To community:The attached worksheet shows two programs. The one on the left shows one way of repeating a calculation that works and accomplishes what it is supposed to do.The one on the right is an attempt to0 do the same by iterating the calculations but only goes into a recursive mode.Would like help in the proper programming procedure.Thanks for any helpDick.....

Hi All,All my files had been made using Mathcad 3.1 but at the moment I need to open them on a machine which has  Mathcad 3.0 installed and it doesn't have the option of the converter application. can anyone please help me to resolve this?thank you 

Dear All,I would like to receive clarifications about the solution of a nonlinear system through the use of a solve block Given/Find. In the attachment it is reported the  system that make use of the symbolic derivative operators ( EOS isothermal inflection point- critical conditions ) . The solution converges only up to a certain value of the input parameter ( epsaa, Vaa ).  Any suggestion how to solve this issue?Your sincerely,Massimiliano

Hi, everyone,Is there a way to find the value of lambda using the eigenvals function in Mathcad?What have I done wrong such that it cannot return to the numerical solution such as the polyroots results?For this simple question, the polyroots function is acceptable,but I assume using the eigenvals be more convenience when there are much bigger matrix that needs programming. BTW, is there any recommendations for the method to use, when say there is a N Degree of Freedom vibration system, that N is the input of a function, that returns to the eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Is the built in Eigenvals function convenient to use?Thank you!Shawn

Hi,I am calculating COG of a stack of 9 elements. I want to create a 9x1 matrix where the first row contains cog of all element above element 1, row 2 contains cog of all elements above element 2 - and so on. I have solved this by making a 9x1 matrix and putting in the cog formula in every single cell. I do not like this because it takes up so much space and it looks quite bad. Is there a way of telling Mathcad that "i" should increase by 1 in each row such that my expression can be expressed in 1 line? Or is there another neater way of achieving the same goal?Another thing could be that Mathcad will only show row 1 to 9, and that the other ones will be visible when I edit that matrix, but I can't find an option for that either.

In the Differentiation and Integration of Data Vectors quicksheet, when the function fit(x) is plotted using the variable f(z) versus z, z hasn't yet been defined. When I duplicated the quicksheet in a blank worksheet, I expected my plot to fail because I hadn't defined z. Wrong. It plotted but not the same range as the quicksheet. What is z in this quicksheet and how do you control it's min, maximum and increment between data points?

Hallo zusammen, beim Arbeiten mit Prime 3.1 ist bei mir wieder einmal eine Frage aufgetreten. Eine kurze Beschreibung was ich machen möchte:Ich möchte alle Schnittpunkte von 2 Ellipsen berechnen und zwar mit dem symbolischen Schlüsselwort "solve".Ich habe nun die Gleichung aufgestellt, gleichgesetzt -> zunächst nach dem 1.Parameter x aufgelöst -> das Ergebnis in die Gleichung eingesetzt und möchte nun nach y auflösen (siehe auch angehängtes Mathcad-File). Wenn ich die Gleichung nach y symbolisch auflösen möchte, dann beginnt Mathcad zu rechnen, rechnen, rechnen.... und kommt zu keinem symbolischen Ergebnis.Meine nächste Idee war die Schnittpunkte nicht allgemein zu berechnen, sondern die Parameter der Ellipsengleichungen vorher zu definieren (also x1, x2, y1,y2 usw.) und dann nach y aufzulösen. Das funktioniert sehr gut (siehe Mathcad-File) -> ich bekomme alle Schnittpunkte heraus. Jetzt ist es aber so, dass ich nicht nur 2 Ellipsen schneiden möchte, sondern 20 oder mehr hinte

How do i leave out part of a sinus curve? How do i write it if, i were supposed to leave out the first 45° of this. I have MathCad 14.

Hello:  I find it odd that Bessel functions and other complex topics are on the Functions Tab, but Trig functions aren't.  You have to click around to get to sin().  I looked in the help section, but I cannot find how to modify what I would term the "Toolbars".  Anybody know how to do this?ThanksLS

HiI'm trying to use list boxes in a document, but I'm not able to find any proper guides to scripting. What I'd like to do is controlling the list items from the output of another list box. Da die nicht unter Windows 8 laufen, bin ich umgestiegen auf MathCAD Prime 3.1.
