Every time I try to embed a excel sheet I get  An Unhandled exception occurred on the dispatcher thread. See C:\Programdata\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\Mathcad Prime_Exception_20151021_135622.log for more information. Prime will attempt to save any modified files and close. Please restart the application." Saw this mentioned for practically every version of Prime here, but no solution ?? Windows 10, Office 2016

Hi everybody, I am trying to use minerr for optimization of my function which has 13 parameters. The problem is that although my function and my data are sinusoidal, the Weibull fit gives me a line instead of a sinusoidal curve passing through the points. I wonder if somebody could take a look at it. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I have vector and I need to check each element with a condition and the resulting answer should be a vector with the corresponding values if condition is true or false. Problem: I have a vector called M' with 100 elements in it. I want to check the condition "If (M'<1)". If the condition is true it should assign a new vector Me with M' value in the corresponding position, If the condition is false it should assign 1 to the new vector Me for the corresponding position. I am getting an error stating that the value must be scalar. I have attached a picture for your reference

I am having a problem obtaining consistent symbolic evaluation.   Toy example in Prime 4.0 worksheet is attached.   Result seems dependent upon both order of multiplicative arguments to sin function and order of symbolic key words.   Not sure what I am missing?   Physical Mathematics      

Just yesterday, my Mathcad Prime 3.1 (free version) started acting up.  When I double click the icon or run from the start menu (Windows 8.1 shell mode) I see the "splash" logo for Prime but then it disappears and a main window never shows up. Also, nothing shows up in the taskbar.  If I go to the Task Manager, I see the program, even multipe copies if I keep double clicking the icon but no window and no icon in the taskbar.Has anyone seen this before?

Dear all,   I have a (example) table like this:       |  1  |   2  |  3  |  4 -------------------------- 5  |  11| 12 | 13 | 14 6  |  21| 22 | 23 | 24   Where the top row is A (values 1 to 4), the left column (values 5 and 6) is B and the field values (11 to 24) are Y. Now I want to find the value Y belonging to A=2,5 and B=5,5 using linear interpolation. Currently I have split the table into multiple small tables, one for each column, and then first create a new table for A=2,5 and then interpolate in that table to find the result for B=5,5. This however takes a lot if programming to create the table for A=2,5 (as we have to first indicate which two tables to use based on the value of A). Is there a direct way of doing this?   Thanks in advance for your replies.  

Hi,So firstly sorry I’m not at home so don’t have an example to show but what I’m after is integrating an area and performing multiple tasks between two limiting functions.I.e I have a function which I’m going to integrate underneath. this function is in terms of x. (A line that increases up the y axis as x increases)Then I want to introduce two functions in terms of y ie vertical lines.I then want to integrate the area under the first line and between the second two. Any idea how I do this? FYI I use prime 3CheersA

Dear all,   in a design code a log-log graph is given from wich a value must be read using the known value of X. Now I have two issues:  - how to convert this drawn graph into something mathcad can work with? Getting values from a log-log graph by hand is inaccurate, so I want to use as little hand-picked values as possible to get mathcad to work with. My idea is to make a table of X and Y values and let mathcad determine a formula for this and plot this in a graph to see if it looks like/fits the graph in the design code. But how to do this?  - Secondly mathcad needs to use this info/graph to determine the value of Y from this graph. How can this best be done?   Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi   I'm trying to make settlement evaluations below a group of point loads.   For this evaluation, I need to form a depth matrix with n-columns (number of calculation points) and m-rows (number of calculation depths), with the value of depth in each matrix element. In this matrix the depth should increase with by step length to each following row.   My try is as attached, but I didn't get this work.   Thank you for help in advance.

Hi everybody,   my question is about, how can I programming a loop for a list of values in a 3d function. I'll try to explain myself. I have a 3d surface equation and it works fine with a single values like this: but I want to repeat the calculation in a loop for a pair of list of values, something like this: What I'm doing wrong?. Mathcad reports "This variable is undefined. Check that the label is set correctly". Any idea? Thanks and congratulations.   Note: equations was obtained from thread "T-stub method" in this forum. I plan to be on November 18 in Kepler's hometown. I want to offer the Kepler Museum in this city an original wall clock for installation on the building or in the hall.Here is a model of these clock with the solution of differential equations with a test for Kepler's second law. Hi All,   I am wondering how to intercept two points and by this I mean I want to know the x, y ordinates when two plots cross. I know how to do this using a solve block with for example two polyfits or similar. However, if I am dealing with very simple lines like a straight lines which rely only on simple x, y ordinates as in the attached, What is the best approach to this?   Thanks,   Andy.

Hi! I'm new to solving PDE in Mathcad but I need to solve heat transfer equation in the form as specified in the file. I thought that should be easy to use built-in function Pdesolve, but I guess I was wrong, cause I keep gettin some error messages.  Anh elp will be appreciated. (I guess the problem is with he boundary condition, but maybe there are more)

Hello   I have a problem calculating with units in Mathcad Prime 4.0 When using the solver with units, it often gives the error "This value must be a scalar or a matrix" but it seems to solve just fine, with small modifications. As you can see, it solves the problem, but when i put an equal sign afterwards it gives the error.When i copy the result and pase it (underneath the error) and put an equal sign, the same thing happens, but if i delete the last "min" in the down right corner, and replace it by writing "min" it gives the solution, which here is 56.249 bar.   Why doesn't it solve in the first place? I delete a min and replace it with a min, and that solves it??     I have another questing, that might be related to the first problem. As you can see it doesn't solve with b in degrees celcius, same error "This value must be a scalar or a matrix"  then when i define d as the same 5 deg. celcius, but add an equal sign afterwards it allows to solve, why can't

Hi!I have some trouble getting a equation work properly and wonder if someone here are able to help me?So the problem is that x is a length in meters, but if i add it in to the equation it cant give any solutions to the ones in the green box. Hello everyoneI have a table (Data) that contains a large number of rows in which values of X and Y are found.What I'm trying to do is get the angles between the vectors that form these points and I do not know if it is possible to do this calculation.To better understand what I want, I have attached an example of what I want to do automatically, because in order to get what I want first, I must draw these vectors and measure those angles manually and it takes a long time.In advance thanks for the help

Hello all,   I am trying to create a spreadsheet in Mathcad 4.0  to calculate a station and offset on a horizontal curve (my TGL/center of roadway). The issue I am having is the line that intersects (my centerline of bearings) has a skew to the horizontal curve. All of the definitions of the horizontal curve are known (i.e. radius, delta, the degree of curvature, length, etc.) along with the skew and offset. See the image below for the point consideration on the horizontal curve.       If my centerline was perpendicular to the horizontal curve then the geometry is simple; however, since the line is skewed, I always have two unknowns in my equations. I am wondering if anyone can help with my problem?   Thanks,   Matt

Hi all. I've implemented a model that needs 13 inputs parameters to work.  Now, I am trying to change these 13 input parameters to get simulation results of this model close to experimental results. Actually, I need to play with these 13 parameters so as the simulation results and experimental results fit (a really hard work by hand). I don't know what should I do? I wonder if somebody can give me some advice. Is there any calibration or modification function and/or software that I can use for this purpose? best,      Physical Mathematics

The READEXCEL command on mathcad prime 4.0 will not transfer over my units in excel. How do I make it read my units or how can I add units?
