Can you create the FibonaciN(n, N) function? See the template (Prime 7) in attach!

I ran into a problem where Mathcad 8 (or 4 which I used previously) does not show the correct value or units for a calculation. I would send you the file with the calculations but I see no way to do so with this form. This may be the only error that I have detected while running Mathcad over the years.

I bring the curve of the second order (hyperbola - red curve) to the canonical form. Why don't my starting blue points end up on a hyperbola transformed to a canonical form. Help me please! Mathcad 15 in attach.  

Hi team, I have a column matrix with 98400 rows. I want to divide this matrix into multiple matrices with 25 elements in it each. So 3936 matrices. And want to store all the 3936 matrices in a variable, so that I can call each matrix with indexing. For example I have Matrix C with 1 column and 98400 rows. I want to divide C matrix into 3936 matrices, and also able to call each C1, C2..C3936 matrices with 25 elements each.I am trying to do this using for loop but there has been no success.In the attached example I have given a column matrix with 50 elements. and want to work out to divide that into 2 matrices.Thanks

Hello, I am trying to create a value for the sum above to then plot in an overall graph of capacity vs increments.so capacity vs Ts.idx (100mm) increments.  IncrementTs.idx 0 would be 0 Ts.idx 0.1 would be 0.08+0=0.08Ts.idx 0.2 would be 0.321+0.08+0=0.401 etc and so on. so, the value of Ts.idx and everything above it Then I can see quiet easily and what total length would be needed to resist the ULS load in a good visual output.

Mathcad prime 8 is having trouble understanding Vector quantity. When I open the worksheet, It automatically calculates and throws the error " This value must be scalar or vector".When the equals sign is deleted and replaced, the worksheet works fine.But then if I change the units from "m" to "mm", the worksheet looses the vector values again and throws the same error. Can someone confirm if there is permanent solution to this.P.S: I created this worksheet in Mathcad prime 7.0, recently got prime 8 installed. Could that be reason? Or just this version has the bug.

Can anybody explain what the function fibonacci (undocumented, symbolic only, Mathcad 11) does?     It accepts more than one argument, but only the first appears to be observed. Luc

I am aware of the 'klugy' workaround (my impression and the lack of efficiency/speed) using the Math...Insert Chart Component tool/button, but for a simple, quick few clicks the 27 years of using MathCAD got rid of the basic plot tool's ability to create and customize simple gridlines. It also appears to have removed the TraceXY feature, where you can actively move the cursor, point by point along the curve to see the X, Y values at each point. As it stands in v7.0, the vertical and horizontal 'markers' are independent of the curve or data points, making it unusable for the old TraceXY tool since it will contain random error in both X and Y values. 

Does anyone have this problem in P8 where in full screen the left-hand side is clipped making it difficult to see/locate the area collapse button? 

Is there a way to write an equation with an unknown variable? The solution could then be displayed as a product of the variable, and then use another formula to cancel out the unknown variable. In the attached screenshot, the n at the beginning of the first equation is unknown. Therefore the solution of s(eff)/n = 140 mm can be rearranged to s(eff) = 140*n mm. This can be then be cancelled out in the second equation to solve for K. Note - In the screenshot (which is from a design guide), the guide confusingly uses n to define three different variables. In my workbook they are defined in order as n, n(1) and n(2), with n on the LHS of the equation being the unknown.

So, I'm using Mathcad express prime 8, I've been trying it out in a trial, liking it so far, I've come to run into some issues: The first one is that despite having the decimal precision set to exactly 3, these numbers are being displayed as the full precision of the solver, and I have no idea why: No matter what I've tried, Nothing seems to fix it. Every other solution is displaying properly. The second issue I'm having are with these units. I wanted to display mΩ where appropriate, but I can't seem to figure out how to properly add units. The last issue is of this temperature issue. I'm trying to do a temperature analysis on a mosfet but the temperature units is giving me issues. I've tried to look for solutions online, but nothing seems to have worked.I'll be including the sheet if needed. Thanks!

So I'm working with a trial account while practicing with this software for a new job. I've tried to set up a simple algebraic equation, and set the solution to that equation to a variable, in which you can see here:I believe that I set the equation up correctly, however I'm getting this error telling me that R1 is not set up as a variable, despite me defining it with the solve above. What did I do wrong?

I have an issue plotting in Mathcad 15.I am trying to plot a 3D surface, and I received a message that I have never seen before:"Specified cast is not valid."I do not know what that means and do not see the problem.I could calculate the matrix that gets all the values for the surface calculation, but at the moment of plotting it, I receive that message. Thank you in advance, Rogelio

Hello,"sqrt(x) confrac, fraction" does not work symbolically. Every other functions like sin(x) etc. are working well. What is to do in MC14, to get "sqrt(x) confrac, fraction,n" as a new structured function?Regards, Alfred Flaßhaar 

Has anyone got a technique for monitoring the progress of a programme? If you are running a long iterative programme involving many loops (OK Prime is not the best for this I know), but still, it would be great if it were possible to trigger any kind of output to indicate progress. Thanks!  

Hi All, I'm trying to calculate the properties of a weld. As part of this i need to integrate to the shape area to find area, second moment of area, etc. One of the piece wise function's gives an error once i go over a certain number on the depth.  The function works fine when calculating properties about the x axis but not the Yaxis. Please find the problematic function attached. Any idea's how to fix this?

Making one cone with cap out of a role paper of 12 cm in width. Cone has θ in center angle. Cap and cone have largest areas and each with one piece. Find the minimum length, l(θ), of role paper required. If θ=90deg, then l=15 cm is the answer.
