an error message that the file is not compatible as it is written in the latest version.  I would appreciate if anyone can help me. Thanks,Abdur

        Greetings, I tried to create custom functions in mathcad but I was able to do it, however I wanted to create that function fc and fc1 and I couldn't, I get an error message I understand how to compile and tried other functions but when I go to do it with results of vectors and matrices I have this problem here I attach the code in C only for the fc function, could you help me how to create both custom functions please?    

Lets say I have an integer   If even number then round down to an odd number. If odd then keep the number. eg. x = 888   I want to round this  down to an odd number. 887   Thank you.

Hi, I'm using PTC Mathcad 9.0 version for my documentation. I have included few onedrive & Google Drive links into the doc and saved the doc in PDF format. When try opening the PDF on chrome/adobe reader, i found that the google drive links were opening completely fine whereas Onedrive links were not opening. I was getting errors like "Link not found". The same Onedrive link opens without any issue when opened in Mathcad tool also, when copy pasted it separately on chrome. I can see the issue is only when try opening from PDF. So, anyone else experienced this issue before? Is there any solution to work around? Thanks.
