Mathcad

I am sure that this question has been asked before but I have developed a program in MathCad Prime 3 that I would like to turn over to a programmer who works in MatcCad 15. The current plan is that he is going to add increased functionality to the program.I know that MathCad Prime 3 can upload MathCad 15 files but can MathCad Prime 3 files be converted back to MathCad 15 format?

I had been running Mathcad 11 on a XP machine. I would like to run it on a new laptop with a 64 bit windows 7 system. I tried various compatability modes with no success. The program seems to install but will not run. Is there a way to do this?

Will Mathcad 11 work with Windows 7?

Hello there,Listen, I'm try to use a 3D function to describe a path of an ant in a surface.The surface rotate at 2*pi/ sec and the ant walks in line from center to away 1 cm/s. The surface is a circle with 1m radius.After all parametrizations, i have problem to draw it. (you can see document attached)This is the function that indicates the position of the ant dependent on time:Then I CreateMesh and this came:From 0 to 50, it should draw a spiral with 50 lines, or I'm I wrong? And how can i chose Step size in CreateMesh?I want like t:=0, 1, 2, 3 .. 100. How can i do that on CreateMesh?Regards,L. L.

Hi I am fairly new to mathcad and I'm having a problem creating a graph of an equation, which describes the transient behaviour of the torque generated by a moter during a fault condition. The datasheet where the equation comes from states that the maximum value (-295.4) occurs at t=0.016s and so I have been able to check that the equation is giving the correct answer for a single value of t.I now want to create a graph of the function, but when I try to do so, I get an error stating "Plotting failed. Replace complex values and NaNs by real numbers".Can anyone tell me why this is going wrong? I have tried it with and without units; using t and t1 as the argument.ThanksKenMy Mathcad Prime 3 worksheet is attached.

I am new to mathcad and I am just starting to play with simple problems first to learn the necessary interactions with the program to achieve desired goals. I am working on a very simple problem that starts as seen below. Life_Expectancy:=10yrCyclesPerYear:=21900cycles Total_Cycles:=Life_Expectancy*CyclesPerYear= With this mathcad can not compute the Total Cycles and does not display cycles as a unit. I have highlighted cycles and changed it to units to no avail. I have also tried changing the term cycles to wipes and iteration but neither worked. What am I missing to make this simple problem work? Thank you

Hi,I was wondering if there was any way to use find given a set of differential equation. Here is a (simple) example : charge of an RC system.input voltage, and capacitor value are known. I want to find the resistor value such that, after a given time Tx, the capacitor voltage is Vx.Obviously, this example is simple enough to solve manually, but could this be applied to much more complex systems where manual solving is not an option.

I'm having an issue with the "Readexcel" command in Mathcad Prime 3.0. I have an Excel spreadsheet that contains several cells of data that I'm importing into my Mathcad worksheet. My problem is that once Mathcad reads the Excel file I can't enter a new value in the Excel sheet and get Mathcad to import it without deleting the existing readexcel input and reentering it. I've tried closing and reopening the document to no avail. Is there a way to get Mathcad to reevaluate the input without deleting it and starting over?The cells I'm reading are part of a larger Excel worksheet and it would be easier to leave it as it's own worksheet rather than an embedded object in Mathcad. Thanks in advance.

Using Mathcad Prime 3.0 is it possible to chanee the background color to white?Mostly I take screen captures of my equations to paste into word, since the Mathcad page color is not really white I have to go through paint to get it right.If its not a feature any chance something simple like this can get into a future release.

I tried to know by searching "google" and "PTC site".But I don't know well. Just, I saw two posting. one is said that "vector" couldn't integrate the other is said that "vector is possible to integrate"so I felt confused..I need help.

Hello All,My program, for some particular cases, spends too much time on a "genfit" function and finally stops calculation (regression doesn’t converge).Is there a way to ask the program, that if it couldn't find the answer within a time interval (or limited number of iterations), forget about the particular case and continue to the next case?

Hello,I was able to do this in 15 very easily, and that file is attached. However, I was unable to get the routine to work in Prime (unsurprisingly). As my university has removed the old mathcad program (and it will be dropped from support before long according to PTC) I was trying to atleast understand how to get the answer in Prime.I'm afraid the way in my earlier post of using a programming block didn't work as expected, and thus I'm unsure how to be able to get the maximum or minimum of an objective function in terms of varying parameters WITH constraints given that can over define the problem.

I would like to eliminate complex numbers from a vector yet hat includes both real and complex numbers.

I don't understand why the first moment of integration doesn't balance the beam.Anybody?

I have a question about the mathcad prime 3.0 I purchased. At the bottom it mentions the installation of mathcad 15 which I prefer to use. It says use the same product code that was given at the top but i already used it to download mathcad prime 3.0. Can I use both programs with the same code if i have already downloaded prime 3.0?
