Hi,When I launch PDF publication on a ditamap, I'm able to trace publishing events to a file with this command : composer_log("c:\\temp\\event.log", $eventlog::SEVERITY_INFO, 2)But Is it possible to fully deactivate event log (don't display the window) in Arbortext Editor ?Thanks.Nicolas

Hi,I am looking for a solution in Arbortext Isodraw 7.3, Currently i am using Arbortext Isodraw 7.3 to explode 3d models and converting it into 2d, the problem here is after converting the 3d model into 2d the elements are getting miss.For Example : The ellipse and the lines are not joining well. Pls see the attached file and kindly give me a positive reply of this question.

Until Arbortext 7 there used to be toolbar button "Insert Equation", but in 7.0 there is no such button. Can someone tell me how can i have it back? FYI:There are some other toolbar button also that are missing in 7.0

Can someone explain why a new option appears in the New Dialog when connected to Windchill? Can it be suppressed?The Windchill instance is SIM 10.2 M030.Thanks.

I am working in Arbortext 7 M010 and I have a small ACL file that globs a dir, runs doc_open and window_create, then runs get_composer(), inserts values for the stylesheet and outputFile params in the pdf.ccf, then calls compose::compose_for_pdf().The problem I am having is when the first call to compose_to_pdf is made, it reports back that the doctype is not installed on the PE server, despite the fact that I know it is (opening a globbed doc regularly allows me to publish through PE just fine).Has anyone seen this?  I've restarted PE services, rescanned composition, did the PE compare, did flush_composer, I'm not seeing why opening a doc with doc_open/window_create/doc_show causes the doctype to not be seen on the PE server.thanks,-Jason

Hi,if we would like to modfiy attributes of the markup, where the cursor is placed in, the Arbortext Editor shows the attributes of the wrong element.You can see this in this example:The cursor is inside the tag "para" but the modify attribute dialog shows the attribute dialog of the element "emphasis".Our expectation is that the editor shows the attributes of "para", because the cursor is inside this element.Can we change this behaviour? Maybe with a set-command? Or is this a bug of the arbortext editor?Thank you for your help in advance.Greetings from Germany.

We want to load Arbortext Editor onto a server and have users RDP onto the server and use Arbortext Editor. Currently i have a floating license which allows one person, can i get a floating license that allows multiple people.

When Inserted as new markup "Table" only the tags is displayed but it does not ask for any no of rows or coloumn.

Hello,I have a problem with resolution of href attribute on a topicref element in Arbortext editor (v6.1 M070). The problem is not present with v6.1 M000.When I have this url "../../../Temp/StructureTopics/pr%C3%A9face.dita" on my topicref it's possible to open the topic from my dita book map.But when I resolve the map (for modify style), AE is not able to retrieve dita file. I have this message " Pseudo rubrique : DITA Topic \"file:/_ATI_Not_Found_/../../../Temp/StructureTopics/pr%C3%A9face.dita\" introuvable"In the href attribute, if I replace "%C3%A9" by a "é" (../../../Temp/StructureTopics/préface.dita) I don't have the problem.Does it exist a parameter in AE to manage specific characters in url ?Thanks.

Has PTC formally retired the Arbortext Change Page Application for Defense product? (I looked for general notices but did not find any.) If so, what are some alternative products to generate change pages (and LEOPs) for 38784-type publications?

Hi,currently we are making tests with the newest Arbortext Editor Version 7.0. As you know the toolbar icons in this new release are renewed. The new icons are very nice and we would like to use them. The buttons are defined in the editwindow.xml. My company is replacing Adobe Acrobat with Nuance PowerPDF. Currently we set our default printer to "Adobe PDF" and Arbortext creates a PDF file after composition. I have a few questions:1. We get Acrobat Distiller with our Acrobat installation. When I set my default  printer to "Adobe PDF" is Distiller being used? I can't see how it is connected to Distiller. I uninstalled Distiller and Acrobat and I was still able to compose PDF files from Arbortext Editor. I am trying to ensure that when we lose Acrobat and Distiller we will still be able to compose to PDF; I don't know why I still can compose PDF without Distiller installed. Perhaps "Adobe PDF" is actually a different program? The Printer Properties don't tell me anything.2. Has anybody ever used Nuance with Arbortext Editor? If so, could you tell me how to set it up.We have an ancient system (5.3) that was installed before my time, sp there is a lot I don't know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

We are looking into adding hot spots to our images used in our online parts catalog system. Currently we supply a third party with pdfs and they add hotspot info to the images they create from the pdfs. What sort of process is it to create hotspots for an illustration. We looked the PTC tutorial and all the parts are individiaul not grouped together. If you use hotspots can you still have your image linked back to the source? Our process curently is that we use jt files and place them onto the open idr file, explode and make it presentable, add callouts, export to CGM.Any guidance would be appreciated.Bryon

When I try to open an element in Astoria Workbench, Arbortext opens a pathname instead of the actual content. Why would this be? I am working on a virtual desktop that accesses a remote server.

I am setting the "Vertical adjust amount" property to an attribute for which the element is a graphic. The graphic is aligning correctly when publishing to PDF with FOSI engine, however, when publishing with APP engine it is not using the attribute to set the "Vertical adjust amount" and therefore, the graphic is appearing incorrectly. I have searched the documentation but there is no specific mention as in how to set the "vertical adjust amount" in APP. Any help will be appreciated.

Our corp comm group just started using a service like widen to store images.  We are a long ways off from thinking about Arbortext so just collecting information for myself right now.

Hi, I was recently updated from IsoDraw 7.1 to  7.3.  I am no longer able to import IGES files from PTC Creo Parametric into the updated version on IsoDraw. Previously I would "save as" out of PTC with Surfaces selected in the Export IGES Geometry.  I was able to open that into IsoDraw 7.1 fine.  Now when I choose the same selection in IsoDraw 7.3 nothing appears when I open that file in IsoDraw, it is a blank screen.  When I export with Wireframe edges selected I am able to get that file to open in IsoDraw however it is unusable. Has anyone experienced the same issue? I have also noticed that several of the 3D tool options are missing from the tool bar, such as wireframe, HLR, Rendering, 3D select axis, etc. Those were all tools that I used. With 7.3 my tool list now displays with a 3D with a lock on it.  What does that mean?I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks for your time.
