I can still log onto Windchill while on a browser like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I can't register my robotic's team server. I have tried restarting my computer, repairing Creo 3.0, deleting Creo 3.0 and reinstalling it and nothing is working. The error is "invalid server location. Please change the "location" field and try again."
Hi,I'm trying to get my head round drawing standards in order to comply with BS8888:2013 Technical Product Specification.I have spent several hours reading pdf's of the standards and according to my pea brain BS8888:2013 points to BS EN 128 which in turn points to ISO 128.Therefore ISO standards and BS8888 standards should be the same (except in one or two minor areas where the BS interpretation differs from the ISO).In my opinion the schools configurator for Creo - option BS8888 does not comply in three regards;1) Line types - centreline, long dash - dot is now the preferred line format. Fold lines - long dash - double dot. I'm trying to work on a pen table to fix this. The definition is clearest in ISO 128-21 guidance for CAD drawings.2) Arrow heads are not compliant BS8888 preferred is filled arrow, 30 degree included angle. I've fixed this in my DTL easily Arrow length 4mm - width 2.14.3) Cutting plane lines cannot be made to comply with the standard - no option for the thickened e
Hello, my team has a CNC machine and as Creo 2.0 users we would use the machining portion of creo to create toolpaths for our machine to use. However, ever since the change from 2 to 3, we no longer were able to obtain academic licenses for creo 3.0. We origionally recieved them from our mentor Joshua Houser, but since the change he was unable to obtain academic licenses for us. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi all,We have just installed Creo 2.0 with the license server method. The software loads when run as an admin level user but not when run as a non admin user.We have done the step of adding full file access to the 'common files' folder for 'everyone' step.Any ideas?
I downloaded and installed CReo 3.0. I have no licensing information, and if I try to run it, I get the following error:The program can't start because utfstrmt.dll is missing from your computer.Where do I get the license file, and why am I getting this error?
Hi.Is the KOP for the 2015 FRC game going to be released in a format compatible with both Creo 3.0 and Creo 2.0?The reason I ask is that it seems that parts created in 2.0 are openable in 3.0, but when that part is saved in 3.0, 2.0 can no longer open it.Our team has 2.0 installed on all of our school computers, and if the KOP is going to be released in 3.0 format, that would be awesome to know since then we can switch our computers to 3.0 before the season starts and everything gets crazy (In a good way). Thanks so much,~ Max Tepermeister FIRST FRC Team 2877 (The LigerBots)

I loaded CREO 3.0 on our last laptop, everything looked good and got a "Success" with new 3.0 license during the install but it looks like it it is looking at the old 2.0 license files ? I do get a error or log file when I boot 3.0 , so everything looks right except for the license issue , please see log file attached below , I removed CREO 2.0 prior to this install . Hopefully file below will help diagnose the issue. Appreciate any help we can get.
I'm a student using Creo 2.0, and have had this program for months without any issues and then all of a sudden I get an error upon oppening Creo:"License request failed for feature"I attatched a picture of the full error message.I don't know if it's an expired license or what. I thought I read that the student licenses never expired? I'm not sure, but thanks in advance!
Hi everyone, This is probably stupid but could someone please clarify. Can we source our own materials for the payload equipment, for example thespray tank, or is it mandatory for us to use one of the samples provided in the background, thanks. Also, we noticed that each of the 400 squares on the map provided is larger than an acre, and is rather 1.6 acres, so does anyone know if this was simply an error and we are to assume each square is one acre or if we are to just extrapolate all of the measurements up to 1.6 acres from 1 acre.Max
Hi, I am bit unsure what has happened, I am part of the University of Nottingham, filled in registration form, but then my email that I received told me an account has been created, but there has been an error, and I don't seem to be able to download creo to do my Uni work. Does anyone know how I can overcome this? Thanks
I installed Creo 3 successfully, and everything works great except simulate, which throws a fit about licensing not being valid and that I should contact my sales representitive. Any ideas on what the issue could be?
I have an installation of Creo 2.0 Academic Edition on about 200 workstations with a floating license server. Whenever I first load Creo on a freshly imaged machine, the graphics are crazy slow even on simple geometry. Just mousing over a simple cube causes the computer to slowly render the wireframe for about 5 seconds and Creo completely frozen until the process completes. Once I paste graphics win32_gdi into the config.pro file, it the problem seems resolved. We've been teaching Creo/Pro-E since Wildfire3 and have run into this same problem in every version (since WF4) with many different computers including my personal computer which is an Intel i7 machine with 6gb of ram and dual nvidia graphics cards. The computer that I'm currently teaching with is a Core2 Duo Dell with 2gb of ram and a Radeon X1300. It's a little dated but I have to imagine that it can handle the simple geometry that I'm teaching to high school students.Attached is a screenshot taken while Creo is choking on th
I just installed Creo 3.0, and it worked flawlessly for the first time. After I turned my PC back on after going to bed, I attempted to run Creo 3 from the desktop icon, and it just gave me the windows loading icon for several seconds until stopping. No error message or anything. Is this a problem that can be fixed in any other way besides re-installing? I have already done that several times, and to no avail. Thanks!

Is eLearning accessible through the Academic version of Creo 3.0? Every time I try to click a lesson, it asks for a log in. I would have assumed that our educator log in would be good, but it doesn't seem to work.

The URL of my cloud-based instance is:http://thingworx-academic-vu.ptcmscloud.com/Thingworx/Composer/index.htmlIf this is a multi-tenant site I can see why I would not be given an admin user name and password. If this is a containerized instance for my use alone, perhaps I could be given admin rights.I think my lack of success for using the monitoring UI from the Composer that I have posted about before could be because my access rights are restricted.I tried a bunch of other things to monitor and they show nothing of interest either. I will upload a screenshot for what I see when I try to Monitor the system.
Sir, In Creo 3.0 academic, after entering key BK400407EDSTUDENTUNICL and restaring the computer the warning appear is License does not support this product.
Hi,I can't download the PTC Creo 2.0 Student version. If I click on the download manager, than it doesn't open the manager, but start downloading from https. The main problem is, when it's done and try to extract the file, it shows hundreds of CRC Errors. Please help me as soon as possible.
I successfully downloaded CREO 3.0 and used the student license , at the same time we downloaded Mathcad, When we started mathcad it asked for a license which we didn't have, It looks likes Mathcad booted up to Mathcad express. Do we need to request a Mathcad license ? or is there a standard set of student instructions like there was for CREO 3.0 ?
