Is there a way in Prime 3 to write partial differential equations?

Hello,after deinstalling a parallel Mathcad 14 installation and registering Mathcad to Net, the converter into Prime 2.0 works but all the OLE components have gone. What are the best options I have to be productive again with both Mathcad 15 and Prime 2.0.PS: I already have re-installed Mathcad 15 without any changes at all.PSS: I did find some hints towards using regall.bat, but this relates to Mathcad 8, what is the procedure with Mathcad 15many thanksbest regards

I have a fairly complex formula for I(q,x) and I want to tabulate the results with q values (1 - 5) as the columns and x values (1 to 5) as the rows. I've no doubt it's very easy, but I can't see how to do it.I apologize if I've posted this question to the wrong forum.

Hello all, I am a fairly new user of Mathcad. I have a question about utilizing units with the polyfit function. I have experimental data relating temperature pressure and density. I wrote a program which needs to look up the density as a function of pressure and temperature. The original data was in excel, it had several curves for a few temperatures as a function of pressure.The data was very linear and the curves were fairly parallel, so i took the linear regression curves from excel and brought them into mathcad. I then created a program which allowed me to choose a temperature, it would then choose the two curves which the chosen temperature was between and linearly interpolated between the two points. I got this program to work with units and is the top portion of the attached file. I thought there must be a better way, so I decided to try the polyfit function. I imported the test data and utilized the polyfit function to "fill in" the holes in my data and create a polynomial to

I am using an excel component with an output to define variables. The variables are then displayed in the worksheet. I am trying to define the units then and it keeps putting 1/m before the mm unit I am trying to specify.See below:What do I need to do in order to correct this?Thanks,Brad

Hello,I have a worksheet of about 1.3MB, of which a big part is a program (several pages of code). I have mathcad 15 running on Win7. I tried my laptop with Win7 and the the same happens: when making changes in worksheet (adding a line, editting text or function), I am facing very slow responsiveness. Sometimes I need to wait more than a minute for a single change of adding a letter! Nothing appears on the screen and suddenly a log of a couple of instrutions is done in a sec. I closed all open programs but that did not help. Is there any limitation on the size of the coded program?Any help will be appreciated.Hhussein

Hello there, Above all, I am the very biginner for Mathcad as well as programming. So please forgive me if my questions would be so basic or stupid. (i am trying. ;;;)Since I have several data to be selected by users, I've decided to use mathcad 15 than prime so that I can make full use of components. I am making a calculation worksheet with a number of back data and I want to know how to syncronize data, like. (refer to the attached also) I have 4 materials for moment having information of size 1&2, parameter 1&2. Some information is duplicated, some is not. Under this situation, I want to program like.. when I select material 1 in the 1st list box (or ribbon which is more favorable), the second list box (or so) shows only the applicable information. the third, forth and fifth.. accordingly. I'm doing some analysis which at the moment uses an averaged value inside an integral. It's part of a longer chain of calculation and reasoning about a system being designed. At the end I want to have an overall functional form for the performance, so I also undefine each numeric value, e.g. for the wavelength I define l:=l and then I have both symbolic evaluation and numeric evaluation.I also have a signal transmisson 's' integral that currently uses the mean attenuation for the whole of the signal path (i.e. it's assumed constant with range), so the symbolics will 'solve' the integral, rather than leaving the integral intact. Yet I know that we will want to have a functional form for the attenuation with range s(R), so realy I need to be able to retain that functional form, and let the numeric engine handle 'real data' calculation scenariosCan we undefine a function in mathcad? I'm wondering if anyone has any insight to this problem.I'm attempting to use the solve block to simulataneously solve for 3 unknowns using 3 equations. When I try, it returns a "These units are not compatible" error on the last variable of the find function. It doesn't matter which variable is in the last spot, it is always that one that is incorrect.I'm attaching a screenshot of the values. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I numerically integrated a non-linear two-point boundary layer problem using Mathcad 11 and Mathcad 15. The two give slightly different values with Mathcad 11 producing a more plausible result. Anyone knows the reason for the difference?

I have started a worksheet that will calculate many simultaneous equations at the same time. I have set everything up and all of my units work out when checked individually, but when I set the equations up to solve all at the same time then I am receiving an error claiming that my units are incorrect. I have attached the file for help. When I trace error it comes with saying that the problem exists with solving for "Q".
