Hi everyoneI have an issue with the distance tool in Creo View Express. If i open an DRW file (created in Creo 7.0.2.0) in Creo View Express, and use the distance tool for measure something, the measure result is incorrect like a wrong scale. But the scale of the DRW is 1:1 and in Creo View Express are 1:1.I noticed that the error of the measure follow the dimension of the sheet in the DRW file (see the attacment). But if i export the DRW file in DWG file, and i open the DWG file in Creo View Express the measure are ok.Some one can help me? thank you

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has tried using Creo Illustrate with Creo Parametric models but using Siemens Teamcenter. I'm trying to find out if Illustrate can connect to Teamcenter, as that is a requirement for a new team I am working on if they want to consider using Illustrate. This team is on Creo 10.0.3.0 Thanks!
I saw this post from the recent Creo Illustrate training at Blue Origin this week - sounds like it was a great event! https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7196656920093425665 Next up for Jeff Coon and the Creo Illustrate team - a webinar on May 29th! Is it possible to modify the size and location of the the parts list table when saving as a pdf? What is common practice around using Illustrate figures for 2D parts manual documentation with parts lists? I tried editing the XML but with the little guidance out there, I couldn't even replace the ptc logo with my own. A little frustrating this functionality isnt easier to use or doesn't exist. Maybe Creo Illustrate is not intended to make 2D manuals? I'm just a Cad Admin and this software was purchased before I was hired so I dont really know anything about it
I'm trying to create a custom view orientation. No matter what I do, I can only rotate the view orientation about the Z- and Y-axis, but not about the X-axis. When I change the numerical value either in the X- or in the Z-angle input box, the view orientation always rotates about the Z-axis and never about the X-axis. The attached screenshots show different angle values entered in the X- and/or Z-angle input box. It can be seen that the angle always changes about the Z-axis and never about the X-axis. 1. Start: X-angle and Z-angle are zero 2. Changed the Z-angle -> view rotates about Z-axis ✅ 3. Changed the X-angle -> view rotates about Z-axis ❌ 4. Changed both Z-angle and X-angle -> view does not rotate at all, Z and X cancel each other out ❌
Hello community, I've started to add some custom light scenes in the lightsscenes.xmlHas anyone experienced this already?I mean there are some settings that are not fully explained in the help, for example the difference between "ambient_adjust" (in the main definition of the lightscene) and "adj_ambient" (in the definition of the light itself).Or other best practices in positions, orientations, etc..I'm not fully happy with the default that comes with the application so I'm doing some tests and wondering if anyone has already done something to be shared, at least some experience 😉 Thanks
Hello,Is there a search function for Creo Illustrate figures? In the future I will have large Creo Illustrate files with a lot of illustrations (20....100 and more), all consisting of 11-digit numbers. In order to find one of these numbers (illustrations), I urgently need a search function similar to the search function in the parts list. Unfortunately, at the moment (it seems) there is only a filter function for figures that isolates the figure I am looking for (see picture below): However, I would like to have the figure I am searching for highlighted in the list of all figures, so that I can see the location (see picture below): If I am wrong, please tell me how to search for figures. Best regardsRamon
Hi everyone. I am unable to create an animation in CreoView. I am new to CreoView and I'm not sure if we have to first create an animation in Creo parametric and then import it into CreoView. If I click on 'Advanced' option in CreoView, I get the message "The animation (edit) license is not available at this time. Can someone please help me with this issue. This option will really help me in assembling the components together.Thank you in advance.
I was using the "Check Pin Numbers" tool while verifying my BID-WID diagrams, and I noticed that every one of my components has one extra pin (according to the tool, anyway). All of these components are made with a variable group connector and datatables, and each one only shows 6 pins. I've checked their properties, tried selecting children, and using the reorder members tool to make sure none were hidden or disabled. The only thing I can think of is that Schematics is counting the Block Port as an additional pin on each component. I don't think this will stop me from exporting but it is a bit confusing. Should I just ignore it, or is there an easy fix?
There is an issue we are facing during PDF export from CS 7.0 compared to previous version CS 3.0 (used before CS 7.0) as mentioned below. The exported PDF from CS 7.0 (15MB) file size is 3 to 5 times larger than CS 3.0 (3MB). We just wonder why this drastic file size difference from older to newer versions. Sometime, it is taking more than 5 minutes to create the PDF file on CS 7.0.The exported PDF from CS 7.0 and open in Adobe Illustrator for edit text properties is automatically changing the TEXT format into DARFT format. Please refer attachment for more details.
