Modeling

Usually drag the LISP file to the modeling work area，then the function command show in the toolbox.  But it show none in the toolbox when you do it in CEDM 19.0. I take the example  "Color Parts"  in the integration kit，and save as a LISP file to dray to the modeling work area. It's still failure.

At the beginning of useing Creo elements dircet modeling 19.0 was working well. But after a period of use, the Select (F2) command and preselect command cannot work,  and the space function key is also disabled. I don't know what the problem is.

Hi  Is any one knows 20.3 will has any what's new?? I need some specific contents about it Thank you~ 

I know that the newest version of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling has the ability to search text in cad. Does this allow the creation of PDFs with searchable text?   Thanks   Tom

Following LISP call throws exception for certain files.   (AM_VIEW_PROP :the_view viewPath :show_thread_lines :off :update_view)   viewPath is the actual path of the view i.e. sheetName/ViewName.   Intention is to turn off the display of thread lines for the view and we call it for all the views in the sheet.   What could be the reason?   PS> Ignore the smiley in the code above and read it as collonoff 🙂

Hello! I am trying to create a model of a reducing elbow (4 to 3). I have the straight ends of the elbow and I was hoping I could loft between the parts.  I followed the instructions per the PTC help, but when I try to create Matchlines, I get an error that says "The profile must be closed." So I can only assume that I am picking the wrong vertex? I cannot attach the pkg file I am working with, but I can send it to someone that thinks they can help. Can someone please help me? Maybe lofting is not the way to go, but it was the only method that I thought made sense! Thanks!

I got a problem with using the positioning function in creo elements direct.    When I use the positioning function, in the dynamic method, I am able to click on a face when the 3D co-pilot appears. In the past I was able to also do this with edges. Click the edge and a co-pilot would appeard so I was able to rotate a part around the edge, or move it along the edge.    Selecting the edge is now not possible anymore. I added my 'catch' settings screenshot, maybe there is a problem with that.    Someone knows what the problem can be or where I can find some 'snap' settings     

I use Creo Elements Direct 3D-access V18.1 on my notebook Acer spin 7 Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7Y75 with integrated Intel® HD Graphics 615Everything worked fine.Then came the Windows update to 1803.Windows update installed the graphics driver V23.20.16.4901.Creo Elements worked, but I had permanent bluescreens due to memory corruption by the graphics driver.Acer support recommended that I install the latest driver version 24.20.100.6025, which I did. Since then the notebook runs stable, but Creo elements doesn't work anymore. Hi,   I would like to clear my doubt about the text frame option available in dimension properties.   I would like to know whether the balloon frame which is shown as a closed circular frame is used for the reference dimensions in creo element direct modelling because in standard practice the frame for the reference dimension is of open circular brackets.   Thanks,   Regards, Anand

Search text and Search dimension should be available (and works !) in 3D & 2D Access, i think. That should be well in this products

I want to start Direct Modeling 19.0 M070 on a small Laptop with Intel UHD Graphics 620. Result: VP '1' is blocked and i get an sigsegv-Error. Is there any possiblity to start Modeling, most for viewing on the System. Are there any start-Options to let modeling know he has to work on an low-Level-Graphics-System?

Hello everyone,   I am experiencing an undesiderable behaviour in CEDM 18:   I start moving a face clinking on it, then click on the orange arrow, dragging mouse, on release I expect to see red and green arrows to specify relative quote. These arrows are visible only for a blink of an eye, then they disappear again and the orange arrow (face selection) is shown again.   Any idea on how to solve this issue?   Thanks!

Hi,   Can anybody help me out for adding custom frames in CED Annotation file? I tried the method suggested by PTC Tech Support but did not work in my case. I tried below method of changing the am_customize file as below   ;(docu-register-frame ;    :UI-name "Custom-A3";    :Wm-name "" ;    :file "C:\Custom_Frames\Custom_A3.mi";    :default :every time)     ;; T/NIL/:every time     But this did not work. Still the same standard Letter sizes and A0.....A4 sizes are showing.   Please help....

Is it possible to update the BOM list automatic when a new part is inserted to the assembly? Now the users need to do the following: - Insert the part in the assembly (or a changed part) - Scan the BOM - Delete the old BOM - Place the BOM again on the drawing   Isn't it simple the part is added to the BOM automatic?

Product idea for dimensioning in Annotation: Please add multi line postfix in dimension tolerance type "Basic". We need this for multi language drawings.

If I create a parallel auxiliary line, I can select the line in Modeling and move it with the mouse. Then I see exactly the unit of measure dynamically. I can enter an exact measure and press Enter at the same time.The line is created. When I click on the button to create parallel auxiliary line in Drafting, I also see the measure dynamically, but I have to leave the command if I want to enter an exact measure. Double work. Could it possibly do the same as in Modeling?

As the title suggests, I need to be able to customize the title block in creo elements. I go to the Annotations tab and create my drawing sheet with a perspective part. However it has a default title block that I want to change (how big the rectangles are as well as how many there are) so that it has all prevalent information I personally need. I have not figured out how to create my own title block like in creo Parametric.    Can someone let me know how to do this in detailed steps?  Thanks

Hey.    I am having issues forcing my dimension text to stay in line with my dimension lines. I turned my common text orientation to perpend and the coordinates to use orientation. This handles the text and line issue but then creates issues with my diameter and radius not having the staggered line.    any ideas?

The login I use is of UK origin, but since PTC themselves are a German company I would have expected them to show a more professional approach to GDPR than just cutting all communication with us. I had tried again to use a 72hour key just before I saw this post. As usual, I am informed the key I receive is invalid. Bill
