This can be very time consuming, does anybody know anything about this? I believe it changed for us a couple of years ago, but we haven't changed the version of Windchill or anything I can think of that might have caused it. PDF attached to show the before and after. 

Version: Windchill 12.0 We manage multiple environments, including a production system, a test system, an integration system, and three separate developer machines. When deploying workflow templates from a developer machine to the integration system, we often struggle to determine exactly what has changed in the workflow template. Manually identifying differences is challenging, as some of our workflows have grown significantly in size—one of the largest contains around 1,000 nodes. We have scanned documents that are not searchable, so we would like to use OCR functionality to create viewables using Adobe Livecycle Server. When enabling the OCR capability we receive an error and it is unclear what the cause is. Any one having experience with configuration of OCR based on Adobe Livecycle Server (ES3)?

Hello Guys,   I have gone through most of the existing posts regarding this topic. Unfortunately I didn't find any answer matching my needs. I am new to windchill customization. We would like to publish only PDF after the drawings are released with promotion request.    I have managed to publish PDF to a WTdocument with AdditionalFilesPostPublishDelegate. However, I would like to auto publish pdf to drawing content as attachment instead of WTdocument.   I was also wondering how do other companies manage dxf files for laser cutting in windchill? Drawing DXF file created through auto publishing are useless for us as we can't feed that directly to machine. Also dxf scalling would be a issue.    Attached publish rule xml file.   Thanks in advance SV

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.8I have the Discussions on my JSP page for Change Tasks. I was wondering if there is anyway to automatically have it expand all without having to hit the Expand button. Is that even possible? I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.0I installed Windchill 12.1's Ldap related active directory settings. I'm trying to upgrade from Windchill11.0 m030 version to 12.1, (DB Data = Windchill11.0) I imported the DB data, set db.properties to wtadmin, and when running Upgrademanager, Ldap > Initialize Upgrade doesn't proceed.Here are the errors that I facedCheck JNDI Adapter's connection properties or provided inputsLdap Provider Url: ldap://CN=Manager:ldapadmin123!@plmopen.intelliantech.com:389/CN=Users,DC=plmopen,DC=intelliantech,DC=com Check if Directory Server configured for the adapter is running. My windchill is installed on drive D, and the file electronic repository is also on Drive D. The space on Drive D is full and cannot be expanded. How can I move the current electronic repository to another drive on this computer? Are there any detailed operation steps?

I'm having this same problem with Creo 8. Reference topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/Windchill-opening-old-iteration/m-p/693075#M62966 Opening the assembly I see that there are old iteration of subassemblies. Checking inside the workspace I see the same subassemblies at the latest iteration. How could CREO open an old iteration that is not even in the workspace?   If I open the same subassemblies alone they open latest iteration, indicating that the problem is in the assembly. Something is wrong with it and I cannot figure this out.

I need to get the Assigned Date from My Task once the activity is started. Using the self variable, I can retrieve the WFAssignment object that contains all task details. From this, I want to take the Assigned Date, add 5 days to it, and then set that new date to a date attribute using IBA.Can anyone help me with example code that should be written in the Transition tab of the workflow for this?

I am trying to give a user Set State permissions of a document,  but it is not showing in his Actions drop down list. If I open the information page for that document, logged in as the user, and then Edit Access Control, the screen comes up with his name and a list of permissions. Set State is not listed. If I then select the icon for View Access information, it shows that Members have Set State permission set by policy. In the top portion of the screen, it shows that under the Granted permissions is +Set State. I have restarted Windchill after modifying the permissions, but that makes no difference. Windchill 12.0.2 CPS10.

Is there a way to batch associate part numbers using loader or queryspec? Is it possible to rename the WTParts after checkin?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.0The instructions in Article CS36017 do not work as expected. Using this article as a reference, I need to address a similar issue by creating a workflow variable that utilizes my custom class as its data type. This variable should display a predefined set of roles as dropdown values, allowing it to be used as a participant in another activity.For example, Activity 1 which has the variable "Role_of_activity_2" which user will select the role for next activity (Activity 2).

In Manufacturing Associative Product Structure Browser (MAPSB), Can we not copy Assigned Usage Expressions/Line number when user Cut (or Copy) and Paste objects in the Downstream tab to restructure the MBOM. I try to review <Windchill_Home>\codebase\com\ptc\windchill\mpml\xconfs\mpmlink.properties.xconf. But only find the information relate with FindNumber.Need your help.

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Is it possible to link SolidWorks Family table instances with the Generic drawing through SolidWorks itself, similar to 'Add model' option in Creo?Description: We are using Windchill Workgroup Manager to manage SolidWorks CAD in Windchill.We are also using Family Table instances in SolidWorks (Configurations). One of the issue for us is the procedure to link the Instance CAD/Parts with Generic Table drawing so that the Instances should have link with this Generic drawing. Right now we are using 'Edit Association' from Generic drawing to Link all the Instance Parts with Drawing.But this procedure is highly manual and requires a lot of steps.However, in Creo we have 'Add model' option available in Drawing to associate the Instance CAD with drawing. Is it possible to have such option within SolidWorks too?
