I am starting a tutorial, the piston, practice session...I installed Creo 7, the tutorial must have been performed in an earlier version.  It starts with a new template, says to use "mmns_part_solid"...you have 2 choices in Creo 7.   mmns_part_solid_abs or mmns_part_solid_rel   Which do I use?  What is the difference between the 2 extensions?   https://learningexchange.ptc.com/go/new_creo_user

Hello PTC community. I am asking for assistance in making an extruded figure for a geneva cam. I spent a while figuring out dimensions since instructions were not clear to me and now I am struggling with extruding my sketch. I have attached the instruction's reference image as well as my creo part. The error I am getting is that there is overlapping geometry and my sketch is not looking symmetrical.   Note: the center for the three arcs (of Radius R2) is at the origin.   Could someone please fix my mistake and point out a simple way of fixing the geometry? Much appreciated, thank you.

When i installed Creo Parametic 5 for Students i was connected via USB-WLAN Stick. Now i am using a Fritz powerline Plug with a different MAC ID of course. sadly CREO won't work with the old license, please send me a new license with for my physical adress: BC-EE-7B-8A-01-46   Thank you!

Hello everyone. I have some troubles with the installation of Creo 7.0 Student edition. The first time I managed to download and use the software (from https://www.ptc.com/en/academic-program/academic-products/free-software/) I got the 7.0.1.0 version but now I find 7.0.0.0 as latest version (I suppose for the bug found in the former). Then I tried to migrate the software into an external hard drive and it stopped working (if I remember correctly I got error 0x00000003). I then uninstalled all the applications and deleted the licenses .dat files. I try to reinstall the software and when I enter the simple license code (BK700908EDSTUDENTEDUNI) the installer program does not respond for some instants and then it shows an error under the license field. How can I solve this problem?   I run setup.exe as admininstrator, accept contract and insert license codeAfter entering username and password and clicking "Install licenses"And finally I get this.

Hi there!   Just installed the academic version of Creo Parametric 6.0.2.0 but the license cannot be found. I got a license pack via mail and want to know where to put the file in? Thanks in advance! 🙂  

Hi! I recently updated my desktop to Creo 4.0 to test it out ahead of our FTC teams adopting it, and I'm noticing some major stuttering and lag, particularly around the measuring tool, when I have relatively complex models open. This wasn't present in Creo 3.0, and while it's still functional like this, it is very irritating. Does anyone have advice for alleviating this? Also want to say I'm a little disappointed that rendering now requires a special license-- in my opinion creating cool renders of their work is a great way to get students interested in CAD. I'm trying to install Creo (University Student download, 7.0). I got to the step where I input the the student license (BK700908EDSTUDENTEDUNI) but I got an error (did not get "Success!" message). I skipped the license step to complete the install.If I try to launch Creo Parametric (7.0.2.0) I get a Warning Message List "License request failed for feature." Can you help me where I need to enter my license? And why I got an error inputting the university license during initial install?I installed this on my old computer (just built a new computer) so maybe I have an issue trying to install Creo on (2x) computers?Thank you!

I am an professional engineer and have my own commercial license of Creo. I am also a coach of a FIRST Robotics FTC Team and wish to help my kids with learning and using Creo. I know I can't open any of their files with my commercial license nor can I create files for them to open. I understand why so I just want to make sure I can set my machine up to run the academic license to review their work and support them.Does anyone know if I can run both a commercial license and academic license on the same machine?If I can, what things do I need to do to not mess up my current commercial configuration?Thanks for any Help, MarkP.S. Recently my installation of Creo academic started bogging down when in sketcher. It repaints lines very slowly, and is, in general, so bogged down as to be useless. This may have happened after a Windows update - I'm not sure. I can spin/pan/zoom just fine, which I wouldn't expect if it were an issue with graphics hardware. I upgraded to Creo 7, and the problem persists. I re-installed Windows 10, and then re-installed Creo 7, but the problem is still there.   Any suggestions?

After installing creo parametric 7.0 (academic free software) , when I run the software I get a pop up message to register as a quality agent when I click yes then another message gets popped up saying cannot register insufficient user access software shutting down how can I resolve this issue. I also made the quality agent setup run , but it didn't resolve the issue please help

Good afternoon,Firstly I have installed PTC Mathcad Prime, but I couldn't start my 30 days of trial period becaues i could not login to PTC account.Therefore, I asked about help and helped my with creating a new account which was previously blcked for my address e-mail.I have a PTC account now, however I do not know how may I start my 30 free trial period of Mathcad Prime, I still have Mathcad Express when i clik on icon PTC Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0.I would be gratefull for help with that issue 😉

My current instal of PTC states it is expiring in 4 days.  It appears it is a 30-day trial license versus the longer student license.  How do I avoid this shutdown in 4 days?   I have a sw_license_email_4969336.dat file in my university email.

I have been trying to renew my student license of Creo, and have followed the guides I found, but there is no reconfigure.exe program listed. What can I do to fix this? 

Hi, I have established some mechanical links between different parts in a creo parametric assembly. When I open my file with creo illustrate, I would like to keep those links while animating (to show the mechanisme behaviour). My problem is when I want to animate my assembly, each piece act like an individual one...   How do I keep my mechanical links ?   Thank you

I changed my dimensions and file locations in configuration settings  if I close and reopen the software the configurations are reset how to save the configurations given to the software

my account s10208113@connect.np.edu.sg has an error when installing I created another account using my personal email and it is working but i have to use my school email which is s10208813@connect.np.edu.sg which has an error. I have tried to install Creo Parametric 4.0 and I pressed the 'Win 64 DVD HTTPS' button which downloaded a big folder, however I haven't been able to download the app itself, only just the folders. I also haven't received any emails to help guide me to install it.

I input the student university license code, it says there is a maximum registered amount of licenses, is there a way to fix this error or remove other registered things?

I get as far as "Simple License Entry" and I enter the code I have and get "invalid product code". What am I doing wrong? Its not the 0 verses O.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to build a "dashboard creator" with Thingworx. In particular I have to bind data to widget at runtime. I followed the guide Customizable and Responsive UI  https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/guides/customizable-responsive-ui/en/resources/guides/customizable-responsive-ui  which I found very useful, in this guide the widgets change their data depending on the element of the list that is selected. My question is: Is it possible to associate the data, just like in this guide, by selecting the thing for the binding from a list, but keeping the selection for each widget and not changing the binding of the entire dashboard? What I would like to achieve is, for example, the association 'thing of the list' and widget by dragging. Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to do this thing?   Thank you, Giorgia
