Hello, I have a drawing with 12 assemblies and 12 parts attached/added to it.  Must I activate each model separately and regenerate or is there a way to regenerate all associated models at once via the drawing?  It seems the former approach would be very impractical.  Thank you.

Hello, I am trying to remove a part from my workspace and it wants to bring the drawing with it.  I have already removed the part from the drawing, regenerated, saved.  The part still wants to bring the drawing with it.  Any ideas here?  Thank you.

Hello Fellow Admins,    There hasn't been any discussion on this topic in 6 years, I'm sure tools have changed.  Anyone out there using license monitoring software?  My company has more than 100 creo seats, some are Global license.  Trying to get good data to make better decisions on the amount we need.  Can you share your experience?    Thanks in advance for any insight.

Hello,   I have an issue on my laptop running Windows 7  with Creo 7.0.1.0 installed.   When second, and subsequent, model windows are opened the program refuses to settle on one window and allow me to interact with the model. What I mean is that when the new model window opens, any mouse click results in Creo switching back to the base window. However any mouse click here then sends me to the second model, and so I then get stuck in this loop. it ends only when I minimize the creo righr creo window and open it again bu using win+D buttons.   The problem only appears to affect Creo eventhough I have creo 4 installed that works perfectly.   Has anybody encountered anything like this before?   Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Whenever I start Creo 4.0, this error message pops up. I reinstalled Creo several times, and it doesn't go away. I have the student version.

When I am trying to open Solidworks model in CREO 6.0.4 , CREO gets hanged and model does not open.   Ideally it should trigger swtopro.exe file when trying to open solidworks model and model should get opened . But I am not sure why it is not triggering.   Can someone please help me on this ?

From Windchill in Chrome browser its possible to start Creo using "Actions>Open in Creo" from the CAD document details page, this downloads a .pha file which can be opened in Creo. This starts Creo in whatever location the file was downloaded and if I try and open something else it starts another Creo session. So to minimise confusion for my teams who may try and click this button I need to either make it work properly, so it opens Creo in the run directory we normally use, or stop it form working all together, does anyone have any thoughts on this, I was going to try and remove the file type association between .pha and Creo?

Hi all, I am doing a large number of installation drawings for a large assembly. I want to be able to show reference components in the installation drawings to show how the components are assembled together. My problem is I cannot have reference components saved in the assembly as they will duplicate in the top level model assembly. I can bring components into an assembly model then into a drawing and save the outline as draft entities so that I can then delete reference model from assembly before saving. However when you do this the reference model is no longer there to hide lines behind it so you end up with hidden lines shown which i don't want. Apologies for the long explanation but can anyone help?Thanks Dave.

Hi guys,   With the floating window quick icon boxes in Creo 7 that show up near your cursor.   Id like to customize what shows up in the floating quick icon windows, and share with other users. Where are these files saved? is it in the creo.parametric.customization.ui file like the other custom ribbons I create? Thanks, Jay

Creo is reading the config.pro file over the public network. Therefore, all users have the same working directory. I want to set the working directory folder to the local folder of all users. In addition, I want this to be done automatically, without users doing anything. Is it possible?

Hi everybody,   I am installing Creo 6.0.2 into a school lab. Tha lab has Windows 7 and Windows 10 PCs. License server is a Windows Server 2008 R2.   The W7 PCs can reach the server during the installation and everything worked without problems. W10 PCs can't reach the server, both using server name or server IP address. If I use the server name, nothing happens. If I use the IP address, it says that server is unreachable. But I can ping the IP address of the server from a cmd prompt, and the ping works fine. Windows firewall is disabled on W10 and I set up rules on 7788 port and the xtop.exe, parametric.exe, and other executables as described in this article.   Is there something missing?

How to resolve this error. It happens every time whenever I try to create a new file. 

