Folks,I have a customer who has many groups configured in their Active Directory but wants to filter Windchill access to just 5 of the groups. They have one group currently defined in <Runtime Service Name>.windchill.mapping.user.filter. Per Article CS24211 I edited app-Windchill-AuthProvider.xml and added the 4 new filters. But that article does not mention how to update windchill.mapping.user.filter for multiple filters. (I commented on that article to have them add in the missing info.) I see that there is an Edit button on that Property. I'm looking for what syntax I need to add the other filters. What is the delimiter between filter "memberOf" entries? A [Return}, comma, space or semicolon? Thanks,Mark Plimley

HI, I have around 100 parts create in PLM, which will have individual attachments. Is there anyways i can add easily instead of editing each parts and attaching the document ?

Hi, I wrote a SELECT statement that basically queries all Change Activities for all Change Orders (please ignore the * selector for now):SELECT*FROM WTCHANGEORDER2 INNER JOIN INCLUDEDIN2 ON WTCHANGEORDER2.branchiditerationinfo = INCLUDEDIN2.BRANCHIDA3A5 INNER JOIN WTCHANGEACTIVITY2 ON INCLUDEDIN2.BRANCHIDA3B5 = WTChangeActivity2.branchiditerationinfo Now I would like to convert this to a Windchill QuerySpec.What I am trying to do is to get attributes for both the Change Activity and the Change Order. For now I used the * selector but I would like to select attributes from WTChangeActivity2 and WtChangeOrder2. As of my intuition, you need to specify an "output" class for your query spec, so what class or type those objects from the Query spec belong to but in my case this would be mixed because I need attributes from both types. Is there a way how I can do this or do I need to split my query up (i.e. first query all Change Orders and then query all Change Activities

I think one of the first exercises when customizing Windchill is making use of Queryspec API to search for objects in the database. Given a number string, find me the Parts that match and do something with them. If we are taking input from the browser, what consideration must we do so that we do not open ourselves up to SQL Injection?  Does the API already handle this for us internally?    Given that I am providing the where clause a string value directly from the user's input, how do we make sure it does not contain another SQL statement? Is that where its done, checking before adding to where clause? I know that we can put checks on any exceptions that are thrown from bad input that can expose data. Just curious where developer's responsibilities lie and what PTC has already handled.

Hello,  I’m trying to implement SSO in our PTC Windchill environment using Shibboleth as the Service Provider and our Identity Provider is Okta. I'm basing my configs off of OKTA SSO and Windchill - PTC Community but I'm getting errors. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS23I cannot find the table that holds the SUB object types in Oracle SQLExample: WTDocument:I believe WTDocument.BRANCHIDA2TYPEDEFINTIONREFERENCE andWTDOCUEMENT.IDA2TYPEDEFINITION REFERENCE hold the ID of the SUB TYPE of WTDocument.However, I cannot find the table with which to join to get the UI NAME for those ID's.

How can I move a part to a different assembly in one configuration without it changing the location in all other configurations? Example - I have 2 different configurations that's composed of 2 cabinets. In Configuration 1, I have a keyboard (part) that is in cabinet A (Assembly). In Configuration 2, the same keyboard is in cabinet B (assembly). If I move the keyboard to cabinet B in config 2, it automatically moves it to cabinet B in config 1. How do I prevent this from happening? Is there a way to lock each configuration? 

In the automatically executed project plan, the Estimated Start date is getting set to the Actual Start date when the activity starts and the Estimated End date is getting set to Actual end date when the activity is completed.Due to this the estimated start and end dates are always same as the actual start and end dates for running or completed activities.Because of this behavior we are not able to track delayed activities. Is there any solution to this?  

I need ideas on how to get comments sent to all participants in a workflow.Example:We have a doc called Sales Call Report, basically it's a document that is filled out after meeting with a customer.  Then it's routed around to various departments notifying them of the visit and what transpired.  People have been commenting when completing task thinking that the comments are sent to the creator.....but they are not.  I have explained that the comments are viewable only if you go back in and look for them.  Is there a way to have the creator of the document notified if a comment is entered down stream in the workflow? I need a some example how we can load. I found a related document i didn't understand the .csv creation and as well as convert into xml. Please help me on this.     

If we add a boolean attribute to object type like document, values show as Yes/No/undefined...Can we remove undefined here and keep only Yes/No ?

When trying to compile the Windchill Customizations (developed originally using JDK 8/Windchill 11) using JDK 11 (Windchill 12) we are getting compilation issues due to several packages being accessible from multiple modules.   For ex: org.w3c.dom package is now included in jdk11 jar by default (Module Path), but is also present in ie3rdpartylibs, xmlParserAPIs and dom4j jars (Class path).   We understand that JDK 11 is enforcing a modularity check to ensure the same package is not referenced in multiple jars. However it is also understood that module-info.java is not necessary to be configured for JDK 8 to 11 migration. As long as the relevant jars are added to the classpath, the code should be able to compile using JDK 11 as well.   How does PTC handle these issues when working with JDK 11 and Eclipse (version 4.16)?    

Is it possible to add CAD Documents in the 'Description' relationship? Hello,We are having Parts with multiple classifications. Windchill .windchill pdmlink 12.0.2.7windchill partslink 12.0.2.7windchill 12.0.2.14 service pack Does anyone know what controls the order in which the classification groups are displayed on the Details tab in product information?It does not seem to be alphabetical (see attached screenshot). Neither the display value nor the internal name.It also seems to be neither in the order of object ID value nor the order in which the classifications was added to the Part.The Sort order property of the classification node also does not seem to influence this. Hopefully someone knows a way to influence the order in which the classification groups are displayed. Thanks in advanceMagnus

Hello, I am trying to load global enumerations from windchill 11.1 to windchill 12.0 using Load from file command. However, I am facing an an uniqueness exception in doing so. The windchill version for the target system is 12.0.2.15 with CPS15 installed. I have attached the log file containing the error.
