Hello guys!I purchased a Matchad 15 student version and I just bought a new laptop to run analyses in parallel. I would need to use Matchad on either laptop at different time, i.e. Matchad would run on one machine only per session. The two laptops are on the same network and connected to internet through a single router. Is there any quick way to move the license from one machine to the other any time I want? Hi all,I am working on expanding the functionality of an old program to be able to perform an vector of cases for an already established vector. I have worked out all of the issues within the program to calculate each reasulting array/matrix. Now I want to compare results across the matrices using the max function. Previously I had used the augment function to combine vectors, but that isn't keeping the m,n combinations needed to be compared across the matrices at each m,n. Basically, I have x number of 11 x 7 matrices that I want the maximum value for each m,n combination reported in a resulting 11 x 7 matrix. I have inserted the image below the shows what I have described above. I want the maximum value for each m,n in this matrix for the X number of nested matrices. This example just shows 2 matrices are nested.I would greatly appreciate the help of the community. Hi!I recently just re-installed Mathcad 15 (student version/license) on my Windows 8.1 machine. Every time I start Mathcad 15 I get the dialog saying something to the effect that a license could not be found. So I go through the process every time of choosing to reaquire my licensce via internet from PTC...Does anyone know of a fix for this aggravating issue?Thanks,Pat

As part of a Mathcad sheet, I wish to include a short section on the derivation of an equation. This involves a definite integral.I can write the initial integral with limits, and can write the ultimate result of the integral. However, as a lot of the terms cancel out or evaluate to zero when the limits are applied, I would like to be able to state the symbolic result of the integration, but without the limits substituted in, as is usually denoted by square brackets with the sub and superscripts following for the limits. Is there a way to display this type of format in Mathcad? I can neither work out a way to force the square brackets to be displayed, nor add the required sub and superscripts.Thanks

Hello, from an appendix of a book publication I got some mcd files (year: 2004). Unfortunately, MathCad Prime 3.0 cannot open the files ("unknown format").How can I open those mcd files with MathCad prime 3? Is there a converter available ?ThanksKlaus

Hello everyone, I'm trying to square the the values in a non-square matrix in a function. In order to do this, I use the vectorize operator above the operation (squaring or multiplying the radii together). However, I'm getting an error in this step, which appears due to the definition of the function. I'm not able to determine the cause, as if I were to perform the operation on a copy of the matricies, it works just fine. Furthermore, I've used the operation in a fuction definition other places in the file.Thank you!

In the PTC product calendar (http://www.ptc.com/cs/product_calendar/PTC_Product_Calendar.htm#RANGE!A474) will be prompted to Mathcad Prime 3.1 F000. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Another new MathCAD user. Been mucking about with Prime for a while and able to find/work out most of the things I am looking for, but having trouble with 3D plots. In particular, I don't know where I am failing in moving a set of 2D plots into a surface within a 3D plot.There are two range variables I have defined (d and theta) and the output is gamma as a percentage. I have placed the problem in question on the last page (4/4), with a working 2D plot on the page before. Could someone please point me in the right direction?Thanks in advance!

Just started using MathCAD today, so I am very new to it. I am basically trying to solve a complicated equation (shaft diameter sizing) with a bunch of known variables in terms of 1 unknown variable. I want to have the answer in symbolic terms so I can use the same equation for different sized shaft calculations. How the heck do I do this? I have been looking at the help files and other posts for some time now and still am not any clearer. Please see the attached file for reference.Thanks in advance!Rob

I have attached a mathcad file (2015). I have problem with opening the file, when i try to open it, it says: "mathcad application has stopped working", and shut down. I dont know whats wrong with the file, but I dont have any problems with opnening other mathCad files. It is just this one. Are there someone who can help me?And can you tell me what I shall not do to end like this again?

Hi,The context for these questions is that I've recently finished the attached two tutorials, as well as the Mathcad Prime 1.0 Orientation and Working with units courses on PLMS4Schools. The attached two tutorials are exactly the kind of thing I want to use it for - to have my students use it as a scratchpad for doing physics and maths problems, and for writing up experiments, especially experiment data tables and plots. However, from the perspective of an upper high school physics and maths teacher, there are two significant inadequacies in this regard:Mathcad doesn't seem to have any feature that allows students to draw sketches "on the fly".So many physics and maths problems require diagrams other than plots - think free body diagrams, electrical circuits, impulse-momentum, vectors, etc. In fact, I've seen several examples in the PLMS4schools courses of exercises where the problem is explained using a sketch of the forces on a beam - so how are these sketches produced?Is the intenti
