Mathcad

Hi,   We have created one CAD model in Creo parametric 3.0 and embedded one mathcad worksheet (mathcad prime 3.1). in this we have some inputs from creo to mathcad and some outputs from mathcad to creo.   So once we update input in creo parametric 3.0 we need to open mathcad file and click on Update input and then click on save and push. We want this process should be done automatically after regeneration of model.   So please can i let know, how we can update input parameter to mathcad and output from mathcad to creo automatically. (No need to open embedded worksheet, click on update input, click on save and push, close worksheet).   - Prashant Pandarkar

I have a problem with a solve block constructed in MC15. As long as I use a single input variable A the sheet works fine. However if I want to calculate the values for a changing chamber length it does not work. I assume it is something simple but I do not "see" it at this moment. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Folks,   This is just a follow up on an earlier question about downloading V15.  After a couple days of frustration, the problem in moving a license to a new computer, a PTC installation engineer got it installed.   The root cause seems to be that the Product Code I saw when I clicked 'About Mathcad' was not the one they needed.  Apparently, I was expected to know this and to go looking for a different one on an old email from PTC.   The installation engineer, who was very helpful, said the best way for me to get this information to PTC was through the Community.  Not sure why PTC is trying to make that my job, but I promised that I would make the post, so here it is.

Hello I have asked help for a computation sheet to compute settlements below a group of point loads and I have received very useful help from the forum, but I have now faced another problem while making the computation sheet.   The program should compute the distances R between all load points and all calculation points at all depths. I have been able to make the program to compute the stresses below the first loading point, but I have not been able to compute the stress below n-points. The problem is that don't know how to form the 3D matrix with the two 2D matrixes.   As attached is the computation for the first load point, and my initial try for all 4 points.   Thanks again for your help.

... Hello!  A problem has arisen. Yesterday I added a language to my microsoft word 2010. Everything seemed ok. But when I launched mathcad 15 the keyboard layout changed. That is, there is no longer any correspondence between keys and commands, for example if I click on control +, instead of the = ,I get the while etc. ...Can any of you tell me what to do? I'm sure the thing is simple. Thank you very much MF

Hi all! I think that....Prime is a toad we must swallow................but it is much better to use mathcad 15!

I need to convert some old .mcd files that I created with Mathcad 2000i about 15 years ago, but I do not have access to any version of Mathcad other than the current Mathcad Prime Express.   The conversion utility that comes with Mathcad Prime will not recognize this format, and requires that you use Mathcad 15 to convert them. I cannot find any way to obtain Mathcad 15.   I would like to send the files to someone here who can perform the conversion for me, if they would be so kind.

Sorry, I cannot find the formula for a volume of a part of the right circle cone (a small part or a large one). The plane is vertical (one branch of hyperbola in the section). V(r, h, H) := ???  

I am trying to open a worksheet created circa 2003, the file extension is MCD. However Prime does not seem able to open it. I was able to open these files with 15, which I now no longer have access to. Any suggestions?

Hi! I`m new to mathcad and I couldn`t find any solution for my problem in the internet and here.  I`ve attached a picture with my problem, where  I`ve solved an equation and couldn`t define  a  solved variable(marked in green) so it will be used in the next equations (I needed to define it manually).   Tnx for the help in advance!   P.S. I`m using mathCAD Prime 4.0

Hello, I am trying to invert a matrix to solve F=K*U in an FEA problem where F and K are known. On paper this is solved by K^-1*F=U   All the units in K keep their same order of magnitude, which I believe is incorrect. Multiple online calculators for inversing matrices give several very different answers so I no longer know what to believe.   My final answer for U is around 10^20 orders of magnitude higher that the expected value as shown below. U values should be a 10^-3*m and 10^-1*rad or less.   I have attached the files as both pdf and mathcad prime express 4.0.   Please let me know what I am doing wrong.  

I would like to generate 2D curves in MathCAD that can be integrated into a 2D sketch in Solidworks for extrusions or extruded cuts. I would also like to generate 3D vectored formulas in MathCAD that can be projected onto a surface sketch in SolidWorks for extrusions or extruded cuts.

Hello. I really need help. Can somebody tell or show me, how to sort data from matrix (10x10) into one row from smallest number to largest? Or how to calculate frequency from this matrix into a row? I was looking information for hours, tried to sort data with excel, and tried to use sort function  in mathcad but that didin't work... 

Hi From MC15 help: 3D Plot Format Dialog Box (Appearance Tab) If there is more than one plot in the graph, these options are specific to each plot. Each plot can be filled with its own color, have its own lines drawn, among other options. The tabs labeled Plot 1, Plot 2, and so on, control the settings for individual plots. My question: How to assign one appearence to several plots inside one graph?

One of my math functions/formulas is too long, and it overflows into the next page. How do I make this one line formula into a two line formula, without breaking it up mathematically.

I am looking for a way to create a points file using a function that I can bring into a solid modeler that can be used to create a cam surface. As a simple example, for a circle, I would want an angle in the first column, an x coordinate R*sin(Theta) in the second column and a y coordinate R*cos(Theta) in the second column. I may want to add a fourth column with a function for the profile in the z direction. Thanks, Karl.

Hello All, I am trying to calculate the Fermi integral of the order of 1/2 and its derivative. In the attached worksheet, the integral cannot be evaluated for x>0. I used an approximated model as is given in the following article but the result is not similar to what the article obtained. Koroleva, Olga & V Mazhukin, A & Mazhukin, Vladimir & Breslavskiy, Pavel. Building a new Dell 7720 laptop to run everything from Mold Analysis, MathCAD, Bunkspeed, Keyshot etc. Already getting the NVidia M5000M GPU.   1. With Creo 4 starting to support multithreading is it now finally faster to go with Xeon? 2. Since I'll be turning off the onboard GPU that isn't a deciding factor for a CPU 3. Which do you guys recommend?? Leaning toward the E3-1535M V6 for the fastest clock.   Thanks!!!

Hi, Herewith, I have attached the problem (mcdx file) that I am having trouble with. I have a vector C with 105 elements in itI have another function x(y) with 'y' varying from 0 to 1 with a stepsize of 0.001 (Vector with 1000 elements in it) I want to find out which value of 'y' would give the resulting value of 'x' which matches the element in C. Therefore, I need to create a matrix M3 (105 Elements) with 'y' that was found out before for that particular value of C and x. For example The first element in C is 0.184. The y value 0.635  results in x = 0.184, matching C. So the first element of my M3 matrix is 0.635.Please refer to the attached MATHCAD file for the problem. Thank You!
