I recently purchased mathcad prime 3.0 and was wondering how to define the units on the independent variable of a function with out defining a specific number for the variable. For example,if I had the function f(x)=x^2, and I wanted x to be in seconds, how would I tell that to mathcad? Thanks
Hello,i am trying to plot this surface, but it is not showing. not sure what i am doing wrong. Thank you!
hiI want convert a file of mathcad15 to prime , but i have not mathcad15 in my pc and i couldn't instal mathcad15 in my pc .How can i see the program ?can someone convert this program to prime for me ?
Is below too simple for Mathcad? I'm using Prime 2.0. What am I doing wrong? Kind regards,Michael
I am trying to create an interaction diagram for a circular concrete column. This is based off of an Excel spreadsheet that is currently being used and I am trying to convert that into a Mathcad spreadsheet. in the Excel spreadsheet the vertical load strenght and moment strength were found using the what-if function. The Excel spreadsheet solves for the total vertical load strength by adding the vertical load strength of the concrete (Pconc) and the vertical load strength of the steel (Pst) as is the same for the total moment Mn = Mconc + Mst. for Pst and Mst I am using the Range of Variable Summation to sum the values in a Range (obviously). The summation comes up with the right value, but I need this to be converted back into a range as it is dependent on the value c. That is pretty confusing so I will give an example. c is a range of values. the first value of c is 0 which gives me a sum(Mst) = 8.05 * 15^-15 but I need the sum(Mst) to change as c changes because It needs to be added
This is a lecture in Optimization given to a group of Mechanical Engineers, which was coducted by me, upon a request to demonstrate Mathcad Prime 2.0 in solving Optimization. From the example given (Particle Swarm Optimization), it shows how simple to optimize the problem once the mathematical Model is formulated correctly.Though I am not a Mechanical Engineer but I do have a very good mathematical background. The results were remarkable with that given in the article and really it shows how powerful Mathcad Prime 2.0 is.
Dear colleagues, I`m not so experienced user and encountered with some problems with curve fitting functions (Genfit works but LeastSquaresFit does not - gives the error that data units are not compatible). Could you help if possible? I`m completely stucked. Thank you.
Can anyone help me figure out why my mathcad sheet won't solve? I tried inputting a guess value and solving with the Find function to no avail.
Hi, I have a 3d plot on an rectangle range within x-y, I want to have a 2d slice view of the diagonal. Is there a way to achieve this ?
Hi, everyone,The function I am going to plot has two sets within the range x:(0,1) and y: (0,1),when the square is split into two triangular. But the loop I write only plot the latter set that I wrote. So how to plot both of them?Looking forward to hear from you!BestShawn
hello folks, when right clicking on a textbox one can chose on the fonts tab a text effect called "underline". I'd like to access and control this via a program. However, this method is not listed in the developers reference the Textbox Format Properties. Does anybody know whether this can be accessed by some other property or method? Thanks in advanceRaikoP.S.It goes without saying that I'm using MC15
Hello!i have some problems with the calculation of slope. In my calculation I would like to define the slope in %, and calculate in the furhter sheet with the correct result in degrees (e.g. 100% slope should be 45°).But my problem is, If I define:slope:=100%and try to change in the next step to get the result with unit ° or deg, but i get:slope=57.296°Is there anyone who knows the problem and the solution for this topic? Many thanks in advance!Paul
Does anyone like Prime 3.1? Does it offer any benefit over MC14?Thanks

Anyone tried out the Dell Performance Optimizer?Dell is very secretive about what it actually does - you won't find details in any of the documentation or the software. The Creo profile, for example, disables hyperthreading (good) and disables 2 CPU cores (bad if you're also a Mechanica, Ansys, etc. user). There are some other things it says it does for Creo but it uses fancy language without actually telling you what it is changing. They say you can have multiple profiles active. I have no idea how it manages conflicts (e.g. Creo disables HT and 2 cores, while Adobe Creative Suite probably activates HT and all 4 cores) because someoptimizations conflict andcan't bechanged without rebooting. They don't have profiles for Mechanica, Ansys, Mathcad, etc. There's no way for you to create your own profile.Maybe it makes sense if you're a single application user. But people who are trying to tweak an extra few percent out of their machine probably know what to change anynow. If you use a CPU-i
I have created a sheet and come to the end where I now need some help with a routine I believe. I have a thickness variable titled t.g and the corresponding Performance Ratios shown next to those thicknesses. The columns represent the grades of steel I am using. Now i need a routine to look through all three matrices and find the first instance of when all three have a value of 1.0 or greater. When that occurs I would like it to output what thickness and what grade of steel that corresponds to. Attached is my sheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I'm trying to practice using the Find function, and using a workaround with units.Pls. see attached. The units are working but the answer it found is wrong. "Io" is supposed to be 4.
Does MathCAD Prime 3.0 come with MathCAD 15? I can't seem to find this information anywhere on the PTC website.
HiIs it possible to have results to change color depending on the resulting value? As attached is a sheet describing the question. Thanks for help.
I have a series of equations to solve with range variables but I get a "This variable is undefined." error when using the Given/Find solve boxI have attached the Test worksheet and the original worksheet that demonstrates it works for a single variable
