I am getting ready to use the curriculum in my class and have been testing the exercises. As you go through Exercise 2 you work on "Cool Bike" and then it shifts to "Cool Car" for a page or 2 and then right back to "Cool Bike"Is this an error or are you supposed to bounce back and forth? It was confusing to me and I can only imagine what my students will think when they get there.

Dear all,I'm a new user of Creo 5.0 (Student Edition). I need to save my file as .unv. Unfortunatelly, i don't have this type of extension in "Save as type". Does anybody have the same problem??

Trying to delect a part and gettina an error thatCAD Part - 24_tooth_cluster_gear.prt, A.1 could not be deleted/purged. There are objects associated to it through EPMBuildHistory link.Not sure where these assoications came from, what they are or why they're only on one part, but I'd like to get rid of them so I can delete the part and reuse the name.Thanks,Walter

Hi,We've been learning Creo this year and were able to design most of our first FTC robot before building it (hooray!) So, sorry for the newbie questions.After getting a lot of the basics down, we are redoing our CAD so we tweak our design using what we've learned. So we have a few sub-assemblies built that we are going to use to make the final assembly easier and quicker to put together. The problem is that we are trying to "save a mirror assembly" for a rack-and-pinion lift and we end up with a scrambled assembly with a bunch of warnings. Hi,During a delete segment operation on a technical sketch, Creo Parametric 3.0 M010 appears to hang and then (not responding) is appended to the title window, then after 15-20 seconds the segment is deleted and the application appears to go back to normal. I have hundreds of segments to delete from a grid on this sketch and several others in the future. I appear to not have any access to patches as I am using a Free Academic License?CPU/Memory usage doesnt appear to change much more than 5-8% during the operation, which points me towards an application issue?Any assistance would be appreciated? I really would like to use this CAD program with my daughter who is on a USFirst team.She has expressed a interest in doing the design drawing for the Robot team this year. The program took a 12 hrs to download with our slow internet .Followed the instructions to the letter and came up with this error see 37-38 . Then we tried to install on her laptop and got a little farther ,photo 34 got to the install page but only installed a few things required and both home computer and lap top running windows 8. Just not sure what is wrong with this .Thanks Lee Cole

We are on our second year of using Creo 2 and all of a sudden have a license issue and can no longer use Creo.The error message gives the path to the license file, then (-10) Feature has expired.below this it again lists the path then a table with 3 lines starting in CREODMA, CREO PMA, and CREOLA, an expire date of 05-jan-2015 with the text Student2 Locked to: and it gives an alpha numeric string.I have no idea what this all means.Does the student edition have an expiration date?Do I need to re-install.We recently installed Creo on 3 students computers - does this affect anything.Really appreciate any assistance as we are dead in the water on day 4 into the build season!Thanks in advance

Hi, I am currently at University and have the student edition of Creo Parametric 2.0.It came with a 1 year license for doing our assignments. This has now expired but I am still at university and need it for another assignment. How do I go about getting another or an extended license?Thank you.

this is the file i downloaded....MED-100WIN-CD-400_M010_Win64I extracted to the desktop. I disabled the firewall and A/V. I can still log onto Windchill while on a browser like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I can't register my robotic's team server. I have tried restarting my computer, repairing Creo 3.0, deleting Creo 3.0 and reinstalling it and nothing is working. The error is "invalid server location. Please change the "location" field and try again."

Hi,I'm trying to get my head round drawing standards in order to comply with BS8888:2013 Technical Product Specification.I have spent several hours reading pdf's of the standards and according to my pea brain BS8888:2013 points to BS EN 128 which in turn points to ISO 128.Therefore ISO standards and BS8888 standards should be the same (except in one or two minor areas where the BS interpretation differs from the ISO).In my opinion the schools configurator for Creo - option BS8888 does not comply in three regards;1) Line types - centreline, long dash - dot is now the preferred line format. Fold lines - long dash - double dot. I'm trying to work on a pen table to fix this. The definition is clearest in ISO 128-21 guidance for CAD drawings.2) Arrow heads are not compliant BS8888 preferred is filled arrow, 30 degree included angle. Hello, my team has a CNC machine and as Creo 2.0 users we would use the machining portion of creo to create toolpaths for our machine to use. However, ever since the change from 2 to 3, we no longer were able to obtain academic licenses for creo 3.0. We origionally recieved them from our mentor Joshua Houser, but since the change he was unable to obtain academic licenses for us. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all,We have just installed Creo 2.0 with the license server method.The software loads when run as an admin level user but not when run as a non admin user.We have done the step of adding full file access to the 'common files' folder for 'everyone' step.Any ideas?

I downloaded and installed CReo 3.0. I have no licensing information, and if I try to run it, I get the following error:The program can't start because utfstrmt.dll is missing from your computer.Where do I get the license file, and why am I getting this error?

Hi.Is the KOP for the 2015 FRC game going to be released in a format compatible with both Creo 3.0 and Creo 2.0?The reason I ask is that it seems that parts created in 2.0 are openable in 3.0, but when that part is saved in 3.0, 2.0 can no longer open it.Our team has 2.0 installed on all of our school computers, and if the KOP is going to be released in 3.0 format, that would be awesome to know since then we can switch our computers to 3.0 before the season starts and everything gets crazy (In a good way).Thanks so much,~ Max Tepermeister FIRST FRC Team 2877 (The LigerBots)

I loaded CREO 3.0 on our last laptop,everything looked good and got a "Success" with new 3.0 license during the install but it looks like it it is looking at the old 2.0 license files ? I do get a error or log file when I boot 3.0 , so everything looks right except for the license issue , please see log file attached below , I removed CREO 2.0 prior to this install . Hopefully file below will help diagnose the issue. Appreciate any help we can get.
