Hello all, we´re trying to find a smooth way to share and update an illustrate standard maintained via the Administration tool to several users. Is there a nice (and possibly native) way how to do?I can also imagine something within sharing the standard via Windchill Question is related to Illustrate 9 &10 Similar question was already raised here , but not about the sharing / updating of an standard
Hoping someone could point me into some direction with it have one user on the floor, creo view on ipad, sent the pvz file (same that others are using) and it just opens creo view but doesnt show. Tried cloud host, local file, usb transfer, you click the pvz, open with creo view, and it just loads the default screen showing only the default preloaded gearbox part and does nothing.
When adding a new sheet to a schematic I am prompted to select a template from the Design Templates section of the Catalog Explorer. I am currently trying to see if there is a way to load my .RSDT template that I use when I initially create a schematic into this part of the catalog, since having to edit my main design template and the template for additional sheets is cumbersome. As of right now it seems like you have to manually create and edit new sheet templates in the Creo Schematics catalog, similar to editing artifact's, and there is no option to import or load a template from an existing .RSDT file. I have looked through my central catalog in file explorer and it does not look like there is a file or folder designated for design templates. Prompt to select a template when adding a new sheet to an existing schematic: Prompt to select a template when creating a new schematic: Is there a way to load new templates into the design template section of the catalog? Or do
Dear all,As far as I understand the issue - it's born in the Light scenes, where shadow areas appear grey. We facing the issue in Creo Illustrate - and looking for a light scene that I can adjust the lights are best for the used figure. But just switching from headlight to 1,2 or 3 light - making not the big difference.I would be more convinced if the light scene can really adjusted by placing the light. Are there plans to improve or extenf functions along light scenes?Or is there any workaround getting the original object color displayed, e.g. by disable lights completely? E.g. even that the left figure is not identical - the grey colored fridge frame is white, but appear due to light sceene grey. The right figure showing the expected result we want to achieve.RegardsRobert
Hello, Would anyone know how to show the part number in the creo view, My creo view only show filename and vision number (I open the view from windchill web page). Most time I need the item number to check the ERP information, But now, I need back to Windchill web page check item number first. Is there any option for me can select show the inforamtion?
I am using Solidworks now ( I know Booo) but I have some files from my previous job I would like to look at and they are not opening. The parts do but the drawing does not. can you help?
I know that SHADE_QUALITY # will affect the resolution of the PVZ file, I'm looking for specific config.pro options outside of the recipe file. Thanks in advance!
Hello, We are leveraging Creo Illustrate with our CAD data coming from CATIA (not integrated with Windchill). When we import a CATIA file into Creo Illustrate, the following parts of the CATproduct are not being imported and I'm curious if there is a way to make these features import: CATIA Named Views CATIA ScenesCATIA Functional Tolerancing & Annotations (FT&A) CapturesCATIA FT&A Views When we import Creo files, Creo Illustrate will recognize alternate representations & combination states, which would be equivalent functionality to some of the CATIA functionality mentioned above. Does anyone know how to get these features to also import in?
I just loaded Creo view express 10 and tried to open a couple Creo 3 drawings and I am getting a blank white screen. Any ideas
I added a Torque Wrench to my animation. And, when I preview it, it generates the text "Torque bolts to specified value". This is because I added the Torque Wrench. Is there any way to remove the other phrase, leaving only "Step 3"???
Is Creo Sketch, the free sketching app still available? The download link that I know does not work: https://support.ptc.com/products/creo/sketch/download.htm Thanks in advance Jörg
I see that yesterday PTC released a Creo View mobile app for the Apple products, but no mention of Android, which has a much larger user base. Is there any intention of developing one for Android?
Hello all,I would like to animate a crank rotation. For this I use the effect Screw Turning.Unfortunately, the crank turns around a wrong (default?-) axis (red arrow). I would like it to turn around the axis of the green arrow. I have already tried to select other coordinate systems, but it doesn't change. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks and greetingsRamon
Can anyone help me with this: In Creo 10 Illustrate, I want to move the anchor point to rotate. See a screenshot below; This contains a group of opbjects that should rotate not from the center point but from a another point so that the hinge effect is more visible. I may be overlooking something on how to move the anchor point in this version of Creo.
