I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.11Relations constraints for Satisfy Trace link and Allocate Trace link are not inherited by the subtypes of the Parent Type as described in documentation.The TraceLinkConstraintsHelper.getRelationshipConstraintsData method called in $WT_HOME/codebase/netmarkets/jsp/traces/traceLinks/addTracLinks.jsp uses AssociationConstraintHelper.service.getAssociationConstraints(paramTypeIdentifier).Work around is to create relationship constraint for subtypes, but that is not ideal.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.8When trying to checkout an old version of an assembly in creo parametric (version 9.0.0.0) the conflictmanager displays an error message saying that the assembly can not be checked-out as it is not the newest version.When going through the windchillsettings we could not find an option that would allow for previous iterations to be checked-out/in.The suggested solution in the article CS100514 does not work, as under "settings -> create and edit" no option "Allow checkout of non-latest iterations" exists.The only available setting under create and edit is "object checked out warning" which can be set to yes or no.How can checking-out/in of older iterations be enabled?Thank you in advance!

Hello All, This was a previous post I had about the same topic. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/How-to-prevent-any-modifications-to-CAD-objects-in-Workspace/m-p/927120#M77779 Here is some additional screenshots of what happens.  These 2 parts are components in an assembly, when I saved this Assembly I get this Conflict, these parts are locked.  The only option allowed is Continue, which then unlocks the file and has a "modified locally" tag.  This should not be allowed to happen to a locked file, whether it's state is "Released" or "In-Work".  How can this be prevented?  

Version: Windchill 11.1 Use Case: Is ti possibile to delete a drawing associated to an assy model with different code, without deleting assy model too?Description: I have created a drawing with new code to represent an old and already released assy model with a different code.Now I need to delete thi drawing that I have checked in but still in creation. Local admins told me that deleting is impossible because drawing has been checked in with the assy model association.I don't understand why this should be a problem considering assy model was realased before drawing creation and not depending from it. In my opinion deleting of this drawing shoudn't affect anythingelse in Windchill. Why is this operation forbidden? 

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Trying to get the correct CAD Structure in Windchill for the previous Released iterations of the CAD documents and want to use these CAD documents in other projects.Description: Hello All,We are using CREO 9.0 and Windchill 12.1, we do not use WT part in Windchill and just work with CAD documents.The issue is if I open a previous Released iteration of a CAD Assembly, the structure is not showing the previous iterations of the downstream sub-assemblies, rather it shows the latest version of all downstream items. For example see the image below, In the structure, the top level asm is last Released  0.28 version but all other underlying items are latest Revised version A. Also if I open it in CREO it shows some red flags for missing references due to updates after revision.Does anyone know how to get the same iteration of all downstream items when it was last Released together with top level along with the references? Is there any pref

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I am installing the WC 13 and need to install the Directory server OpenDJ on windows environment. Needs exact version of OpenDJ to install.Description: I am installing the WC 13 and need to install the Directory server OpenDJ on windows environment. As per the Article - CS397683 it says to install the OpenDJ 3.5, which on page shows out of support. When checked further there are no downloads available on " https://backstage.forgerock.com/ " . I can see the lates version of OpenDJ has been released and it is supported as per the forgerock.com. Experts can you confirm which OpenDJ is recommended by PTC.Which Open version I should use, It will be great help if someone can guide on this. Thanks 

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: I need to Prevent the task passing out from the AND connector before preceding tasks are completed.Description: I need to prevent the Engineering BOM Work task from being generated before both the Review Design and Design Checking tasks are completed, in order to prevent the Design Checker task Engineering BOM Work task from being in Potential status and processing at the same time.This is the scenario were an AND gate is getting triggered even when one of the activity is completed, well if we return "rework to design work" task for Engineering BOM work task and then try to complete either review design task or Design checking task then also the AND connector is disabled and moved to next task.. which should not happenThis issue is possible if the change is sent back to Design work more than once and the Design Checking and Review Design tasks are not completed in the same order.attached image for reference

Hi,    I have done some changes in ACL to deny for all ECN access to user that had impacted all open ecn and all them were terminated and set to resolve. is there a way to reset to all affected ecn to a state on a particular time.    this is in prduction system   Regards, Karthik

Hello Community,I have an assembly with a section that has some parts excluded from the section under "Sectioning" -> "Intersect with All" -> "Remove Selected". I can save this as an Annotation Set, and the section even is displayed correctly in the Thumbnail View. However, when I open this Annotation Set later, the parts that were excluded from the section are displayed as sectioned again (i.e. all parts are displayed as sectioned, including the parts that i Had excluded from the section).Why is that so, and how can I permanently exclude the desired parts from the section?

Dear community, In my compagny, we have the rule to Auto Promote Older Versions of an CAD object to Obsolete.This practice is to ensure that purchase and production departments are using the most recent, approved version of drawings when we launch the procurement of parts and the fabrication order. However, this create problems if changes are made for future products and production ends up with plans marked as obsolete. Product Relevant documents are shared on projects folders and the State of the objects follow the life cycle of the product context. What is your practice ? Do you Promote Older Versions of an CAD object to Obsolete ? Do you have maybe an intermediate status like "Superseded" ? Additionnal informations : At that time, we don't use the mBOM transformation netheir part instance but this is planned. Could this help ?

My assumption is that the information I am looking for is contain in the .ol file. I was looking for a way to pull the mass value as an indicated that mass properties were properly done from a workflow check. Is there an API that can interact with .ol files?
