Mathcad

hello,i have problems using Mathcad 14 on different workstations in our company: when i open a mathcad file on a certain Workstation, which is created on aother Workstation, the page setup seems to be somehow different. the pages are larger or at least wider, although it is showing the same size on the ruler (DIN A4). Additionally it seems like the paragraphs and especially the pictures have been pushed together vertically. so they are partially located on top of each other. all the other work stations in our Company work fine, except this one. i guess it has something to do with the page or printer Settings. hopefully someone can help me.best regards and thanks in advance,Stefan

Been using Mathcad for 8 years.  First version 13 and now 14.  Throughout the  years, I have had a problem with the software....sometime when I print, it would "short sheet" me, i.e., it would make one or two sheet divisions shorter than all the others which meant I would have to rearrange every sheet, leaving out the short sheeted sheet.  Something different happened today that is similar, but it went in the opposite direction, it made all the sheets longer than normal.  I should have posted this a long time ago, but I have grown weary after this "new" issue today.  Has anyone ever had this problem and do you know how to keep it from happening.Thanks

what i want to do is making a loop, which can do an iteration work automatically.In this function, i put the initial valueand by using an Minerr optimization, it gives final values(which i defined as Newvalue)and what i need to do is iteration workso reusing this Newvalue as an initial value.for example, if i put n=3, it should mean it iterate 3 timesfor that i tried using an While loop.but i think this is not right..because it gives same result eventhough i put different value of n.can you help me with this problem?

Hi,I am trying to write a simple command to create a matrix with two columns one of which would display a value of the governing shear force and the other with text (as in the screen below). Hey guys, sorry in advanced if this is an ongoing discussion here, I tried hard to find something similar but I couldn't.My problem is: I already have an mathcad file doing all the calculation i need with the necessary inputs as thickness, width, etc. I would like to be able to change these inputs using values from an excel spreadsheet.I already figured it out how to do using the SetValue function on VBA, but the problem is that once I close the mathcad, this modification is gone. I read somewhere that this kind of manipulation is only possible changing the XML file, is that correct? Do you guys know if there is a different and simple solution for the MathCad 15?Thanks in advance!Denis.

Hi, In Mathcad 15 the attached commands dont cause error but it seems Mathcad Prime 3.0 flags error. Any idea about why is it giving error on Prime 3.0?

Hi all, I have a simple example attached regarding my question. If I have a variable, which depends on the input condition. Can I set the text color or highlight of the output, to represent different input conditions? In this example, if my output displays "RIGHT", I want to set it to green; likewise, if the output is "WRONG", I want to set the text to red. Would anyone teach me how to do it? Thank you!

Hi..As when i used Mathcad 15 there is separate mathcad libraries for Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil etc are available.But i am not able to get it in Prime 2.0 so please can you suggest how to install libraries.Regards,Prashant Pandarkar

I found an (old) pdf file on the web that uses a 4 parameter logistic fit for immunoassay. Unfortunately I must be overlooking something as it does not work in MC15. Are there more elegant ways to do this 4 parameter logistic fit?Thanks in advance

hi all,i'm trying to insert an image into a prime 2 worksheet.  i can copy/paste it or use the "insert image region"  tool then browse to it.  many different formats show up in the sheet properly (jpg, png, bmp, tif, gif) but when i try to save, i get an error. how do i get na image into the sheet?

Hi, for some odd reason Mathcad 15 is not pulling from the "enx array" despite that array having values in these indicies.  Is it because the derivative? Anyway I can fix this?Thanks

hi all, i'm using prime 2.  when i smooth some data with the movavg function, the resulting data is offset by the size of the smoothing window.  in fact, even the helpcenter example on using moving average to smooth data shows this resulting offset!  but with no comment.  attached.is this a bug or am i using movavg wrong?

I just installed Mathcad 15 and I also bought Roarks worksheets from PTC installed in my computer. But all XMCD files in folder shown as Adobe , i can't open them when I click them, and I only open them in Mathcad 15 environment. We have purchase matchcad v15 few years ago. The supplier send us the following guide last time with the host id. We are trying to transfer it to a new pc now but it says host id doesn't match.First, you need to unzip the license.txt file and save into a folder as Mathcad 15. ( You can use the Mathcad 15 CD to install.  ) Prior to installation, client ensure the pre requisite of MSFramework .net is install in the computer. It is a free software from MS site if they dont have. Upon installation, please click on Mathcad Icon. It will ask you to choose license. It is NODE Locked. I am using Odesolve to solve a system of ODE's with a boxcar forcing function that starts at 1 goes to 10 and and I would like to return to 1. If I set the return value at 1.5, everything is fine. I I reduce it to, say, 1.2 I get the (to me, cryptic) error "The return value of this function must match the problem size."  (see attached worksheet). Can someone help me out.

Hi,I open a document and all the images inserted are showing under the text, not where they were originally inserted. All my colleagues dont have that issue when they open the same document !?Michel
