Hello, I am following the IOT CONNECTIVITY WITH THINGWORX course but I am stuck at the MES setup, since I am using localhost setup and the tutorial connects to a remote server since they are using thingworx academic. Is there a guide I can refer to? Following the steps I have found I am always given the following errors:   SDK: Error intializing socket connection. Err = -1 twWs_Connect: Error restarting socket. Error 0  

Attempting to download CREO 5.0 as my university class requires, and there is no download link available at https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp. It appears that versions 4-6 are not working at this time. Any help in installing version 5.0 would be greatly appreciated! -Jeff

Hello,As of today it's not possible to download Creo 6. When you click on the download link it just redirects you to the home page.May I get a direct link to download Creo 6 please? Hello, my name is Jason Bolstad. I a CAD professional for over 20 years. I'm trying to get some advice on getting proper education with CREO and Windchill. I have used similar software, like CATIA v5/ENOVIA, Siemens NX/Teamcenter applications. But, I have zero experience using PTC applications. I have been trying build my skill set. Can anyone tell me an inexpensive route to take in getting proper learning, to build m resume up? Thanks, Jason

edit:  After many hours of trial and error, I finally "kinda" figured it out a bit of a hack that works but doesn't really make me that happy.  I'm now pinning the subassembly to the main body instead of fully constraining it, and then setting the limits of rotation to a minimum of 0 and a maximum of .01 degrees.  This tells Creo to treat the subassembly as a separate body, and the mechanism on the subassembly becomes a third body which works as intended.  I think if a weld connection might work as well, but I don't fully understand how to use them yet and I haven't had a chance to test it. Hi.  I'm new to Creo. I have created a subassembly in which a part moves via a pin connection. I then included that subassembly in my main assembly.  The part is attached to the ground body.  When I attempt to move the pinned connection on the subassembly, I'm told the entire thing is part of the ground body. Is there any way to fix this other t

Hi Guys, i've tried to download Creo 4.0, which is needed for my University assignment.Unfortunatly I cannot download installation file - because there is none. I've created a PTC - Account - clicked on the first link in the screenshot, but there are no download files. It looks like this to me:  The HTTPS - link is just emtpy. there is nothing on that page. Can someone please provide me with some advice? Thanks!

Our FIRST team wants to model gravity, but mechanism dynamics isn't an option we are permitted on the k-12 license.  Can we purchase the University student license even though we are k-12, and, just to be sure, does that license include the mechanism dynamics option? Thanks!

Hello folks, I am able to load the PVS/PVZ files in Creo parametric and I am trying to access its data or the structure of the model components to perform certain operations but I am not able to get any documentation for the PVS/PVZ files. Do anyone have any idea "in what form do the data in PVS/PVZ file format is present ? is it solid or surface or tessellated ?" Is it possible to access the data in the PVS/PVZ file ? If it is then which toolkit API should I use ? having a proper documentation. 

Does the Windchill PDMLink funcitonality "download documents to compressed file" supports the following challenge?- 100 x MS Word documents need to be saved as 100 pdf files and then zipped as 1 file.

I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.0.0I have a student  who is installing the student edition of Creo 8. He has followed the installation instructions from here - https://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo8_unistudent_standard.pdf. When he creates the locked license, it says success, but then the status says invalid file and he does not get the option to finish.We also tried saving the license he received from the email and uploading that, but that didn't work either.We've already checked the physical address, and that matches.Here are the errors that I facedInvalid file

I have downloaded Creo 7 from school PTC program and I unzipped "MED-100WIN-CD-450_8-0-0-0_Win64.zip" archive. Then, following "PTC Creo 7.0 - Schools Edition - Quick Installation Guide", I disabled antivirus and firewall. Then right click on setup.exe --> run as administrator.Nothing happens. I placed the unzipped installation package into a C:\PTC_install directory and launched C:\PTC_install\setup.exe, nothing still happened. I have a 64 bit computer and I am running windows 11

Hello everyone,i need Creo 4.0 for my university project. Unfortunaly is it not possible to download this version. First I created a PTC-account in order to get to the following site. f I try to download a newer version I and click on the "HTTPS" link the download of the ZIP-file starts automatically. This does not happen if I cam clicking on the version 4.0 link. In this case the following page opens.  Does anyone know how I can download the 4.0 version? Thanks guys!
