Mathcad

Hello,   Attached is a little program that calculates the normal and shear stresses. Load P can be applied at different angles. I'd like it to report the results for the loads, angles and von Mises stress. I can't get it to run. I am also wondering if i can include the units for area, section modulus, load......   Thanks, Sam

Hi, I am trying to simulate a base excitation using a velocity versus time waveform as the base excitation. I have imported an excel file and developed a velocity time function using "linterp". When I try to integrate this it flags an error. Further down the sheet I use an indefinite integral to derive the base input displacement from my velocity waveform. Is this OK. Any assistance would be appreciated. Cheers Ross

hello,   I'm curious if we able to do sum of square in mathcad? I'm thinking to the the sum of square on math cad for the filtered temperature and unfiltered temperature. Scenario 4 & 5.    if it is impossible to do it on mathcad, would you please recommend me the way to download the data to excel?   Thank you so much

Hello, in the scenario 5, I will need to do Tfi = alpha*Tn+(1-alpha)*Tf(i-1). which mean the new Tf value  at time (i- 1). I'm not sure how to have that i-1 here in MathCad. Tn is calculated in scenario I used i-1 vector subscript but it seems doesn't work I really appreciate if you can help me to take a look this. Thank you so much!

Hello everyone,  In scenario 4, I got everything correctly. However, when I tried to graph the plot. There were an issue with "too many range variables".    I read some posts that recommend to change the number of points. However, it was invisible to click on. Hi everyone, I did this project on Matlab so I'm not sure how it should be at MathCAD. I have 1 condition   Td(t) = if(t<theta,To,T*(t-theta).   My professor got the result from MathCAD, I'm not sure how do we use if function here?   I also attached the file in this post, the issue was occur at scenario 3.   Thank you so much again,  

Hello Dear Friends,What are your reasons for which do you want to stay with Mathcad and not to migrate to other mathematics software (like Matlab, Maple, Wolfram Mathematica, etc)?How do you feel when you are aware that another mathematics software offers or has more facilities in many things than Mathcad?I think you've been with Mathcad for a long time, and therefore if you want to switch to other math software, the learning curve for that software isn't that easy (due to the fact that math software has generally evolved a lot, it is very complex in nowadays) .. and then there is this restraint for Mathcad.. because do you know a lot of things of "how to do" in this software.What are your opinions?Thank you.Best regards.

Hi all, I am trying to read several .dat files from a certain folder by specifying the path in Mathcad 15. I wonder if there is any script function to do that instead of inserting all the files one by one?

Hi!I'm trying to write a small program that calculates a new force for each increment. Each force will calculate the von mises stress at different angles . Edit:My desired output is the force (for each increment), von mises stress and corresponding angle just before the yield criterion.  (see file)Not sure how to finish off my program. Hello everyone, This is my first time ever using MathCAD. I have no ideas but watching some video help me to create this sheet. I got the error unit of Cp (heat capacity) = BTU/lb*F. MathCAD error is value should be scalar or matrix.   I also set up the ODE function. Would you please help me to take a look this and guide me where I was wrong?   Thank you so much for your help. Hello everybody,I am working on a project where I need to convert some files with the extension .mcd to .mcdxI have downloaded  Mathcad 15 M030 and Mathcad prime 3.1 for this purpose and managed to convert some files while others fails due to "unexpected error".I tried to open the failed files with Mathcad 15  to look for any hints but the files could not be opened. I should mention that these files are a bit old, created in 2003.Could it be that they where created in an older version and includes something that Mathcad 15 do not recognize?Maybe someone else have encountered a similar problem before and have some idea of how to solve it?Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance,Hassan

I want to write content like this to a text file:ZZ4.VALUE ".PARAM Imax = 110"with the numeric value contained in a Mathcad variable. I manage to generate the string with the format function, but when I write it to the text file with the writetxt function, I have characters " which are written at the beginning and at the end. Also, if I try to add a character " in the middle, I have this character twice:"ZZ4.VALUE" ".PARAM Imax = 110" ""How can I do ?