When i set up my old design to call the central catalog i get a bunch of errors wanting to rename datatables. I would rather them use the datatables from the central catalog. How can this be avoided? Ive updated the datatables manually in the design to what i put in the central catalog but i still see that it's throwing an error as a duplicate. I would like a streamlined import. are there other toggles i can do to streamline the datatables. If we are forced to rename them can PTC give us a way to rename them all quickly with a formula (similar to renaming in a Creo assy)
When i created my own Template file with ".rsd" & ".rsdt" file. When i create any new connector/variable connector symbol and send it to temporary submission folder and update the same in central catalogue by copy and paste.I cannot edit/delete the same symbol neither in .RSD file or .RSDT file. am i doing the wrong move to update the same symbol which i created in template file ? or i should directly delete the symbol from the central catalogue folder ? when i tried to delete the same symbol in template file am getting the following note in below dialogue box " Cannot edit shape for central catalog item".Please guide me how do i update the symbols in template file after i submit them to central catalogue location.
Hi Everyone,Good Evening, Can anyone tell me how to increase resolution of image in Creo Illustrate 9.1& what is the maximum resolution of image can we achieved from Creo Illustrate 9.1 Thanks in Advance. Regards,Aditya Gupta.
Hello, When a Model Checker provides Markup in Creo view for a MBD CAD model in an specific combination state (View State) then the markup is displayed in all the other combinations states (View states), This is creating lot of confusion while reviewing the model and unnecessary markups getting displayed in other combinations states (View states). Is there a workaround which will allow the mark ups to hide when we switch from one combinations state (View states) to other.
We also discussed this topic during last RSD Tech community meeting, We need connector MATE TO information from the Creo schematics. This will help us on wire tracing during troubleshooting purpose. Please see attached doc for more detail. Appreciated if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks
I am new to creo and the creo family of products. When I create a cdi from the pvz and attempt to save the illustration, create a mp4, etc., I get the manifest is missing error. I am working on a pvz on my desktop outside of plm to experiment with animations as my company is working towards adding animations to for our service techs. I found an older topic about deleting the cache to fix this error by going to %APPDATA%\pts\illustrate, but I cannot find this location in CREO 10. It has become frustrating as I put work into these animations and I basically am losing all my work. Thanks in advance.
what is the purpose of the mark up tab in Creo viewer. If you can't save the mark up that were created in the 3D model in the viewer? I've added leader notes to the model, and I want to send it to a co-worker. So he can see my notes. He can only see the model but not my notes. He also would need to rotate the model for other notes. in back. Is it even possible? Thank You Juan
Is there a way to update the description text in the Sequence feature? Such as font size, color, etc.
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew if there's a way to define a parameter for the pvsoptimize tool to remove small parts from a pvz that are below a threshold based on a measurement instead of comparing its size to the rest of the product? Currently, the parameters I can use for removing small components looks like: adapter/removeTinyComponent=1adapter/removeCompSizeFactor=0.008 but I was wondering if there was something else besides "removeCompSizeFactor" that I could enter. Or even more helpful would be just a list of every parameter that pvsoptimize would recognize in a recipe file. Thanks!
Is there a way to unlock the symbols in the symbol library and edit the text description?
We have Windchill PDF Collaboration License running in Windchill 12.0.2.13 for use in Marking Up PDFs, along with other image files such at Tiffs, in Creo View 8.0.0.0 build 27.One of the reasons we want this functionality, is to blank over certain text within an stored Documents, for sensitivity purposes. With the Tiff files, we can create a Shape Box and Edit Properties for the background Colour to be white and the border shape/size to drag it over an area to be blanked – perfect. However, with PDF’s we can edit the Shape colours to be white but without the Edit Properties, we can’t make it Opaque. With a Text Box the defaults can be changed to white background and white Line Style – Line Colour. But this requires going back and too the default options page, rather than simply editing the properties of the shape/text box within the graphics. We also tried creating a Blank White image and imported it as a Stamp. This works ok but we cannot resize the proportions, it can only be ‘scaled’ w
Maybe this is a new feature request. But is there a way to include measuremnt features like 3D thickness analysis in exported pvz files from Creo?
In using Creo Illustrate with PTC Creo View Files Tools for publishing, The "PVZ" output file doesn't allow watermarks to be published. We have Windchill / model security labels "ATTRIBUTES/PARAMETERS" that don't publish. I created our watermarks ini files using the old "ProductView Watermark Editor", The ini files work for Creo View and Creo Illustrate independently. The only impact is generating a Creo Illustrate generated pvz the watermarks are not visible in our files. We would like the watermarks to be published using our output of Creo Illustrate. We have our Windchill lifecycle designs, security labels that we would like to preserve on our Figures and screen sequences .
Hello,is it possible to zoom 3D views more than 400%?I have a large screen, and with small image dimensions (e.g. 7.5x4cm) the rest of the screen area remains unused. And for certain orientations, zooming in further would help me. Thanks and best regardsRamon
