how to solve correctly?

It is the continue of this question SI and cm-gm: sec problem with units At us in Russia discussions on what system of measurements the textbooks on physics for schoolboys and students should be based do not cease!Some say that the SI is a standard (the law) and one must do everything.Others argue that the SI created idiots, who were expelled from universities for academic failure in vain time. The system SGS created ин genius Gauss! I cannot get J or erg in SI. No problem in cm-gm-sec units system. Same with Prime! Why?

Hello folks,   does anybody have a SDF file converter or a function that does the trick? I'd like to read in directly SDF files in order to avoid the smug references of colleague who's converting it with a matlab routine 😉 I'm using MC15 w050 on a win 7, 62 byte machine.   Raiko

Hi! Did not find any question about is it possible to nicely (scientific, engineering) formatting not only the result but values in equations with explicit. I am using Mathcad to reporting my homework, so my professor should check it. Results are formated as scientific like 5.5x10^6. But when I using that value in equation w/ expicit it is looks like 5.4999999999999995E-05.  My professor rejected to check my work with this formatting in equations. It is unreadable and one value could take half of page. Sadness. As far as I googled it is impossible to format with explicit. Do you know any other CAD software which does not have this issues? Thank you!

I am looking for help solving a system of equations for multi-effect evaporation on Mathcad. I am relatively in experienced and despite trying for hours and being successful solving simpler equations I have been unable to solve this problem.   Mathcad is reporting an error with the solve box and I am unsure what I need to do to make this work. I've attached the mathcad file I'm trying to solve and appreciate any help.

Hi all.   For Mathcad Prime, a certified Windows 10 version has been available for some time, and for Mathcad 15 a Windows 10 certified version has just been released, perfect. But unfortunately none of the two will be able to fetch a FlexNet (floating) license over the 'new' Windows 10 DirectAcces VPN (IPV6). We are currently using the Citrix VPN for our Windows 7 platform where the FlexNet licensing works ok. On the Windows 10 platform DirectAccess will be replacing the Citrix VPN. Does anyone know of any kind of solution, and hopefully a new release for Mathcad (Prime) will in the near future be able to fetch a floating license over the DirectAccess VPN connection?   Regards Christian

Hey! Im having big problems with the addition. In the first picture you can se how 1/alpha is added to 2/lambda without 1/alhpa being under the division. This is my problem I'm trying to recreate it but nothing works. The second Picture is how i manage.

I tried to solve an equation symbolically. I dont know why it doesnt work. The solution must be simple, same as the numerical one with one extra unknown. Can someone please take a look. I tried different methods.

I'm a structural engineer just getting into Mathcad and I see that they offer some premade worksheets for purchase.  The Civil & Structural package is listed at $200.  Has anyone used these or have an opinion of them.  I'd like to see some sheets to see how Mathcad can be applied.  Right now I am using the very basic features and I'm familiar with Excel so that's how I'm approaching my worksheets.  I'm sure I could learn quite a bit from seeing other sheets/approaches, but if the sheets are all out of date like the ones that are availible for free I think I'll pass.   Anyone have an opinion?

Hi everyone! I am trying to find a better solution (working for many more "boxes") for the problem exemplified in the attachment. I have a list of "boxes", defined in a matrix of X,Y,Z coordinates.  I would like to get a 3D representation of the boxes. What I have attached works, of course, but it would be much better if one could represent the "walls" of the boxes, without all the points inside.  Is this too much for MathCAD?  what do you think? I am trying to solve a cubic equation for the unknown X, but one of the input parameters is a vector. I tried to solve symbolically and then substitute the vector but something doesn't seem right. Then i tried to program a function that solves it for every value of the vector input, but since the result contains 3 solutions, it doesn't work. I hope you will be able to find a solution. Thank you in advance. P.S. The file is uploaded 

I could not solve a simple problem (the radius of the ball) by the method of scientific poking (see please Trial and error). I decided that one bug got into my head. But I decided not to give up and converted the file into Mathcad Prime 4 (see please attachs). The bug was not in my head, but in Mathcad 15. What is this bug? Mathcad 15Mathcad Prime 4

Why am I not able to see the plot ? 

Hi everybody! what happen with my integration?. I generated a function f(y) and integrated it in it's step and the value match with the simply calculation. But when I integrated the function from begin to end in one step, the integrate shows a wrong value. The function plot is clear!   Is this a mystery?   Thank you everybody
