PTC Education

I installed Creo 5.0 more than 10 times and I had already the same Problem. There is no mistake with the License or the Hardware (HP Envy i7 16GB Ram NVIDIA MX150).  So my Problem is: When I start Creo everythink is working, than I want to create a new profil or I want to spin the koordinatesystem. After this Creo doesn´t react, only jumps to the starting page and I can only close the window. I installed Creo 4.0, but I had the same Problem. My CPU is working, but Nothing except a White window.   Furthermore there is no error report. Have anybody an idea, what I can test or do different??   Thank you very much for your support.

Eine Installation der Student-Edition ist ohne den erforderlichen Produktcode aber nicht möglich. Bitte möglichst bald korrigieren...  

is there a certification offered for educators using the K-12 Creo software for the curriculum?

Hello everyone, I have a problem: for academic work I need to work on Creo 5.0 while i'm working at university labs, but on my PC I have Creo 3.0, which i'm using for other work. Is it possible to save a file in creo 5 so it's possible to open and work with Creo 3 after ?I tried to install Creo 5 on the PC but it seems it has problems.It is possible to have two versions of Creo working on the same PC (both academic licences) Thank you

Hello support team,  I just installed Creo 4.0 for academic use, license settings as shown in the pictures below. I'm using Cisco Anyconnect for the VPN connection to my universites internet. When inserting the license path during the installation, status was 'available'. When running Creo Parametric, connected via VPN, the error shown below accures. I already tried uninstall and install and tried without VPN connection. I also checked my firewall settings, settings attached below too.  Thanks in advance   Hannes

I am using Creo 5.0 and currently facing an issue that I am not able to connect to thingworx server to retrieve sensor data from the server. When I click connect to server it shows error "Connection to thingworx server cannot be established"  Please help me resolve this error. Look for the file on the page to download programs but I can not find the PTC Creo Elements / Pro 5.0 Schools Edition and I need to download this program and not the other versions of Creo, how do I do download it

Hello guys, to show all model annotations (e. g. all dimensions) in a drawing, I usually click "Show model annotations" and then select my model in the model tree. Yet it seems that some dimensions (they always seem to belong to a pattern) are shown only if you click directly on the pattern in the model tree. That is a little annoying as I want to  get really all dimensions at one click without being in danger of missing any. Is there a way to do that?   Greetings

Hello, i am using the educational licence provided by for first tech challange teams . i waanted to use the creo parametric thingmark augmented reality feature to present my models to the judges but unfortunately i couldn't find thingmarks , but only spatial target. later i read that thingmarks were only introduced in the 5.0.3 version. please help me!!!

Hello guys, I would like to display the mass of the assembly components in a repeat region (BOM) on a drawing. My search brought me to the pro_mp_mass parameter which is part of the process. It seems there are two ways to access it: Either by creating a part relation like weight=pro_mp_mass and then using asm.mbr.weight in the repeat region or by directly using asm.mbr.pro_mp_mass. All in all I have three questions:   1) Does it make a difference which of the above mentioned ways I use? 2) pro_mp_mass seems to be some hidden parameter as it doesn't show up in the part parameter list. Is there a way to see these hidden parameters or do you basically have to know their names to be able to access them? 3) Is there an official solution from PTC or a step by step tutorial that describes how to properly create a "mass field" in a repeat region and get it filled? If so, does someone have a link?   Greetings

Hello guys, in my layer tree i have two layers for hidden items (in German: "Verdeckte Elemente"), one written in regular and one in capital letters (see picture). I did not create those manually, rather they seem to be automatically created by Creo and do not contain the same elements. I couldn't really find anything about the issue on Google. Can someone of you explain to me what the difference between those is?   Greetings

Hello,   i hope thats the right place to my thread. I am sorry for my bad english. I finished my school 4 years ago, and we used Pro Engineer Wildfire 4 and then Creo in our school (Mechanical Engineering). I really loved drawing and 3d modelling a lot, but know I know that I forgot a lot of things of using pro engineer. I wanna use my freetime at the weekend to improve my proe knowledge, and trying tutorials. But I cant find any option of a licence. I only see the licence for commercial use, and student edition. But I am not a student anymore, and I am also not using it for business or like that.   It is only for personal use, and improve knowledge. Can someone please help me, or give me an advice where I can find cheap or free licence for Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0?   Its not a problem if it has limited access, or watermarks.   By the way, I am from austria.

Creo 5.0 parametric opens to the message below:   License request failed for feature    Requesting CREOPMA_SchoolsSTD4 c:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing\BE410708EDSTUDENTK12_license.dat:(-1) Cannot find license file.   I used the code given on the instructions and another one found in a thread form ptc help, neither has worked. I've downloaded and installed the program several times and am still getting this message. Before installing I've deleted the previous attempts license file from the c drive.    Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi folks, the three above mentioned config options seem to be somewhat redundant as pro_unit_sys includes definitions for length and mass. So my question comes down to this: Why do you need pro_unit_length and pro_unit_mass when you have pro_unit_sys?   Greetings

I do have the Creo 5 Student edition. I already installed it and testet it. Works all fine. But when I insert my school internal configurations that contain a new config.pro file, the program crashes after 5 seconds of loading time. I replaced the original config.pro found under PTC / CREO5.0.0.0 / Common Files / text with my internal school config.pro file. Does anyone know what to do ? Thank you in Advance

I am completing the PTC U Foundations course.   For Project 1 (the simple rover mashup), I found that I can export the Weather Rover thing and mashup using the Export option on the academic instance and import it to a local server. Then I could connect to that local instance and run the mashup and even use the Academic Simulator on my Mac to connect to the local ThingWorx server running in Windows Server 2010R2. I can't run the simulator successfully inside the VM as I report in another thread.   I want to do the same for Project 2, but I have tried to export content such as Media, Style Definitions, State Definitions etc. needed to support the created entities in the academic instance but they do not appear as new items in the local instance.   The import attempt does not report any errors, but none of the imported content appears in the browser.   I suspect there might be permissions issues that need to be resolved.   Can anyone offer a suggestion?
