We are currently using Editor 6.1 release. What newer version should we go to? Would our data work with the newest release? (8.2.2.0)

How are people managing citations and/or bibliorefs in Arbortext Editor.We have thousands of references in our content that can also be re-used in other topics. Basically, we copy paste references from topic to topic. Would like the ability to update reference once and have it referenced in many topics. Has anyone implemented a citation manager to be used with Arbortext, e.g. Zotero? EndNote?  RefWorks etc.If so, how does it work? How do they integrate.

I have an installation of IsoDraw 7.2 which has suddenly stopped launching. There is no error message that appears and I have not found any logs. I have a hunch that the version of Java may not be compatible. Is there a way to try to launch IsoDraw from JAR file so I can see any potential Java exceptions thrown into the command window?

Hi all, I'm just reaching out and curious about what version of DITA you are using. Also, has anyone upgraded DITA from 1.2 to latest version? or 1.3?  If I'm not mistaken, Arbortext uses DITA 1.3. We are using 1.8 (or 1.2 not sure what the difference is) however, we made a few minor changes and maintain a 1.3 version to be used for Arbortext custom folder. At one point we upgraded Arbortext Editor and were getting a bunch of errors, we realized it was using 1.3, therefore we made the necessary changes and updated the schemas.  

Anyone else having issues with Isodraw 7.4.1.0 slow to refocus in windows 10? We open it and use the program. then come back to it. We get the blue spinning wheel and its takes around 25 sec for it be active. Does not happen all the time but its quite frequent, our authors are getting quite frustrated.   Any thoughts,   Bryon

Hi,I am working on DITA Bookmap. I am having a chapter element containing title element with content (out of context rule) and Topic ref element (Topic refered locally [.dita file]) Ref Image 1.png. On Bookmap the Title element mentioned here is visible, but when I edit the document for styling [(i.e) Edit > Edit Resolved Document> For Styling] Ref Image 2.png and on the new window title element mentioned is not visible ref Image 3.png and so I am not able to format that element.   Kindly support me resolving it....   Thanks in Advanced.   N Sathiyaseelan

I am investigating the potential to use Arbortext Editor & Styler (8.) for a client, having used Oxygen XML Editor in the past and being familiar with XML, DITA, CSS, XSL and HTML. When generating output from a very basic DITA document using a stylesheet with minimal changes, the content of the top-level 'title' element is repeated with a basic text style in the following line of the PDF document and repeated without any tags in the HTML page (see images). This does not occur when using the default stylesheet for DITA. I have looked through the stylesheet parameters, especially ‘Generated text’, without finding anything that might cause this. Thank you for your help.

Hi,   Has anyone successfully configured APE to connect to an HTTPS url (in this case configured in Tomcat)? I think I have done all the requisite steps  - added port 8443 to Tomcat configuration, verified that http://myserver.com:8443 can be reached (and http://myserver.com:8443/e3 is valid through a browser) - added cert to Trusted Root Authorities page - verified that the service is available over 8080 when https is not configured   I get the error 'No publishing configuration information is available from the Arbortext Publishing Engine server: Possible causes: invalid URL, PE server down or PE server misconfigured'   Has anyone got this successfuly working?   Thanks

Menu Icons are too small in Arbortext Editor 8.2.0.0 than in Arbortext Editor 8.0.1.0.   I tried to troubleshoot by replacing ..\bin\x64\editor.exe from 8.0 to 8.2 at installation location and Icon size changed to normal as in 8.0 version.

I'm receiving this error when opening my XML file. Cannot evaluate XPath expression in stylesheet. [A30282] Invalid XPath expression: The prefix 'x3b2' I've tried to add x3b2 to the namespace declaration but I cannot locate the namespace value. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sarah   

Hello, I am trying to display an image at the bottom of a specific page. Initially, I was trying to accomplish this using a page region, but cannot seem to do so without entering an absolute path (c:\Users\<username>\OneDrive...): or within the custom/graphics folder referenced as the pathname attribute of the _gentextgraphic element. The graphics folder I want to use is located at the root level relative to where my topics and maps reside (as referenced directly from topics as "href=images/graphic.png") This graphic only needs to display in the LOEP topic. When I add the image element into the LOEP topic, it's understandably at the break near the top of the page, which is why I assumed it needed to be in a page region defined at the bottom. Please let me know if I need to clarify with additional details. Hi,  Does anyone know if APE 8.1 is compatible with Tomcat 9+ ? The install documentation specifically mentions Tomcat 8.5 and when I try to install the APE with Tomcat 9, the "Tomcat is installed on this system. Do you want to integrate PE with Tomcat?" does not seem to appear during the install. Thanks.

IsoDraw CAD process 7.4.0.0 - Has anyone experienced undo’s not working for CAD models like to delete a selection and undo is not returning back that selection.

Hello, We had a stylesheet created for our company. Due to recent changes to our formatting requirements, one of two published pages in our book needs to display different content. It seemed the best approach was to copy an existing ufe (_ufe:SignatureBlock). I was able to do so in Styler, and rename the copy as desired (_ufe:SignatureLOEPBlock). However, I can't find anyway to properly edit the markup to point at the new ufe. I checked in the forums and on the web, but couldn't locate a solution. Thanks for any help, Jeff

When Print Previewing a document, it'll display the CGM graphics as intended. However, while creating a PDF of the same document using the Publishing Engine, the document prints without any of the graphics.Using Arbortext 8.1Publishing Engine: 8.1.3.1

Good afternoon, we have a dilemma that we are trying to solve. We create multiple variations of parts books that need different part numbers for the same part.  Currently we manually add all the versions and profile accordingly. I would like to automate it if possible.   Example below Book 1 has part 123 Book 2 has part 123, but needs it to show up a A12 Book 3 has part 123, but needs it to show up a X2A   Is there a way to retrieve the correct number when building the publish?   Thanks   Bryon        

Does Arbortext Editor with Styler 8.2 compatible with Windchill 12.0?

Good afternoon, I have an Arbortext Layout Developer12.1.0.1   user that is having an error: BAD PRINTER TYPE when trying to print as a PDF file.  What needs to be done to resolve the issue?

How to resolve printServices4-0.styler and printServices4-0.genfos file out of date or re-exported Arbortext Editor?
