how to add jogs on a explode line like creo parametric can do?look the attached file
Is there a fine zoom/coarse zoom option in Creo Illustrate? Thanks, neal lewis
Hi,Two quick questions:1. Is there an easy way to animate a wheel assembly so that it shows at least 360 degree rotation during the animation or more preferably more? I have tried to animate using the Transformation function but this only ends up showing the wheel or gear to rotate very slowly and only through about twenty degrees.2. Is there a way to publish/save a Figure only as a .pvz file to be viewed in Creo View Mobile? I have tried different parameters in Publish and Save Figure but I can't get the Figure to be saved as a .pvz. It always seems to want to save the whole Illustration as a .pvzAny help would be welcome,Regards,Brian
Can someone tell me how and when creo publishes information to creo view? We tend to have issues viewing old drawings in creo view and im wondering if thats a backwards compatability issue with windchill.
Creo Illustrate has a very limited appearance adjustment. I would like to be able to adjust the “highlight “or “shininess” in the appearance color to make an object look more matte, to look more true to life. The colors give a shiny appearance. Please add more adjustments for the appearance other than transparency and RGB values. Creo Parametric has great appearance property adjustment options.
Improve Creo Every new Pro-E/Creo release was worse than existing one. Creo 3 is worse than Creo 2. I will present just several observations: 1. All command icons are pale, harder to see. 2. Many changes are made just for sake of chamges. Typical example is edit definition, instead of text now there is a icon. This is really big change, but I dont know why? 3. Creo persistantly changes dimension on its own in sketch mode. You save sketch re-open it and dimension is changed by Creo. Dimensions are created by Creo in weird way, not enginering way. 4. Colors are horrible and do not match at all. 5. Scroling in work space is erratic not continous and smooth 6. Is it possible to calm down that zoom jumping all over the screen. 7. When you select file in work space and want to o it again searching for another file is it possible to go back to last selected file? 8. When you open constrains window that window completely covers three default part planes (Top, side and front) you can't select t
I built 2 pretty massive files for a presentation to our corporate group. The 1st one took 4 days, and was complete, but once saved, and reopened, all of the steps were gone. While I put in a ticket with PTC, it might be faster to try to find an answer here. I recreated the entire file, saved along the was, 6backups, and Published. While I kept them open, both files were perfect. Closed, reopened, BAM, all the steps were gone, but the last step I had highlighted is now the only Figure remaining. Open the pvz file, and them sBOM and views for each Step are screwed up. Is there a step number limit that kills it? I think I had 79 steps.Any help. please? This presentation was to get approval and funding to implement a global assembly and service documentation system, and Illustrate was it, but not for long if I can't fix this.
When generating annotations many leaders want to go behind the geometry (see yellow mark on leader 1 and 2). I find that annoying. Is there a trick to making the leaders go like leader 3, in front of geometry? I would prefer just to right click on the leader and make it one or the other.
Hi, I am fairly new to the Creo world and can imagine that symbols and such mean the same across the tools. In Creo Illustrate there are a few but the manual don't mention them all and don't explain them. What is the difference between an Item and a Part?eBOMHere are subassemblies with a symbol who is part blue - does it mean that it is different than the all golden one? Then there are "golden" parts too - are those different from the blue/golden? sBOMSom are subassemblies but some are kits and something called illustrations - what are those? I try to weld som to parent and the parent became the symbol of a kit hence they were stuck together. Do that mean anything making annotations?
Hi, I was hoping to see if anyone has seen an increase in the amount of exits (crashing) and hanging graphics with the most recent release? Both customers and our users have noticed a significant rise in these events. We are working with certified hardware as far as we can tell... are there any top tips or recommendations for better stability?Lastly is there a scheduled date for M020Thanks in advanceJames Brooks
Is it possible to force a Leader on an Annotation to the foreground? I have several Creo Illustrate 3 figures with Annotations that have Leaders going to unhidden parts or surfaces, yet sometimes the Leaders insist on becoming dashed (hidden) lines for part of their length (as if they are hidden).Any help is appreciated!Tom Burtonp.s. - There seem to rarely be answers on this Community board! Also, does PTC monitor it??
Can Creo Illustrate 2.0 and 3.1 be installed on the same work station? When I installed 3.1 it removed 2.0. The CreoIllustrate_64.exe is the same for both versions. In testing, I found that Illustrate 3.1 and Creo View Express 2.0 do not work well together, Illustrate 3.1 with Creo View 3.1 does. So, enterprise wide Creo View Express 2.0 is installed with Windchill 9.1, so I'm thinking for multiple locations viewing our work instructions would have to have them created in Illustrate 2.0. Any other experiences with these type of compatibility issues?
How do I select several parts and assemblies for future use in Creo® Illustrate?I will be rotating all of the parts and assemblies to a different location. They have to stay in the same relative position with each other. The parts and assemblies are scattered through the sBOM.Thanks for any help.Neal Lewis
I have a customer request to do work instruction only using Creo Illustrate to publish if can attach BOM table (link with the callout ballon), csv worksheet into the Figure view will be good.
Team, I know you can buy creo view but is there a free 3D CAD viewer you can use on the iPad to view your 3D models which works well?
We have just transitioned to Creo® Illustrate 3.0 from a different package. We use Creo® Illustrate to make the technical drawings for our manuals and publications.Oftentimes we need to rotate or translate a group of parts around the axis/centerline of another part. For example, we often need to show a hinged cover in a raised position. Or we need to show a part coming off an axle. How do I select the parts and select the axis? How may I do that with as much precision as is possible? I do not want to just "eyeball" the process. Thanks,Neal Lewis
Hi All. While Conversion of creo lab files From Commercial to Universal having errors . Please see the error message listed below. Error Occoured while executing commands in Hamilton C Shell. Thanks, Manoj
Thank you Adrian.I am trying to assemble some components, translate and then rotate the components around the centerline of an axle. The information about assembling parts says to look under the figure view (and that the assemble option is not available in Creo® Illustrate Essentials).Assemble does not appear to be under Figure tab. And the directions for how to do this seem to be a bit sketchy. Our group is transitioning from a different viewer program and so far the experience (for me) has not been intuitive.Thank you for your help.Neal Lewis
How do I know if I am using Creo Illustrate or Creo Illustrate Essentials?Neal Lewis
Is there any way to change the color and intensity of the color that highlights part numbers in the sbom column? I have great difficulty seeing which number has been highlighted. Thanks to any one who can help.Neal Lewis
Is there any way to make a part go away from the model view, instantly after it has been unchecked? I do not want any "ghost" image remaining. I just want the part to vanish so it is easy to tell that the part is gone. Thanks for any help.Neal Lewis
Customer use Creo Illustrate 3.1 for creating illustration for engine. There are multiple functions requited below: 1. There is no error prompt and solution info when function operation failed. 2. There is no material gloss mode in Render Mode, hope to add the special and useful method, or add an interface with other Render software including high function. 3. Hope to add the mechanism motion setting, particle animation (such as Rendering fountain, dust, smoke, flame and explosion phenomena), principles of animation, such as the arrow indicates the direction. 4. Add the standard symbol library, such as general 3D tools models, general 2D imagines. 5. Add the anaimation setting about the compatible animation between the schematic and related 3D models.
feature name is restricted in Creo and is always upper case - I vote up for more freedom to have also ability to use lower case and " " space inside then it will be cool
Hi,I am looking for possibilities to hide the leading line of a callout. The background is to show some attributes of the part, however the leading line of the annotation should not be seen.Is something like this possible? Or are there workaroundsThank you for your help.
