Hi,which default graphic processor is used by the editor to display graphics of any format. For example the docbook applicatoin allows different types of graphic formats. I wonder which tool is used to display them in the editorThanks for help.BR, Pia  

Hello everyone, has anyone deployed Arbortext Editor in Azure? I am working on setting up a FlexNet license host triad (using 3 Windows VMs) to host our floating licenses. I assume we will deploy Arbortext Editor itself using Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) where a license can then be checked out from the license pool by the user. Thus far I've hit communication issues between the FlexNet hosts that I'm trying to resolve by looking into networking and license configuration. I just wanted to check with the community to see if this was done by someone else in Azure or perhaps in AWS and if they have any high-level guidance. Thanks!

Hello,I am working on an APP stylesheet in Styler 8.1.2. The XML (Docbook) contains some simple ordered and itemized lists - when I preview or publish to PDF, long lines which wrap are causing the entire sentence to drop down by one line relative to the item.The code that produces the above is as follows:  <orderedlist> <listitem> <para><?Pub _font Posture="italic"?>Line 1<?Pub /_font?></para> </listitem> <listitem> <para>Line 2. I've been using Arbortext Editor for a while. We've set up the system to be able to make translation packages and save/interact with Windchill. Once the translation package is created, the files (bookmaps, concepts, procedures, references, etc.) are saved to a local folder. Is there a way to see what the pdf of the new pdf of this book before putting the files back on Windchill? The issue I'm having is the page breaks in the English file don't always work for the translated book, because usually the other language has more letters/words than English. The page breaks for Spanish, for example, don't line up and end up looking really bad for books that are completed and saved & released on Windchill, but I can't figure out how to see what the pdf is going to look like before putting it on Windchill (which releases the files as if they are totally completed). I can publish English files while creating them to see where page breaks need to be, no problem.

I upgraded to Arbortext 8.2.0.1 and now see that my topicref titles are appearing as zeros in my bookmaps. This occurs in Column View only.  I ran the "Update Stylesheet for Editor", but no change.  Ideas? 

Hi Gang, I was working in IsoDraw 7.4 and I noticed that my "Layers" window would resize the width. I looked at the IsoDraw_7.4_Prefences.prf but was unable to decipher the formatting. Here is what I see when I open the preference file;Usually I will a starting comment line showing the structure of the section, it does not show in this instance. Could someone please tell what the numbers represent? I don't want to go changing numbers and just see what happens. Thank You,Keith 

Ok I think I am having a brain fart here! I have updated to IsoDraw 7.4 when it is installed this is what my banner looks like. In my preferences I have load 3D CADprocess load at startup checked.What I need to do to get CADprocess to activate in my IsoDraw session? Keith 

Hi Gang,Just updated to IsoDraw 7.4 trying to set things up and had a couple of questions. Where are the toolbars located in 7.3 and where should they go in 7.4? Where should the ISM files be located in 7.4? I have accumulated several macros over the years and want to be sure I can access those files.  Is there a file high archy located anywhere so I can see the file structure of IsoDraw? Thanks,Keith

Our stylesheet caters for our whole manual to run in a two column layout. So if I have an illustration that is in a table (page wide) and the topic has a long title (heading), the heading runs over to the second line, which looks odd (see below). How do I change/edit a [concept type] topic to be page wide?    

This release supports the ability to run Editor or Styler 8.1.x.x and 8.2.0.1 on the same system. It also contains bug fixes.   8.2.0.0 will no longer be available for download.   PTC recommends that customers who have previously downloaded 8.2.0.0 should uninstall 8.2.0.0 and move to 8.2.0.1.

How to autofit bigger tables in Arbortext. When I render PDFs with bigger tables, I am facing an issue

We want to load bulk promotion notice objects for windchill to windchill migration.WBM doesnt support the loading. Are there any other options to load promotion notice?please Advise 

Does anyone know where I can find a FOSI tag description table?   

I'm having three issues with Arbortext that I'm trying to solve. It changes my XML which is unacceptable. My XML is also used by an IETM, and must be compatible with that IETM. 1. For some reason Arbortext adds the following around the DOCTYPE when I save my XML: <!-- Fragment document type declaration subset:--> How do I stop this from happening? It causes errors in the IETM when it views the XML. 2. It changes my graphic's file path from "..\Graphics\O00002-4.png" to "O:\documents\TMS\Product 1\Graphics\O00002-4.png". 3. My graphic is named O00002-1, but Arbortext changes it to <graphic boardno="O00002-11"></graphic>. It does that for O00002-2, renaming it in the XML to O00002-21. O00002-3 and O00002-4 are unchanged. Is there a way to stop Arbortext from altering my XML? At this point I'd almost rather write it in notepad and make a copy for Arbortext to publish.

Hello, I am attempting to change the standard formatted page number format in xrefs to match the page numbering I have in the document footers I've created. As it stands, the formatted page numbering is a simple number, whereas the page numbering is in the format "1.05-3". Chapters are set as Division 1, Sect1s as Division 2, and the code for the page numbering is: <_gte:DivisionReference xrefStyle="Number" which="first" divs="sect1"/>-<_gte:FormattedPageNumber/>Does anyone have an idea of how to duplicate the above in an xref? Any help gratefully received. John Laidlaw  

We have two people working on one document instance.  The license is up for renewal for one in March, and the other in November.   The one in March more than likely will update to new 8.2.0.0 while the other will still be on 8.1.2.1.   Will there be any compatibility issues, or any noticeable differences on publish using Arbortext publisher option?

Is there a document or article that displays the supported protocols of the application and if so can it be provided?     

Ok sorry this maybe a bonehead question, but I am drawing a blank. I have modified the "IsoDraw 7.3 Preferences.PRF" file to add some colors I am using on a regular basis for fills. However when I go to an existing file and I look at the fill colors they are not how they are laid out in the PRF file. The colors appear as when I originally created the graphic. Is there a way to load the current/revised PRF file in these existing files? I have attached a couple of screenshots of how the Fill window looks in an old file and how a new graphic looks Thanks in advance  

HiWe have configured the https access for the image URLs recently.We can only access the http port url in Arbortext editor but we can not access the HTTPS url. Is there any place we need to configure in the local certificates for Arbortext editor and PE to access the our image server https URLThank you!