In Creo View there are four types of Model Annotation filter - Planar Annotations, Floating Annotations, Misc Annotations and Screen Annotations. What annotation types in Creo Parametric included in the each filter? Such as Flat to Screen and user defined annotaiton plane, DRV_DIM show annotations, Weld symbol from weld feature, annotations and annotation feature's members. Is there a detailed classification description, which detailed annotation types and creation scenarios are included for each filter? Thanks in advance!
Hello, When I open a native Creo 2D assembly drawing with a number of pages, not all the views/images per page show? I am left with only text, tables and the product views are missing. Is it because the assembly is to complex?I am using Creo View 10 & Creo parametric 9.0.4.0Thanks in advance.

Dear PTC community,Please, advise how I can change the fps speed for the already-done sequence. My current sequence is too slow and I want it to play 2xfaster.I see that there is an option to play it faster within the Creo Illustrate:I know that I can manually shrink the length of each step or if necessary shrink each effect duration: it takes too long for 10 sequences.(20 steps each). But I don't know how to set 2x speed for fps for publishing pvz and c3di Vuforia Studio. Please advise any solution,
I am using Creo Schematics Release 4.0 and DatecodeM010Context: I have updated the creo schematics wiring diagram template. The sheets currently in the design work perfect fine.Issue: After creating a new sheet with the new template I cannot extend a wire fiber from the new sheet to an existing sheet. As soon as I click "insert break" schematics gives an error. Here are the errors that I facedInternal Error (001) occurred. Use the Check Database tool and contact technical support for assistance.
I am currently using Creo view 9.1 and Creo Parametric 7.08.0. We use Creo parametric to generate assembly models and parts that we can color code in different combined states to highlight certain parts or features. I have created different Appearance states that have different bodies, parts, etc. colored that I can then use in my combined states. Example. Combined state 1 uses Appearance 1, which highlights Bolt 1 red. Combined state 2 uses Appearance 2 which highlights Bolt 2 red, but not Bolt 1. This works great in Creo Parametric but when I export this file to a .pvz to view in Creo View, it seems to lose the connection between the appearances and combine states. From what I can gather, creo view only displays the appearance that was active when you saved the file. Oddly enough, the layer states, cross sections, and orientation portions of the combined states work correctly, only the appearances do not work. Is there any way I can have two different
Hi, I am having an issue trying to save locally a model opened from Windchill in Creo View, but it does not keep the Annotations. I am using Windchill v.12 and Creo View 9 Lite. Is there any other way that I could save from Windchill keeping all the annotations? Thank you
Like you would have a detail view in a Creo Parametric drawing, I would like another sheet in Creo Schematics to show small part of a larger wiring diagram. So, in one sheet I would have everything connected with all the blocks interconnected, and on another sheet I would show everything connected to just one block. I can copy the blocks with paste shapes, but, I cannot copy the fibers. Although I can copy and paste new fibers, but, this adds fibers to my already busy wiring diagram. At this time, I do not see a way to show the same fiber on multiple pages (not the same thing as extend across sheets, since these wires would already be terminated in the larger model). Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello, We are trying to standardize the usage of Creo Illustrate across our company, and one thing that has been continually requested is a standard format or template that populates with some key information relative to the native CAD files we pull in from Windchill (P/N, Name, Industry Standard callouts, etc). I understand you can create an XML template for Creo Illustrate when exporting to a 3D PDF through the "Save Figure As" > "Save as 3D File", but a lot of content is dropped when using this method due to limitations in Adobe. Can an XML template be applied within Creo Illustrate for end users who plan to use Creo View as the main viewing software? If yes - does a tutorial exist somewhere on how to do this?
Dear community, is it possible to export from Creo Illustrate to the format JT?I've seen there is an add-on for Parametric that adds the JT export format. Can it be done also with Illustrate? Or is it something that can be implemented worker side in windchill? We have the necessity to export in this format and we would like to explore the possibilities, if any... If I export in IGES or STEP, is there a recipe file to be edited in order to define export preferences? Thanks in advance
Is it possible to perform an OR search in Creo Illustrate's search function? For example I would like to do something likeI want to search for part names starting with AH or BH.
