Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: CAD documents checking in from Creo remove WTpart attributesDescription: Whenever I check in a CAD object, it removes the part attributes each iteration. These are custom enumerated attributes that do not come from Creo, but get removed. I've searched everywhere and cannot seem to find anything on how to keep the attributes between revisions.

We have a problem in our database from windchill 12. Normally all 3D EPMDocuments shoud have a globalID(sysid) in the DB, but many of them get a "null" value now.There is an api to get the globalid --> wt.epm.EPMDocumentMaster.getGlobalID()this api works fineThere is also an api to set the globalid --> wt.epm.EPMDocumentMaster.setGlobalID()this api gives me an error.Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: GlobalID cannot be modified for persistent master: Assembly - CAD1000474015.sdcc Is there a possible solution for this? Is there a workaround for this and make the master not persistent for a few seconds until it's changed? ps: the sysid is something from creo elements/direct modeling

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: there is no entry in available column list for soft type attribute when trying to customize "affected objects" table viewDescription: Create soft type attribute of type "Affected Activity Data".In Affected Object Table of New Activity there is a OOTB disposition named "Finished", "Work-In-Progress", "Inventory". (These are attributes of type  "Affected Activity Data" only).Instead of OOTB ones I want my soft type to show there. But while customizing table view I cant see the entry of these soft types in available column. How do I add these attributes to the table..?

Creo 10/11 compatibility with windchill 13, why 10 or 11 which is more better with pros and cons ?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Adding parts to workspace takes a long timeDescription: We have some large family tables (~1000 parts). There really isnt a good way to break these apart. It doesn't seem to matter if you select 1 part from the family table for 10, it always takes about a minute to add. It looks like Java is at nearly 100% CPU usage on the performance monitor (I believe this is single core utilization). Does anyone have recommendations on what might be hanging this up or how to investigate further?

The problem occurs in the following sequence:-When a user checks out a WTPart, the visualization immediately disappears (which may be normal behavior)-The user then makes changes to classification or other attributes (not CAD geometry)-After checking the WTPart back in, the visualization is not regeneratedCould you please advise on the correct configuration needed to ensure WTPart visualizations are properly regenerated after check-in when only attribute changes are made?Thank you

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has setup Thingworx Navigate to use SSO but only using Okta as the IDP and CAS. We're working on implementing SSO in our Windchill environments and thus our Thingworx Nav would need to be switched to SSO as well, since it integrates with Windchill. Our company has decided we will not use Ping Federate or another CAS and thus only Okta will be used for SSO. We've discussed this with PTC and they said that this is possible to do, but since it's not supported (without Ping Federate) they won't help, so we're on our own trying to set this up.  I'm more looking for guidance and what info would be needed to send to the Okta group so they can setup the app on their end to talk to Thingworx Navigate. Thanks!  

@JeffZemsky tagging Jeff if you want to weigh in from PTC perspective. This is somewhat a config mgmt discussion but also Part revision question. I've always seen Design View as having strong ties and linkages to CAD and we adopted the Manufacturing View to be that MBOM concept where things needed to vary. 99% of the time there is little difference in our instance and most of those differences can be accomplished by breaking build associations in the Design View.  Currently, there are two paths in managing the Mfg View structure, create a new view version off Design or revise the previous one if it exists. Aside from the obvious which one is more correct, are there other pros/cons to either approach? What does it mean if the Design View is at rev A and the Mfg View is at rev C? What is the true part rev you are building? We've been operating with rev syncing where CAD, Drawings and Parts share same Rev designator by practice. New System - Who dis? This does not make much sense. I follow steps to set list of emails for the JMX Administrators. I did shutdown messages when I restarted last night which is confirmation that its working but as I watched the startup log I say this flash across for each of the methodserers: JMX-Administrators EMAIL LIST HAS NOT BEEN POPULATED! SYSTEM HEALTH NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT! I was curious that it did not presist settings but when I check the JMX console, they are there: If I look at each of the BGMS and MS in the JConsole, I see they have their own entry for addresses Address List here is blank. In this no longer used? Was message incorrect?