We have just made the move from Creo 3.0 to Creo 5.0.3.0, we are using Dell 3620 workstations with NVIDIA  Quadro M4000 cards and 362.13 driver as per the spec sheet, we also have some 3630s with the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 and 419.17 driver.   The users are experiencing lag on menus and general navigation, they are experiencing this mostly towards the afternoon. typically most users will have the whole motorcycle in session which can be around 4000 parts, they will tend to use Reps to only show the area of the bike they are working on. So I think its a memeory issue due to number of parts in session, but it could be somehting to do with Windchill, configurations, graphics card, the list goes on.   Any help much appreciated

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M040, but I am trying to open a legacy Creo 2 assembly, but the model tree is not showing any of the model operations, but the model picture shows the changes that the operations would have done.  Error message at the bottom of the screen when I open the creo 2 assembly file is "Could not read from Model Tree config file wtpub://$SERVER_NAME/Libraries/CAD Standards/Creo/Configurations/tree.cfg."

Is compatible Creo 7 and Windows 10 V..2004?     Thanks

As a college student I downloaded Creo 6.0. But after I wanted to open the "setup.exe" nothing happened. Not even after disabling both of the firewall and antivirus. However from an another PC I managed to copy the necessary files to my own. I have the license the use it as a student. I copied the "license.dat" file to the right destination ("C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing") but still Creo cannot detect the file.   What should I do in order to Creo detect my license?   Thank you for your forwarding help!

Once Creo start up, it loads tons of mapkeys that form corporate level. Personally i have my own mapkey saved in config.pro Very often, some shortcut will have conflict. How to let Creo only use mapkey that defined in config.pro?

 Hello, has anyone experience with graphic card NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060, for CREO design. I work with some full parametric designs, and the projects that I develop, can have up to 4000 components (the most complexes). I have defined a budget to the computer, and I was trying to have a better processor instead a quadro graphics, for the same money. In the end of a project, is quite normal to have 5 to 10 minutes in regeneration. I was trying to reduce as much as possible this value.   Any experience?

Hello,   We work with PTC CAD for long time. Three years ago we moved from ProE Wildfire 5 to Creo 3 and work with it. In our system we currently have files create/modify with only ProE Wildfire 5 and other create/modify with Creo 3. We plan to move soon to Creo 5. As we know it will work perfectly well between Creo 3 and Creo 5 (at least when we move from 3 to 5) but my question is: what about if we want to open / modify with Creo 5 some files saved with ProE wildfire 5 10years ago ? Do we need to re-open and re-save all files from wildfire 5 to Creo 3 before move to creo 5 to be sure everything will work ?   regards Cedric 

Hi, Creo 3 licensing became unreliable with windows 10 and now completely stopped working. That means I can not use the software anymore. My reseller suggested me to reinstall the flexnet. The deinstalling went fine using the config tool but trying to install it again makes the tool get stuck at the "installing license server" state. Any idea how I can get my expensive tool back to work? Thanks, Consti

Hello dear Creo/ProE users,   We just wanted to install newest edition of Creo 7, that is Creo 7.0.1.0 but no succes.   PTC seems that has decided to (add/delete few lines of code) eliminate usage of USB network cards with no annoucement or anything simmilar.   In newer computers is only wireless card and if it doesnt work, Creo 7.0.1.0 and newer cannot be used! Does anyone has any tought on this or possible solution?   Best Regards, CreoUser

I want to install Creo 6.0 on my Computer having Specifications of Intel Pentinum(R) D 32-bit. Does Creo 6.0 can be Installed on Windows 8 32 bit OS? If yes, where can i find the setup for the same? Because i am unable to find setup for it.

Good day,our server that has flexnet on it recently crashed. We' have reestablished it but then Creo no longer worked.   One thing I thought might be the issue is that the newly restored server has a new MAC address.  it did turn out that that was the case, so I went online and requested our licenses to be switched over to the new address.   we then updated the license on flexnet, however, when I try to run Creo on my local machine, I get this error:       an issue related to foundation visualization. I'm honestly not quite sure what that is for. Seems to be related to windchill?  We've tried everything and just can't get it to work (including reinstalling flexnet).  Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.thanks!
