Mathcad

Hello Dear Friends,What are your reasons for which do you want to stay with Mathcad and not to migrate to other mathematics software (like Matlab, Maple, Wolfram Mathematica, etc)?How do you feel when you are aware that another mathematics software offers or has more facilities in many things than Mathcad?I think you've been with Mathcad for a long time, and therefore if you want to switch to other math software, the learning curve for that software isn't that easy (due to the fact that math software has generally evolved a lot, it is very complex in nowadays) .. and then there is this restraint for Mathcad.. because do you know a lot of things of "how to do" in this software.What are your opinions?Thank you.Best regards.

Hi all, I am trying to read several .dat files from a certain folder by specifying the path in Mathcad 15. I wonder if there is any script function to do that instead of inserting all the files one by one?

Hi!I'm trying to write a small program that calculates a new force for each increment. Each force will calculate the von mises stress at different angles . Edit:My desired output is the force (for each increment), von mises stress and corresponding angle just before the yield criterion.  (see file)Not sure how to finish off my program. Hello everyone, This is my first time ever using MathCAD. I have no ideas but watching some video help me to create this sheet. I got the error unit of Cp (heat capacity) = BTU/lb*F. MathCAD error is value should be scalar or matrix.   I also set up the ODE function. Would you please help me to take a look this and guide me where I was wrong?   Thank you so much for your help. Hello everybody,I am working on a project where I need to convert some files with the extension .mcd to .mcdxI have downloaded  Mathcad 15 M030 and Mathcad prime 3.1 for this purpose and managed to convert some files while others fails due to "unexpected error".I tried to open the failed files with Mathcad 15  to look for any hints but the files could not be opened. I should mention that these files are a bit old, created in 2003.Could it be that they where created in an older version and includes something that Mathcad 15 do not recognize?Maybe someone else have encountered a similar problem before and have some idea of how to solve it?Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance,Hassan

I want to write content like this to a text file:ZZ4.VALUE ".PARAM Imax = 110"with the numeric value contained in a Mathcad variable. I manage to generate the string with the format function, but when I write it to the text file with the writetxt function, I have characters " which are written at the beginning and at the end. Also, if I try to add a character " in the middle, I have this character twice:"ZZ4.VALUE" ".PARAM Imax = 110" ""How can I do ?

Acquire new license

Due to the defect of my old computer, i purchased a new one but i struggle to find a valid download link for the Mathcad Prime 4.0 Student version to install it. The help guide and download link inside the email i received after purchase is not working anymore. Where can i find the download now? Kind Regards Jonas Sebastian

Just haven't figured out how to transfer license from one PC to another PC

It seems I am prone to running into errors. Would this be an error I am causing myself or a limitation on mathcad with Differential equations? Here's what it is showing on my version and language in case it shows up different.

Hello,   There is a function that can solve SYMBOLICALLY a differential equation and a system of differential equations automatically in Mathcad?   Or at least, how can I solve SYMBOLICALLY a differential equation or a system of differential equations (automatically) in Mathcad? But without using manually Laplace Transform for each term or Odesolve(-numeric/graphic), but rather something automatically...if exist...   Thank you.

Mathcad Prime 6.0 xmcd, mcd converter fails to covert files created with Mathcad 14.

What would cause the "watertemp" not to graph? I implemented the same steps for I(t) as I did with Ta but the water temp on the graph remains a straight line.

What causes a vanishing_step_size error? I've tried searching the forums and through PTC support with no luck. I am receiving the error when trying to use Odesolve in the solve block.
