I'm running into an issue with Creo View when Windchill is configured to use HTTPS.  Attempting to open anything from Windchill in Creo View throws this error: Following the steps in CS242260 to create an environment variable (PVIEW_SEARCH_ALL_CERTIFICATES=1) has no effect. Following the steps in CS312299 to alter Edge internet properties to not check for certificate revocation will allow the Creo View login dialog to appear, but as soon as credentials are entered the dialog closes and Creo View never appears.  (Webserver logs do show successful authentication.) The location of the users TEMP directory is not the issue. (CS347988 and CS378634.) Firewalls are disabled and no anti-virus software is currently in use. These are commercially purchased certificates, and the full chain is valid and not expired. Creo Parametric works just fine.  It's only Creo View that is having problems. Hi, We have a customer who stores CAD files in FileVaults (more tha 8TB), so Microsoft SQL Database contains theoretically only the metadata. The size of the SQL Database is  greater than 200GB. There is a dedicated VM for SQL server with 128GB Memory and 8vCPU. The customer has some performance issues with for example complex queries.Somethimes this query runs fast - 5-10 sec - but other time tis query runs 5-10 minutes!  An SQL expert adviced to our customer to use at least 1-1,5 times more memory for SQL Server than the existing database size. This can be a good way to handle performance issue? Thanks, Károly

How to add time information to the log of backgroundMethodServer

We are using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.1.5 We will be upgrading to Windchill 12 or 13 soon.We are starting to play around with "Configurable Links". We have successfully made several different kinds of these. One question: is around History: we have found "Configurable Revision Link History" under Customize >> History, but it doesn't really show who created the link or when they created it, nor does it show when a link is removed. Is there a way for us to see who created, modified or removed a link?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS27I have an installation with CATIA and Creo Parametric 3.0. When I implement the "upload_soft_type" method in order to have correctly sub-typed the EPM, I had to create two different parameters because otherwise I'm not be able to modify the parameter through "edit attribute" in workspace: i change the value, creo parametric update the session but not change the value. If I use this method with any other parameter, it's work well.Now I must work also with Creo Parametric 8.0 but I have the same problem and I can't create another parameter because I can't discriminate the creo parametric's version.Here are the errors that I facedNo error shows anywhere, also in method log

I am currently trying to do a bulk export of CAD Data  ( Parts and Drawings) from WC 10.2 to WC 11.1. The problem that I am experiencing is that WC 11.1 already has CAD Data which uses the same part numbers as WC 10.2. I can't just use the WC 11.1 Parts in my 10.2 Assemblies because they are not the same, this causes mating errors etc.. when I open the 10.2 Assemblies. Is there a way to not break the 10.2 Assemblies, by somehow having both parts on the 11.1 Server? Would it be possible for 10.2 to point to a different iteration of the part or something similar?

I can retrieve CAD documents via http://******/Windchill/servlet/odata/CADDocumentMgmt/CADDocuments('OR:wt.epm.EPMDocument:******')?$expand=Attachments and obtain detailed information such as PDFs. However, there's an issue as it doesn't display the relationship of the part with its WTPart. How can I find out which ID it's connected to or what information it's linked to on the WTPart? Could you assist me with this?

A two part...   a) We have external users, who we set their organization to the company they work for, and in the project they can access, we default the cage code on new objects to the same.  However, we notice, that some users can change the cage code to other organizations.  If we were to modify the user's login organization, we never loose the original cage code possible selection.  I.e. My test user was my organization.  Then I modified to test for company A.  Then modified to company B.  My test user can now set my original organization, plus both Company A and Company B, and sometime Random Company C and D.  How would we clear the other options when they search Cage Codes to only get the default organization? b) Other side of the coin, we deal with multiple branches of the same vendor.  Is there a way to set the organizations up so all the branches can fall under the HQ, and allow selection of any of the other branch's

Hi,I have soft attributes defined on the WTPart and I would like to retrieve their values. But going through REST Guides and browsing and searching through PTC support site I did not fine single example how to accomplish that. Am I missing something or REST query cannot be used to retrieve soft type attributes? Does any body have any suggestion?

Dear fellow Windchill colleagues,Regarding sub-types of WT.part and how to change a existing part from one sub-type to another, i can find some =/-10 year old posts on how to do that using SQL or command line scripting.But whats the status on it on 2024? Is it now somehow possible via, the interface or maybe the REST-API? Some context regarding our story:We would love to use multiple sub-types, but we are currently are avoiding it like the plague, because it seems it's not easily changeable in the Windchill interface.The reason we would like to change them is to make it easier to implement them. We come from a 'CAD centric' way-of-work and currently don't have any data that would define in which sub-type a certain part should be (e.g. Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturer). When starting with WT-Parts, we can create a WT-part for each CAD file, but then directly have to choose a CORRECT Sub-type. Hello together,I struggle with the following topic: I created the child change request Standard Change Request (SCR) out of the parent Change Request (CR).Now I want to have an individual order of the sections on the Details tab like Affected Objects, Attachments, Associated Process Objects, etc for the SCR. And no I don't mean the attributes layout.I already found the current action model, which is used for all the change request types: changeRequestInfoPageTabSetAnd also the section in the ChangeManagement-actionModels.xmlBut when I make changes here, it will be changed for the parent Change Request and also all child objects. I would suggest the next steps for the SCR are to create1. a action model name="standardChangeRequestDetailsTab" for the order of the single elements2. a action model name="standardChangeRequestInfoPageTabSet" for the different tabs But how do I link now the new created standardChangeRequestInfoPageTabSet with the actual
