Hi all, This may be a silly question but I'm just getting started with Mathcad (Prime 9.0) and learning the ropes. In the attached spreadsheet I can't seem to use the solve function to find RB with predefined variables in the equation. If I manually input all the variables into the equation the solve function works but if I leave it as I have it, it does not. Am I doing something wrong or can you just not use pre-defined variables? Thanks,James

Hi, I have some questions about the attached file (questions are highlighted yellow on page 3 & 4). I'm trying to extract columns from my matrices Pz, Px, and My and combine them into new matrices, each with a Pz, Px, and My column, plus zero values for Py, Mx, and Mz. My first question: why do I lose my units when I convert the nested matrices Pz, Px, and My to regular matrices with the method I used? Second question - in order from easy to difficult: How do I create one matrix taking the first column from Pz, Px, and My? How to create three matrices with all columns extracted one by one? How to keep the number of matrices flexible in case columns in Px, Pz, and My are removed or added? I'd really like to understand how to do this for future projects as well. Below an image from Excel on what I'm trying to achieve.Thank you!   

Hello, some time ago I downloaded a test version of Mathcad Prime 7.0, which then after 30 days got downgraded to the free Express version. Since then I had to reinstall my operating system, and now would like to install Mathcad Express once again. However, when using the installation file I saved, I only have the option to install the 30-day test version of Mathcad, which I'm unable to do, because the account I use already used its 30-day trial version tied to it. Is there a way to skip this test version and instead simply install the Express version right away?

I have a stiffness matrix where units within columns and rows are inconsistent. I tried to inverse the matrix but it said " The matrix element units are not compatible with this operation". How can I fix this? If possible. Or I just did this wrong. ps: I this question  a few years ago. The very same question. However, the solution is no longer working. Thank you for any inputs!

Hi, I'm currently having programming issues with converted mcxd files See attached screenshot. It's not reading PRN correctly. I have the file installed and using the read data file it finds the prn file it just won't populate the data. See attached screenshot.Any info would be greatly appreciated. The university used to use mathcad 14 and i believe when converting the file the si units are not populating either.Thanks,Josh

Notice that pwrfit(vx, vy, vg) returns a vector containing the coefficients for a power curve of the form y(x)= axb+c that best approximates the data in vx and vy using guess values in vg.2. Hi,I'm having problems with using MathCAD to extract the time at which the maximum value of a function happens. I've attached a file with the example. In the attached file, after some initial setup of parameters etc on page 1, on page two I define 2 ODEs in a solve block and solve them with ODESOLVE. This seems to work, and I have plotted the outputs in several graphs. They look as I expect. At some time I get a single peak produced on the graph of f(t). I want Mathcad to tell me at what t this peak happens. I've tried using Maximize, and this gives me incorrect answers for t. I've then tried differentiating f(t) and attempting to find the root that corresponds to the peak of f(t). This works for some sets of parameters and I thought I'd cracked it. But then I change one of the parameters slightly and root stops working, giving me the error message "The ODE solution is calculated over a limited range. Choose a value within this range or expand the range".&

I have a new computer, and I want to move my Mathcad 14 Academic to it.However, it seems like getting a license over the internet isn't working anymore.Is there any way to get a new license file?

I've got a 15 page document in Mathcad Prime 1.0. Items are strategically placed on the pages for readability and page breaks. However, when I save, close, and reload the file, my math and text regions seem to have all moved around; creating overlapping text regions and regions that flow over the page breaks.Anyone else seen this problem or have a tip on how to anchor these regions to the page between file opens?

Is it possible to copy part of one worksheet to clipboard and paste it in another worksheet?Seems to me it is not possible to do it like it's done for example in AutoCAD.      

Hello experts, I hope the question is in the right category. I haven't been able to find an answer in the community yet. A function should be passed as an element in a program [e.g. p(f):=II…]. This function can have a different number of its own elements [e.g. f(x1, x2, …)]. How can I pass the function to the program and how can I find out within the program how many elements the function has? Thanks for your help. SW: PTC Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0
