I am a professor and use Prime 3.0 in my classes. Yesterday a student downloaded and installed Prime 3.1 on personal laptop. He now cannot open Prime 3.1 files on our lab computers at version 3.0. Please tell me this is not the case?! How can changing from 3.0 to 3.1 cause file compatibility issues? I thought these were upgrades were reserved for bug fixes and minor upgrades, not major overhauls. Is there any way to get the file to go back in version? I know I could upgrade my lab computers as we are under maintenance contract, but updating software during and academic year is problematic at best. Any options would be appreciated. Thanks,Jeff Beltramo
I'm getting an undefined variable error when trying to plot a pair of functions to draw a circle.I can however get the individual expressions to plot if I don't use them as part of a functionso Mathcad is able to access all the values.I'm guessing it has something to do with the way I've used them in the functions.I have rearranged them a couple of different ways and it will change which variableit sees as undefined but that is all.I know there are other ways to draw a circle in Mathcad but this one has it charms forwhat will be included in the worksheet later.Thanks.
I think that all equations f(x) = 0 can be re-written as x = g(x).If x0 is a root (unknown) and x01 some approximation of the root, sometimes we can obtain a better approximation of the root by repeated substitution, such as :x02 = g(x01), where x02 is closer to x0 than x01 ;x03 = g(x02) or = g(g(x01), where x03 is closer to x0 than x02.Is that true for any function f (or g) ? Does someone know the proof or a book with it ?Probably the answer is obvious ... .I saw something about in an old book of algebra with polynomials, but I find it no more...Thank you ! Liv.
Suppose I define a custom function foo with parameters (A,B,C,D) but I want to give the user the option of calling it with only A and B and handling the absence of C and D gracefully in some way. Is it possible to write a test that checks to see if C and D are specified, or will the call return an error in any case where all parameters are not given?
in MathCAD Prime 2.0 How do you wrap text on a long equation that runs off the paper?
Please find attached the description of a bad result found by my colleague working with mathcad.Does anyone have an explanation or solution to this issue?Best RegardsDiego Signoretti
Excuse my language but I can't think of anything to say except : LOL.
Hi,I have a chunky (21 Mb) Mathcad file that has got slower and slower and now is just hanging. It does not register as 'not responding', I can scroll, but cannot click into the screen, and the sheet is not re-calculating. I was mid save, and had about 1 hour work that was not previously saved. I would rather not lose it.Any ideas?ThanksFrank
Hi everyone,Are there any example sheets for the calculation of force and moments for the multilayered structures using intergration and differentiation equations?
I am trying to convert some v13 files to run under Prime 3.1. The xmcd, mcd icon is greyed out under the input/output tab?

Hello,I'm having a problem with defining parabola's function f(x) when a,b,c are unknown. I can solve a,b,c with given/find-procedure but I have no idea how could I make mathcad to give me the function included these now known a,b,c (something like: f(x) = 4x^2 +3x + 1)I attached my work so far so maybe it's easier for you to understand what I meant above.I would be very pleased if someone could help me out as soon as possible.Sincerely,Joni(btw I'm using mathcad 15)
不是因为没有开自动运算,但是就是不能自动运算,求助大家
I've buyed a single user verion of Mathcad Prime 3.1 with one year Support included. Maybe i will extend this contract until verion 4.0 is published. In the next three, four years it maybe that new hardware, especially a new pc will become required because the Hardware i'm using yet is five years old.Support contract.Must i have a support contract to change the host id of the license? If so, can i reactivate a support contract that has ended several years ago? Many thanks for any response.Best regards, J. Dessecker
Hi!Currently, I'm working in a people counting project. As a start, I want to make a program where given this image of a group of coins:one can authomaticaly count how many coins are there in the image. With some matrix manipulation, I've issolated the coin borders:And now I want to know if someone can help me in counting how many of these round blobs is there in my image. That is, the program that I want to create must tell me: "there is 10 objects in the image"Any ideas?thanks.

While trying to install Prime 3.1, the license pack generator asks to install Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 or higher. What is this and is it necessary to use Prime 3.1?
Hello all,I need to plot 20 traces to really represent my data clearly. Is there a simple way to increase the number of traces you can have on a single plot beyond 16?
I use mathcad program.I want to have "sys_r" graph.I try a below captured programming. But programming error occurred.programming error!Error is "This array index is invalid for this array."I don't know solution. Please help me.graph shape example !

I can find and replace 2 for example to space in Mathcad 15 (Ctrl+h) but cannot do it in Prime Is it a bug?
Dimensions of the selected copper trace are typed into Mathcad so that the propagation delay associated with a signal sent through the trace can be calculated. This will enable the Design Testers to verify the propagation delay is within the acceptable range as defined in the Design Requirements.
Dimensions of the selected copper trace are typed into Mathcad so that the impedance associated with a trace can be calculated.
Dimensions and geometry of the 2 selected copper traces are typed into Mathcad so that the cross talk associated with a signal sent through the traces can be calculated. This will enable the Design Testers to verify the cross talk is within the acceptable range as defined in the Design Requirements.
