Hi everyone, i am new to thingWorx and i am a bit lost . i am doing an IOT project with real hardware, except the cloud i need to use the ThingWorx cloud and create a database in the cloud so that when i connect my Galileo to the cloud it sends information to the cloud and retrieves data from the saved database. I cannot even find where to start with ThingWorx cloud i found description only! any help?

Hello I have installed PTC creo 3 academic on my laptop, but when I tried to start the application - nothing happened. I tried every solution that I read on the internet without luck. I thought that it maybe has something with the fact that I use windows 10, so I checked it on my friend's laptop (with the same windows 10 version) and it did worked. anyway, I installed another OS (windows 7) on my pc and it's works indeed, but now it doesn't recognize my license... I have read that it might happen because I can only install it on two computers. Is there anything I can do? (Of course I have already removed it from my friend's laptop)...

This is an advanced Creo color file that includes "many" colors. Students often ask me for more colors and why Creo does not come with more configured colors. I cannot say why it does not come with more, but you can see how easy it is to add more. Just open the Appearance Manager and Open this file to add a huge set of colors to My Appearances. If you want to have Creo load it every time, just leave it in your My Documents folder or set the config.pro option pro_colormap_path to identify the folder you are keeping the color map and appearance files.

My student license for Creo 3.0 just recently expired. I tried to go in and reconfigure it. However, following the instructions on the online PDF in some of the other support blogs, I could not find the reconfigure.exe application. I searched the bin and the entire PTC folder in my program files. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall or is there another way?

Hello VeronicaFinally I got this up and running. Nice. Thank you for the help. The problem was not a trailing zero hanging after my App key, but probably some inserted LINE_shifts that I had to insert on the Thingworx Android App in order to see the very long key as I type it in. I solved this by writing the key in a Note-book App on the phone and succeeded to copy and paste that information into the App key area on the phone.    Greetings Georg

i am implementing a virtual lab using electrical circuit and server but when i went through the videos of monitoring temperature using raspberry pi they told to have sensor ? Is it necessary to have sensors for making mashups or can i feed real time data directly into widgets present in workspace?

i am taking values from an electrical circuit.

When completing Part 4 of the tutorial, I open the settings.xml file to enter the Raspberry Pi username and password and instead of displaying what the tutorial says should be in the file, the file contains something totally different. We are trying to set up our alert features for our door sensor by changing the value of IsTriggered, which is a property of the Thing from a Thing Shape. We are writing the subscription through the extension Twilio has given us. We are doing a few edits in that script and it works, every time we run we do get the text message from the Twilio account but  it seems to lock up the Thing that we Trigger that alert on within Thingworx. The Thing will not open, show properties, and in return locks up most of our system. After coming back from the Easter Holidays no one can access Creo as it can’t find the license server after logging in to the FlexNet software I can see that the ptc_d Status is “Down” tried to start it but it never starts.Any ideas how I fix this would be much appreciatedThanksDan

In Creo2 I had embedded the school logo and used rendered output to make working and presentation drawings. I can not do this  in Creo3 anyone got any pointers?The attached file had to be exported as a  pdf and the  bitmap images added in a  3rd party programme.

I am working on galileo gen board 2, and doing a project of weather project. The properties are not getting connected to PTC. I am having a issue on the TWC_Agent, while manually running TWC_Agent, it is showing some errors as "Error trying to connect" & "invalid 'connection' header" and "websocket connection failed". If someone has came across these errors kindly share solution

This is a Toy helicopter, modelled accurately.  On a fine resolution 3D printer, I imagine that it would work.   All the parts are in the zip file.  Grabbing the pull string will move the prop.... given time, I am sure I can make it fly.... something that you may want to challenge students with ;{)

I'm working through Exercise 5 "Assembling Systems" in the "How to Model Almost Anything" resource.  On page 30 you are instructed to open the Motor_mechanism.asm.  That subsystem is not present in the Car directory and I can't find it anywhere.   Gary Lindner

Hello! I'm trying to model working drawer slides for the lift on our robot.  I've downloaded this part: McMaster-Carr.  Unfortunately, after I import it it doesn't move at all.  It appears to be a static assembly and I don't know how to add constraints to that.  I've also tried deleting different segments of it so that I have separate parts, and then re-assembling them with slider constraints, but they still don't move.  I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this?  Thank you so much!

I have some models and parts that I made in Autodesk but we want to start using Creo. Is there a way to convert an Autodesk model over to Creo? Thanks!
