Does anyone know why I get an error message when I convert from MathCad 15 to Mathcad 8 prime or does anyone know what this printout does in general? Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weis jemand wieso ich beim konvertieren von MathCad 15 auf Mathcad 8 prime bei diesem Ausdruck eine Fehlermeldung bekomme bzw. weiß jemand was dieser ausdruckt allgemein macht.
Hello, EDIT:I understand that in the first case I take for i a column matrix: And in the second case I take: How to loop the n column matrix in t?
Stupid question...I'm just getting back into MathCAD (Prime 7.0) after several years absence...I'm trying to see if create a simple routine that will automatically strip the units from a variable and display only the numeric portion...so I can turn it into a string and use it in text functions. Essentially what I have right now...The routine divides out the SIUnitsOf(variable) and multiplies that by a conversion factor that it sequentially looks up in a matrix. And it divides the variable by the conversion factor's base unit (from the same matrix). When I type out the procedure for an individual case, it gives the expected answer. When I try to put that procedure into a "for" loop, it gives me an unexpected "These units are not compatible" error....can anyone see what am I doing wrong?
Hi All, I have been given the task of trying to make this MathCAD program work in Prime. It works perfectly well in MC15 but throws up unit errors in Prime. I was guessing that it had something to do with the unit which is Newtons, which I added in, but it still doesn't work. Any advise on where this is going wrong?
Hi Bill, Reference topic - https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Beam-bending-using-finite-differences/m-p/884208#M207256I was just wondering why I tend to get failures if I run this multiple times within the same MathCAD sheet (i.e. cut and paste it several times). Usually I can get away with running two different runs (usually x and y) but if I'm looking at multiple items, despite clearing what I think are the important variables, it always throws up an odd error? Do you know if there is a reason this would happen and good places to trouble shoot when it does?
See image below. I tried giving K_t units of "inches" but that doesn't work.
I am trying to run the code but at this sectionI get this error. Why?
I've searched as best as I can to find any reference concerning controlling the units as they are passed from an embedded Mathcad Prime 9 file to Creo (9.0.4.0). I'm aware of the "locked-down" default unit system sets available to us in Prime - please PTC fix this and add the functionality like we had in v15 to establish our own default unit set!!! The issue stems from our Creo part model having units set to "mm", and Prime insisting, of course, to only pass results back to Creo in "m" (or in "cm" or "in" if selected as the default). Is there any "trick" to force Mathcad Prime to pass result units back to Creo in "mm"? BTW, I know we can strip the units and simply send back a numeric value by dividing the result in Prime by "mm". The challenge there is if somebody wants to switch unit systems in Creo, the process will return incorrect values from Mathcad. In the meantime, I'll post an enhancement request in that section of the Mathcad forum to add custom default unit systems. Thank
Hello, On page 7 of the attached sheet, there is a solver that existed in the sheet i created in mathcad 15. When i converted it to Prime 9, it removed the syntax "Given" and it aslo states undefined variables. I dont know how to fix it. Thanks,Sam
I always wonder why, after a walk in the park, some of my shoes remain clean, while others are always smeared with dirt. I videotaped my walk and realized that the reason was a large welt of brown boots. Drops of water flying up can get on the shoes only if they have a certain trajectory, which depends on the initial conditions (Cauchy problem). Now I am trying to create a mathematical model (ODEs) of this process in Mathcad. Who can help me? May be this problem was solved!
Hi, I have a perpetual license of Mathcad Prime 3. Now I am trying to install Mathcad on my new PC, but the only version I can find available for download on PTC's website is 9.0. I tried to activate my license on that, but as expected it did not work. Following the recommendation given in a similar thread in this community, I also tried to contact the vendor (digitalriver.com) who sent me the license back in 2014, but it seems like they no longer work with PTC. Can anyone from PTC guide me on how to install Mathcad Prime 3 on my PC? Best,Felipe
Forgive me, I am new to Mathcad. I have created a simple equation in Matchcad and it appears to be giving me the incorrect answer. When calculating the same on my calculator or in a relation in Creo I get the answer: 32.2275... Does anyone know why this is the case?
Hello,
Help please. Give me please PRIME 6 or picture!
I can not install MathCadPrime Version 7, but I need it to exchange data with my colleagues. This is not about the trial edition. It is about the real edition of MathCadPrime 7. The failure message is: "Nicht zulässig".
As we are expanding into other areas of the world, we will need Mathcad licences covering both Europe and Asia. Is it possible to do this with one set of floating licences? Or, do we need to have one licence server for each country/region?
I have some VBS and Python scripting files that allow me to generate Mathcad 15 files using the XML data that Mathcad 15 is built on.In Prime, it looks like the XML formatting is no longer supported, so I was wondering if there is any way to automate the Mathcad Prime converter tool to automatically convert the 15 files to Prime. Is there an API for the converter tool, or is there any way to run VBS scripts to interface with the converter tool? I was envisioning generating the Mathcad 15 files the way I normally do, then append a conversion step to my scripting files by pointing the converter tool to the automatically generated 15 files.
Hello,I have a MATHCAD 14.0 with Single User Product. Could you please provide the VOLUME LICENSE PRODUCT? I need to install in my computer.Thank you very much,
In the solve block there is an issue with my vectorized values where even if they are vectorized the solve block will still ask them to be in vector form. Also, for some odd reason I believe my if statement asks for a scalar result even though I am following my professors' steps in which his if statement works.Attached you will find the worksheet in question. Thank you.
HiAfter following a link to a form (found on this website)to achieve above task and inputting product code into form I get message that"The trial program you are requesting is no longer available. Please visit the software product page on www.ptc.com to explore our latest versions."I just want to continue using my software (which was working on my old laptop) on a new pcPlease adviseThanks
Dear Masters,I would like to simplify the equation by repeating the program of the vibration analysis no repetition below using for statements, etc.The process I'm trying to do is vibration analysis repeatI want to draw the simplified graphs together on one graph, but it is not easy. Finally, I want to draw a final graph superimposed by adding five eigenfunctions. I need the help of masters. My version is Prime 6.0.
Hi! Kindly please convert the file to mcdx. Reference topic link Much Thanks... applegen
Good day. I was wondering if anyone can introduce a good tutorial and help me on how I can compile the global stiffness of this example problem in mathcad prime. I am currently studying FEA Method and still do not know how to properly mesh 2d into a single matrix. I hope anyone can help me program it. Thank you.
Dear allI got stuck in print report. because there are many variables in my symbolic equation so it cant be fit to my paper A4. for exampleif I assign : then Shear_Part(T)=..........is it possible? or do you have any method?*File attached
I am trying to get a license for Mathcad Prime 9.0. My point of contact is Jon Cooke. He is terrible at getting back in touch. Is there someone else that can help me please? Steve Turner
